Had our driveway and walkway done just before winter. End of driveway started bubbling and peeled away in some spots. After 3 months of calls and emails, owner finally came out, took a look and said the product was not thick enough when first put on and would make arrangements to come back and repair. That was almost 3 months ago. Emails and phone calls go unanswered from them. Absolutely brutal service with warrantly work. Buyer beware, they want your money, do a sub par job and never to be heard from again when issues arrise. Would never recommend them to anybody other than the Better Business Bureau to have them look into this company.

Had a full playground installed by them and within months the surface material started to break away and it uncovered that it was as thin as 1" in places and was suppose to be 4". Regardless they said there was nothing they could do even though it had a 5 year warranty. They are pretty much a scam company selling a product they cut corners and skimp on material only to leave you with an inferior product they will do nothing to help you with even though it is under warranty. Buyer be ware. They will not return messages once they receive verification they need to return to the job.

Have been trying for the last four years to get questions answered about the job they did on our porch. Worst customer service ever. Do yourself a favour and avoid doing buisness with Rubaroc

I have done a few pool decks. Overall the product is fine. We needed some touch up done after the fact and have worked for a year to get any response and have gotten no where. They certainly have one of the worst customer service departments that I have ever worked with. I have left several messages and even talked to Barry (Owner) at one point who promised to get me help and then never returned a call after that. Absolutely would never recommend your product to anyone.

I think it is so interesting that so many people have had the same problem that we have had. Incredibly poor customer service accompanied by a substandard product. I have been trying for the last three years to get the coloration on my rubaroc surface fixed by the company. There are multiple white spots where the surface has discoloured. I think all of us have a couple of options: sue in small claims court or go to Consumer SOS (Global tv) Sean O'shea and CBC Go Public. I intend to do all three.

We had rubaroc installed in July 2018 by a guy from Brampton. It has looked like this ever since! Nothing like the brochure! The certified rubaroc installer told us it was bad resin, we believed him, so he went over it with new resin. 2019, 2020 and now 2021, white everywhere! We emailed Barry pictures never hear from anyone. Don't use them ever!!!!! We are still trying to figure out how to fix this!

We were very pleased with the product - originally - not now! We had a couple of patches done - they have pulled away from the original surface leaving unsightly cracks. We have been trying to get satisfaction from Rubaroc for almost a year - multiple phone calls, messages. I started with the local office, but eventually called the Canada office - no help. This company does not stand by its own product, will not honor their warranties. I would not recommend doing business with them.

We had it installed around our pool and apparently they used the wrong resin. It turned white and areas started coming up immediately. We were told they would replace it. It has been 4 years now and nothing has been done and no response from the company. To expensive to not get it right

We had our driveway done about six years ago and it is as good as the day it was installed. I highly recommend this company.

Rubaroc came to do some repairs. They now ruined my backyard!! A THIRD owner came to see the damage and said they would come back and fix the problem. It has been two years and they no longer respond to my emails. How was your problem with the company resolved?

Worst company run by a bunch of scam artists. Used to be owned by a con man and has let his son run things who is worse than the original Barry Meakings ever was.

Spent $16,000.00 to have rubaroc put around our pool and was guaranteed by the salesman that there would be no seams. The crew quit in the afternoon promising to return the next day and finish the job (even though they did not have that much left to do)and also promised that where they stopped there would be no seams showing when they picked up the job! Of course when they picked up the next day, there was a seam and I was told that it could not be helped as it was a starting point again!!!!! They were too fast, they just seem to wanted to get it done and was sloppy in their work!!!! Called once after that about the seam, guy came out and said that they would have to have another seam to fix that seam!!!!! These people have no idea what they are talking about and once they have your money, you can forget about the service.

This year started calling in July to the Oakville office, spoke to a Julie, she said to send pictures, after I asked for someone to come out. Sent pictures, was sent an email stating that their was no one available due to the time of year. Have sent 3 more emails advising that since our warranty runs out in September that I would expect Rubaroc to honour it and still nothing!!!!

This product has been faulty from the start. Every year this product has been a "pain in my ass" to sweep, clean, disinfect the mold and there are areas that have worn away, that to me has happened because of poor workmanship!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET CONCRETE!! I have already told numerous people not to use this product, not even in a small area and will NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!!

Pool deck installed in summer of 2017 spent $6700 on 400Sq feet if Rubaroc. Noticed white resin after swimming and especially after winter. Contacted Rubaroc Canada, alot of promises and very little action. After months of "we are working on a chemical cleaner to fix the issue" and a lousy attempt at cleaning it which made my pool cloudy and the issue worse, we contacted a lawyer. When we went to serve them papers for court we found out they changed their conpany name to Rubaroc - Oakville. Looks like the lawyers will have to redo all the paperwork, issue still not resolved, company changed its name, 3 people including my installer, Sales lady and project co-ordinator all quit in the past year. I'd highly recommend avoiding a disaster and go with another company. To get someone to take accountability for poor craftsmanship is like pulling teeth.l with these guys. Google my FB group its all been documented on their poor customer service with full photos of the section missing and issue. Never again!! #RubarocWhiteFilmIssue

We recently had our pool deck resurfaced with rubaroc. It looks great. Best of all, it is "cool" on the feet compared to what the concrete was. I also find that the water does not pool like it did on concrete. The deck is not slippery.
I want to thank Rubaroc for quickly repairing the deck as a result of squirrels running across the deck an hour of installation, before it had a chance to set.
I would highly recommend Rubaroc on a pool deck.

We have had issues with the product since day 1. First it had a yellow stain from the resin. They then added a coat on top but did not seal it properly so it has been flakeing off to the point we have some bare spots. We have tried to get them to fix the issue for two years now. By the time they get back to you they say it’s the end of the season and no one is available. Call back next spring. They did this two years in a row. They don’t return emails or phone calls so you have to keep chasing them. Very poor service for an expensive product

After a couple of glitches they came back and fixed all the issues I had with the initial install. It's a great product if you get the right installers. Dylan and Robbie (I hope I spelled thier names right) are the guys you want, they where very polite and respectful and did a great job repairing the first installers mistakes. I am very satisfied with the end result.

Rubaroc resurfaced our condo first story deck yesterday after several delays due to April showers. We found the head office staff both professional and willing to make adjustments allowing for our other renovation projects currently going on. Their installers were careful, friendly, and a credit to the company. We would recommend Rubric to our neighbours under the understanding that Rubaroc itself did the job rather than an installer who may or may not get it done right.

Love my deck! Best investment I have made for my home. Rare is the occurrence that I feel compelled to send a letter of appreciation or leave a review on any company. Your company has truly exceeded my expectations in the remodeling of our pool deck. Your estimator was extremely knowledgeable and very well versed in the material options to include all the pros and cons for outdoor living spaces. His design ideas were incredible. We were able to customize our colors and had the option to put a logo in our deck.

Your install crew was exceptionally professional and provided a level of customer service that we had never seen in dealing with a construction company.

My pool deck exceeded my expectations. It does "bounce like rubber", and is cool on my feet as well as slip resistant. I will openly encourage my friends and acquaintances to use your services should they need their patio, pool deck, garage etc. remodeled.

Additionally, I will definitely use your company again as I am still wanting to use your product on our walkway and driveway in the future.

Hired Rubaroc to do around our deck and pool, we wanted a two tone affect, lighter around pool and a little darker on deck.
We noticed that both areas were same tone and were told by the kids installing that that's what they were told to do...I called my contact and he said wait till its all done and you will see the tone differance...

Rubaroc installer finally admitted to the error as both area's were identical and because of a level change between the 2 areas it was almost dangerous as your eye did not see the step up..

We wanted it redone but the installer suggested putting a dark border to split the 2 areas, still not what we paid for, but we agreed for a safety reason..
Was still a star design to be added as agreed upon by the installer for his original errors and some touch ups to be done where water was pooling..Our calls went un answered and could not get a hold of him.

It was not untill Rubaroc called me for an endoresment did I get to tell of our displeasure with our almost 7 grand experience, to find out from them that there installer had quit..

Long story short the owners son showed up to look at the job and agreed that work needed to be done to fix this mess...he then said for about 1100 dollars he could fix it..
He could not comprehend that why the Fluck would anyone pay an extra 1100 dollars to get something that they had already paid for

I had this product installed in 2011 in Ottawa and its held up to my dogs, my kids and the weather here! It is easy to keep clean and I just power washed it twice a year. I'd recommend to anyone for your pool or walkway like mine!

Rubaroc is a fully porous product that will allow water to flow around the rubber granules in the product, this is what give it it’s incredible non-slip finish.

If water is left standing it is possible that mold can grow around the product. This is not a deficiency of the product and the mold can be cleaned quickly and easily using chlorine.

Salt stains from salt-water pools can also be cleaned off using a pressure washer, however a high enough pressure needs to be used to effectively clean the stains off of the surface of the Rubaroc.

Like any flooring product, customers may need to clean their Rubaroc from time to time, however whatever the situation is there is an appropriate method to clean it.

Rubaroc installers provide full cleaning instructions and customers should contact their local Rubaroc representative or installer if they have any questions.

Rubaroc is the perfect surface in which to grow disgusting black mold that is impossible to eradicate.
Sadly Rubaroc Canada sees it as my problem not theirs.
Never again!

One thing I have to say 1st is that I have this completely around my salt water pool and there is no and never been any salt staining. But what I do want to caution is this material does not sit well on top of loose gravel surfaces of any kind no matter how well the substrate is prepared. A constant problem is as the winter and rain settles through the ruboroc it moves and displaces underneath causing bubbles or loose feeling under your feet. This should only be installed on top of concrete surfaces ONLY.
My area was done over twice in very big patches and the seam never lines up, the color matching is off and does not look nice overall. This will have to get taken out and put back with inter-lock stones which I was trying to avoid in the 1st place. Maybe one day there will be a class action suite launched and I could get my investment back.

Be very careful with rubber decking around a salt water pool. After a very short time white salt stains will appear on the deck and they are almost impossible to remove. We have tried pressure washing, salt remover, resealing the entire deck and nothing works. If you have a salt water pool stay away from rubber decking of any kind or change your pool from salt to regular water.
