I took my 2011 sprinter 3500 in because it had gone into limp mode. Well first off I took it in for a recall campaign last year and they had my truck for 50 days and when I picked it up they said that my truck which is a commercial vehicle and a diesel and suggested $10,000 dollars worth of work that had nod needed to be done. The only thing that was true was a oil leak that is common to start at around 110,000 mile mark and mine had just started around the 117,000 mile mark. They wanted $3,500 to fix it. Mercedes uses bad seals that go out early and leak. So I took it to an independent service near my home and they fixed it and put a new alternator and other things for $3,200. So I also had them scan everything for any other problems and to get it out of limp mode. . They tried several attempts while I was right their using two scanners. So before I took it in for all the work about two days before that it went into limp mode and my Def light was on and at zero starts although it still started but the mechanic who did my repairs could not get it out of limp mode but it started and was running but very slow so I told him I will just have it towed to so.bay Mercedes because it had extended warrantee for those kind of issues. So my only concern was to get it out of that mode so it will drive normally. We'll after around two months I was called by Naomi and told I needed glow plugs and a module and it would be $1,600 to do I the work. Well what nao.i ceases to forget or listen to is I had it scanned for any issues including that issue and they were fine but this is protocall for theses kind of places and it's ridiculous tho charge anyone that .u have for a one hour job that is in reality not needed. So they have attitude now because I do not feel like getting scammed. So she told me that my Ecu did need to be reset and was. So k went to pick it up and the service manager told me that it hadn't been started since I dropped it off and the ECU HAD NOT BEEN RESET. SO I HAD TO JUMP START IT WITH with my own personal vehicle . So I let it charge for around 10 minutes and everything was charged up all lights and were on and it was ready to start and I made several attempts and no luck it would not even turn over. It got nothing so I contacted Naomi and she had attitude and said well u did not want us to do the glow plugs and that was the reason for it being in limp mode . And that is b.s . Because I had it checked before I brought it to them. So now my truck is still sitting their and it always started since I've had it . Never have I had any issue with it not starting. And they are ignoring me about my truck now because I'm not paying money they want for work not needed. I am being bamboozled. And I do not know what to do except I feel like going their and snapping on them Flipping out on them for treating me so messed up. All I want is my truck back and running like it was when I dropped it off. I will never take .t truck back to them and never buy another .ercedez Benz in my life ever. I hope people will read this review because I am whole heartedly telling the honest to God's truth about all this. One thing I hate is people lieing about and scamming people without a confidence. I will never sell my soul to the devil as they make practice of at so. Bay Mercedes Benz.
