As a family medicine physician, I oversee many facets of palliative/end-of-life care.My clinical expertise includes knee, shoulder and hip injections, as well as skin biopsies. I'm a strong advocate for diversity in practice, serving as co-chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. I have also presented on social justice, systemic racism and the African American experience in several grand rounds and regional lectures.The most rewarding part of my job is knowing that a patient feels heard and their concerns are addressed. I want to make sure patients feel listened to and foster a good doctor-patient relationship.My goal as a physician is to serve as a resource of information for patients and to provide all the information required to make the best decision regarding their care. I believe the interaction between doctor and patient is a partnership, and this relationship is strengthened with good communication.
