Karla Jarvis, MSN, FNP-C is dedicated to providing all of her patients with the attention and care they deserve. She created Jarvis Family Medical Services in Louisville, Kentucky, as a place for people of all ages to receive both medical and wellness treatment in a friendly, comfortable environment. Her goal is to make all her patients feel and look their best in order to live happy, productive lives. Karla Jarvis is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois, with a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing and then worked as a nurse for eight years in a variety of hospital settings: the intensive care unit (ICU); the transitional care unit (TCU); medical surgery; and the emergency room. She then went on to study at Indiana Wesleyan University for her Master’s in Science in nursing, specializing in family medicine, graduating in 2012 with honors. As a family nurse practitioner, Karla Jarvis has worked in a variety of settings, including home health, rehabilitation, long-term care, orthopedic surgery, and pain management. To gain expertise in rejuvenation treatments, Karla Jarvis trained at the National Laser Institute for Aesthetic Care in Dallas, Texas. Karla Jarvis is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, HSPN/Health and Services Providers Network, the Chamber of Jeffersontown/Chamber of Commerce, and the Louisville Small Business Association. She is affiliated with several area hospitals, including Baptist Health in Louisville and Norton Hospitals, Inc., and her practice cooperates with several area doctors and specialists. Karla Jarvis currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with her husband and three children.
