Audio 5.1

Been a repeat customer here for a few years now and I’ve never been disappointed. Doesn’t matter your budget you will never be looked down upon they will just try and help you get the best setup you can for your budget. Quality of the gear they have is amazing.

Let’s just say Shand is the best guy to be buying all your audio equipment from. He’s always been a great guy to deal with. I’ve bought my Martin Logan speakers and Yamaha amp and preamp from him and couldn’t be happier with it. Don’t go to any of the big box stores, support him and Canadian.

Over 40 years I've purchased around $100k of home audio equipment from places as far and wide as Hong Kong, Slovakia, France, Britain, US and Canada - but mostly I've purchased from audio dealers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC. Over that time I learned a thing or two about people who buy and sell..
I've purchased high end audio components from Shand since we first met in 1993 at his humble shop, a crammed basement in a small building on what used to be Edmonton's 'Stereo Row' on 124th Street. Shand has shown me and every customer I've ever seen him with, an honesty, courtesy and willingness to serve any and all who show common courtesy. From my first $15 cable spades to my latest and last $26k system he has always gone 'that extra mile' for me as a customer and has ever since my first purchase of $15 cable spades. If someone feels any 'attitude' in Shand and family at Audio 5.1, then I suggest it is they who have the 'ego' problem.

The service was excellent every time I walk in.
This is a Non-snooty high end audio store. (5 stars)

I am not a fan of the speakers that are sold here (2 stars), but the amplifiers, receivers, power-amps and DACs are top tier. Brands such as Cary Audio and Parasound are stellar names for any High End HIFI system. (5 stars)

As for small items such as interconnects, jumpers and speaker wire etc, this store has a excellent selection and at HIFI quality. (5 stars)

Even if you are just shopping for entry level items such as a 5.1 or 7.1 home theater system, this IS the place to go.

Not only they sell better gear at reasonable price-they have better service and help to find what you want. A serious stereo shop for the serious shopper.

If you want high end product at a reasonable price, shop here. Check out their Paridigm speakers, Samsung TV's, Yamaha amps - all what you won't find in the box stores. Box stores sell low end stuff.

Not bad service, bit snooty even though went in to buy a 15k sound system lol.
