My wisdom teeth were shifting the rest of my teeth and my dentist did not want to remove them so I came to St George Dental after hearing great things. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out at once by Dr. Stephanie and as scary as it sounds everything went well! Throughout the surgery she asked if I was feeling okay and the procedure ended up being quicker than I expected.

The office is kept clean and you can even watch TV while getting your teeth cleaned! Also the receptionist was super sweet! Since my visit, I've even referred my friends.

Best dental office in the area. The staff is fantastic, the service and work is top-notch. They offer services all the services you will need. They are located in downtown Toronto. If people are looking for a dental referral, I never hesitate to recommend St George Dental. It has taken me years and countless trips to poor dentists to finally find them and I will never go anywhere else.

St GEorge dental staff are very friendly and having smiley faces all the time. Dentists are helpful and informative. I visited them a couple of times about my dental care problem (a small complication after an extraction ) each time they spent around half an hour with me without a charge Now I am taking my child to them for his dental care too. These guys are great! Seeing their excellent ratings and reviews, I recently came to them seeking a second opinion on a dental plan (and was also, potentially, in the market for a new dentist), and I was elated that they lived up to their reputation. In my limited experience with them, they...

- Were VERY accommodating,
- Fit me into their busy schedule,
- Were sweet about my being a bit late (which I don't condone, but I got lost en route!), and
- Were very honest, attentive, knowledgeable, and patient, and took time to answer all my questions. (Dr David was the dentist kind enough to see me, at the time.)

I would definitely go back.

I have never gone to a dentist that was so detailed in the understanding of your teeth than this place. This place is very personable and I recommend anyone to go to this place from the service and the performance of operation. I loved everything about this place.

*Cleanliness - This place is very welcoming; nice clean white walls with modern look. You can't have a clean set of teeth from a dentist if they can't show that the place they work is not clean.

**Everyone from receptionist, dentist and hygienist is very friendly and informative. They had all the information on the screen to inform me of what's going on with my teeth and what needs to get done and how I can get it done.

*** I was very pleased of the operation. There is some uncomfortably, but this was the least pain I have ever been in during operation. You actually have the choice to watch TV while operating and waiting in the chair. It's peculiar for me, but I assume many people will like it.

St George Dental is amazing. Appointment reminders are sent over email. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The facilities are pristine and state of the art. Cleanings are painless and effective. And there are TVs above the chairs so you can watch shows while you're getting your work done! If I could, I would rate this place 10 stars!

Nobody looks forward to the dentist, but I am actually excited to go back to St George Dental Dental in 6 months for another cleaning.

As I recently moved to a Toronto I was on the hunt for a new dentist, after calling more than a handful of dental offices I landed on St George Dental and I'm so glad I did. They were accommodating right from the get go and were able to assist me asap. Everyone was friendly and helpful from the receptionist to assistants to the dentist herself. Dr. Chan took the time to listen to me thoroughly and work with me on how we would move forward as well as make the price reasonable considering I don't have an insurance plan. This was the only dentist I found in a Toronto that would even look at my teeth without a cleaning and/or new full set of X-rays - which is amazing in itself. The procedures I've had done already this past week went smoothly and Dr. Chan made me feel comfortable and calm (I normally hate the dentist!!!) I no longer feel nervous prior to my dental appointments. I couldn't be happier that I found St George Dental and would recommend them to anyone!!

Who likes the dentist? No one. But this place makes it not so bad. Everyone at St George Dental is kind, friendly and extremely talented. If you're nervous about going to the dentist, this is the place to go. I had avoided going to a dentist for over 5 years, and I was terrified of going in and being scolded and finding out my teeth and gums were beyond saving. My husband referred me to them and the team at St George Dental were so sweet and understanding. They even gave me numbing for it, and they split my cleaning into separate visits so it wouldn't be such an ordeal (for me and the staff haha). The genuine happiness the staff showed as my gums have improved over the last 7 months shows me they really do care. They've never scolded me or made me feel guilty for not taking care of my teeth for so many years. The dentists are very skilled and friendly, the hygienists and assistants are incredibly gentle and personable, and the reception staff are warm and will greet you as you come in, so you never worry that you're being ignored. Another thing I have experienced at other dentists offices, is that the dentist will come in, quickly examine you, brusquely say things to the assistant or hygienist, then leave. That has never happened here! They have great bedside manners, and never make me feel like an inconvenience. I have had some cavities filled, and a gap closed between two teeth, as well as a night guard made. Once they even polished down a small chip in my tooth for no extra cost. There were some problems with my insurance, but it was all worked out between the staff and my insurance company and I didn't have to make any stressful phone calls. They have televisions put right into the ceilings for you to watch (but if you're the type like me to just close your eyes, they don't mind that either). I honestly never thought I'd write a review for a dentist before, but this place is honestly worth it. I have already recommended St George Dental to my friend and she's made an appointment even though she is really scared of the dentist. If you make this place your dentist, you won't be disappointed, I promise.

I've never had any major dental work before, and I came here with my first ever cavity that needed filling, unsure what it entailed.

Long story short, Dr. Cheng took great care of me, easing any apprehensions I had about the procedure. He made sure I was comfortable the entire time, gave me plenty of background and the "how's" and "why's" and all that which I'm sure I annoyed him with.

Everybody in the staff was very professional and kind, and I look forward to going to them in the future (as much as I can look forward to a dentist, anyway).

I moved to Toronto about a year ago, and have been looking for a reputable dentist in the area. After reading many positive reviews of this dental clinic, I decided to get my dental services here, and it has been nothing but a great experience so far.

Dr. Stephanie is by far the best dentist I've worked with, and is a professional health care provider that truly cares for her patients. She is friendly, personable, and extremely thorough with her explanations, even on a simple topic such as cavities. Dr. Stephanie also does a fantastic job of asking me whether I'm doing ok periodically, and allowing me to address questions or concerns. I immediately felt at ease after my first dental exam appointment, and came back for a follow-up for cavity fillings. In addition, I have not had to wait more than a couple of minutes after each appointment time to be seen, which is sometimes unheard of with doctor/dentist appointments.

The staff members along with Dr. Stephanie are what makes this place great. Everyone is so helpful and professional, and I've had great interactions with the receptionist, dental hygienist, and dental assistant.

Lastly, the modern state of the art space of St George Dental is nothing like I've ever seen in a dental office.

I never thought I'd say this, but my experience here makes me look forward to dental visits. I will continue to make appointments here during my time in Toronto, and I highly recommend those looking for dental services to do the same!

From the moment you walk into the office the entire staff is friendly and warm. The hidden gem though are the TV's on the ceiling! It really does take your mind off of the visit and it flies by! It's also nice to be able to catch up on a little daytime TV every now and then!

Dr. Cheng is extremely professional, experienced and kind. He takes time to answer questions thoughtfully and without making you feel rushed. I would highly recommend if you live and/or work in Toronto.

The goodie bag with a toothbrush, floss and toothpaste is also perfect for leaving in the office for those after lunch breaks.

Dr David Cheng and his team received me professionally, thoroughly, and with great care. This in much contrast to my last dentist that made me feel like I was just an insurance to be billed or a part on an assembly line. Doctor Cheng took the time out to explain my x-rays, ask about any concerns, and go over all the points of tooth health. His staff is courteous, equipment is modern, and I appreciate the automatic reminder that gets sent to me every 6 months for a cleaning. I really feel the individualized attention and don't think that I will ever have to change dentists again.

I've been going to the same dentist since I was a kid and finally decided it was time for a change. The office was too far and I wasn't too pleased with my past couple of experiences so I headed online to find a new dentist. After searching Google and calling a few places, there was something about this office that made me wanna check it out and after my visit today, I'm happy to say this was the best dental visit I've had.

Prior to my appt, they sent me the paperwork I needed to complete via email and that saved a bit of time. Although I had to verify the information listed when I arrived and sign a few more things, it was time consuming. I was called back a little before my appointment time and was greeted by a nice young lady (Rosie). She asked me a few things about my medical history and then it was time to begin.

When I made my appt, they told me it was going to last an hour and 15 min and I couldn't figure out for the life of me why a visit would take so long but they did a full set of X-rays, she checked my gum health, reviewed my X-rays to show me what was really going on, and did a cleaning that made me feel as though I had a new set of teeth. It is also nice to watch the TV on the ceiling while they do their work.

Once she finished, she called Dr. Cheng in and he was just the friendliest. He let me know how to keep dental health in check and I really appreciated both of them for taking the time to explain everything. It's nice to know they aren't just in it for the money. Speaking of money, they have several options to pay which was great.

I mean who likes going to the dentist? I think I just might.

I had a cleaning and a filling in October. When I booked the filling, I had to pay a $100 deposit, which I was told would be refunded to me a week or two after the filling. (They said the deposit is required when the UofT student health/dental coverage is still in the opt-out period, because it's possible that students could get dental services and then just drop their health plan. So I understand why they ask for a deposit.) At the beginning of December, I realized that I had never gotten my deposit back and hadn't heard anything from them. I called and the receptionist said the cheque still wasn't ready, but it should be ready within 1-2 weeks and they would call me when it was. At the beginning of January, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called back again on Jan.4. The receptionist said, again, the cheque wasn't ready but would be in 1-2 weeks, and they would call me. I finally got a call from them on Jan. 16 and picked it up on the same day. I asked the receptionist how long it normally takes for students to get their deposit back and she said 1-2 weeks. I gently explained to her how this nearly 4 month process made me feel like if I had simply forgotten to follow up, I wouldn't have gotten my money back and that I was going to go to a different dentist because I don't want to have this 4-month follow up process after every dental visit. Then another more senior receptionist joined the conversation and explained to me emphatically that the process for issuing cheques to refund students' deposits normally takes months. I suggested that if that was the case, they perhaps shouldn't mislead students by saying 1-2 weeks, and she had nothing to say other than that I was free to go to another dentist. It's not as though I was relying on that $100 deposit for my living expenses, but I really wonder if I would have gotten it back had I not followed up. I don't understand why it takes 4 months to write a cheque. I'm just posting this so students are aware that they should be cautious of not being taken advantage of at this place. From looking at the other reviews, it seems like I'm not the only one with that concern.

I have never taken the time to write a review online, but my experience at Dr. Chan's office was so good that I have to leave her and her staff a great review. I am one who does NOT like to go to the dentist and it had been about two years since I had been. Before coming, I had read other positive reviews about her and her responses to others online which persuaded me that she seems to be a thorough dentist who knows her work, which is what I wanted. So I decided to give her a try.

I was not disappointed. One of her hygienists, Jennifer, who worked on me, did a great job of asking questions of personal medical and dental history, comforting me while taking x-rays, taking measurements on my gums (this is the part I especially don't like at the dentist, but this was the best experience I can remember having), and doing my cleaning. I wanted a thorough cleaning job. She told me that is what she planned to do and that is what I feel I received. She was so positive and for me that is a BIG plus. Afterwards Dr. Chan came in and followed up. She was very easy to talk to. I just liked her as a person.

Now I actually look forward to going back in for my next checkup because I believe they are helping me have healthier teeth and gums. And Jennifer is so positive! Thank you St George Dental!

Dr. Chan and her staff are the best in the business. I have been scared of the dentist my whole life due to several bad experiences, but that has all changed now that I've found St George Dental. I cannot recommend her dental office highly enough and will never go to another dentist.
