Perfect example as to why commission based models are horrible for the consumer.
I was given a deal for them to come clean carpets. 30 dollars off. They show up to the door. Automatically I felt like Iwas walking into a trap. The upsells were three times as much as the original service. Oh but he would give me a discount. This was already our upswell as we were going to do it ourselves. He went on to say why that's a bad idea and how those machines from Safeway don't work etc

I wanted to reach out to you to address your concerns, as we definitely don't want to have any client who is unhappy with the work. Over the phone all of our clients are set up with a basic carpet cleaning package, which includes more products and services than some other companies. For every job we go to, we go there to do the work. The only time our technicians will make any advisement on other services, are if a client would benefit from the service. If a client agrees that additional work would be beneficial, then that's the only time the price could change. Most jobs only require the standard package, but we always have our premium products and services if the job requires it.

Please give me a call at the office, so we can go over your job specifically and make sure you're happy with the work you had done.

This carpet cleaning experience was the worst ever encountered..very very poor job..person tried to sell additional services..said carpet was too old to come clean ..stairs not even touched as far as cleaning goes,..carpet was "dry" in less than 1/2 hour ..ran hand along edges of carpet not even damp which would suggest not even touched by so called cleaning..to top it off charged extra saying it was estimated wrong..paid over400.00 for nothing..this was a clean prior to a move in..hear your commercials and wish I could relate my experience,,,just as a question as these people employees or sub contractors..also this was a whole house not a one room job..M.Hrom@shaw.ca

Machines used are nothing more than what you rent at the grocery store. My carpets had stains and they kept trying to upsell scrubbing. Actually left a huge stain from their machine. I called to say the service was poor. The person said they would come back and redo. this was not going to happen, I had to hand scrub the stain they left. Stairs were poorly cleaned and they left marks all over walls which were freshly painted. Poor service and bad cleaning. Would not recommend even if they would come back

A few yrs ago my grandparents hired them to clean the house ducts. When the men arrived, one of the men was so loud and obnoxious, he could be heard clear as day from the basement and I was in the attic, talking nonsense about how crazy the duct system was. He kept raising the price from the original $250 to $550. Finally I called my uncle to warn him that my grandparents (his mom and dad) were about to be scammed so he asked me to put them on the phone with him. After a lot of complaining, they agreed to the original price.

They cleaned ducts for about 45 minutes and took off. It looked like they were using a vacuum cleaner. Did not act professional at all.

We are so sorry about the experience your grandparents had with our company. We strive to make sure that all of our clients have a positive experience with us! The only time there is additional charges applied to an invoice is if there is additional work added on while our technicians are on site. Any additional work added is discussed with the home owner and needs to be approved prior to us doing the additional work. There are times when we schedule in a duct cleaning package and the home owners think that their system is within the limits of the package, but sometimes we discover when our technicians are there that they have more main ducts or vents. Your grandparents could have been one of those situations. We do not know the configuration of the ventilation system until we visit a home, but we do try to communicate clearly what is included within the package. If the system is larger or has anything outside of the package, our technicians are required to discuss it with the home owner prior to starting the job. Again, we are truly sorry for the negative experience you had with us. I encourage you to have your grandparents contact our office to discuss all the concerns they had with the service they received from us. All client feedback is appreciated and utilized to make our company better.

Not actually a BBB rated company despite using the symbol on their website. A PO box for a business address. Telemarketing calls to people on the National Do Not Call List (big fine coming your way guys!) and telemarketing with "Private Name" call ID. I'm also really, really suspicious of the two glowing 5 star reviews along with the one person who seems to have actually used their services rating them 1/2 star. Not that I don't believe "Mrs. Hamilton" It just looks to me like a company who did some online research of their company and came across a negative review. Astroturfing's not cool guys.... Two reviews in three days after two years on a negative one isn't suspicious at all....no, not at all....

We had Super value Home services out to our home to clean our Ducts, Furnace and carpets. We could not resist the cute little boy talking about his Dad on the radio commercials. I was very pleased with not only the results but the outstanding service. We were in a bit of a pickle for time as we had just got word that our grandaughter was comming over to spend Thanksgiving with us. This was wonderful news, but we really wanted to clean the home first as she is asthmatic.
Super Value sent out their men the very next day, and took care of all the work in one convenient visit. Thanks for everything Super Value. We will definitely be spreading the word about your great service.

We had our ducts cleaned recently. When I called for info and asked "how does your portable duct cleaning machine compare to the normal machines of 1 ton trucks... they said same power and suction..... bs!!!

The tech were here about 45 min and after they left we found 3 ducts that were dirty and after 4 hours of having had dusted, allot of dust would resurface.

I called to complain (as they have a guarantee) and was promised a re-run. Tech came over and instead of just redoing the job, instead the idiot decides to talk my husband out of the work and claimed there was nothing wrong with the first run.... just to get away with redoing the work.


I then called the office back to complain once more and left serveral messages but no one was returning my phone call.

Finally the "owner " called me back. This man sounded like a teenager and was very abusive and very demeaning over the phone and did not let me get a word in edgewise at all!! he called me stupid and called me a liar more then once, he yelled and screamed and did not care at all that his company failed. Were where charged 400.00 and ripped off. Tried to get my money back and they would not even give me a penny back. The owner is such a loser and cant belive he is in customer realtions. I told him that I used to work at power vac and know what proper duct cleaning is suppose to look like, his response" well they are not in buisness anymore are they!


did research on the portable duct cleaing and found out the portable plugs in to an electrical outlet and the REAL DUCT COMPANIES use the power of a ONE TON TRUCK FOR SUCTION!!! BOY WERE WE HAD!!!!

I have dealt with Super Value Home Services. I found their service to be outstanding. Before hiring Super Value I checked out their website and found many,many reparable testimonials. I also checked with the BBB and was told That Super Value has A Triple AAA rating, the highest rating given. Sounds like who ever wrote this scathing report, is either A: a competitor or B: just not a very nice person. I for one will continue to support this woderful, family owned, Manitoba business.

Thank you for taking the time to review our company and provide us with feedback regarding the service you received.

In 2009 we had already acquired another duct cleaning company, so we had and continue to have both portable and truck mounted units available to service clients’ homes. We use both of the systems interchangeably and use the same cleaning method to clean the main ducts in the home with both systems. In regards to the length of time it takes to do duct cleaning, it does vary depending on the length and configuration of your ventilation system. Some homes take a shorter period of time to clean, whereas others will take longer.

However, if a client is not satisfied with the results and calls us back within 7 business days, we will come out one more time free of charge to go over the portion of the system where the client had the concern. If vents were missed in your home, than the technicians that came for the re-service would have re-cleaned those vents, they would not re-clean the entire system, unless upon inspection of the system it was clear that they were not cleaned properly. When we go back to a clients’ home we inspect the work that was initially done to make sure it was done properly. Now we also take photos of the main ducts before and after so you can see the results for yourself and we even have a robot that can do a duct analysis. It has a full colour visual display on the remote control so the client can see directly into their own ducts.

In regards to the pricing of the duct cleaning it sounds like you had more work done than what is covered with our basic package. We have a standard package which includes the cleaning of the 2 main ducts and up to 15 vents. If a home has additional ducts that need to be cleaned or additional vents, than there is an additional charge. However, all of our technicians are required to talk to the home owners prior to starting any of the work to discuss their ventilation system and to see which work the client would like to have done. There have been many times where the additional work just isn’t in their budget and the clients stay with the basic package. I understand how extra work can be frustrating for a consumer, but we do not know if there is any additional work to be done on a ventilation system until we have seen the system ourselves.
