scammers. This is a fraudulent "business"; I've gone to court and they still haven't paid me back the money they are legally obligated to reimburse.

Relocated for a new job with my fiancée from St John, NB to Montreal. We had a pick up scheduled at the end of November of 2022 and we just accepted delivery early January of 2023. We did have a hard time finding a new place, so we did end up using their storage services. The great part was that when we did find a new place, we gave them a few days notice and they showed up for delivery. The bed was assembled at my request which was great. The crew was amazing and very hard working. At the delivery end they had to take 3 flights of stairs they didn’t complain at all. It was later in the day and dark, but they were great. Had Jason and Eric and they were truly amazing. If you can request for these two fellows. We also worked with Courtney who was very patient and responded to every one of our email and calls. Great service from customer service. The price was very fair, and they included the delivery service from the facility to my new house, which was great and unexpected.

Great experience from this company. Canadian National was recommended to me by my co-worker who also recently moved from Winnipeg to the Hamilton area. We dealt with Courtney and we were happy with the outcome. The move took about 3 weeks all in and we were happy to receive the call that our stuff came shortly after we arrived. They did add some packing charges (mattress covers) to the billing which I got to keep. The truck that did the pick up was very large in Winnipeg so there was some long carry that had to be done, but the crew did have to talk everything across a busy street which is understandable. All in all, great service and I would use them again of course.

We recently relocated from Three Hills AB to Toronto. Very big move for us as we have never moved long distance before and we grew up in Alberta. Courtney was great to deal with and was very responsive. The shipment took about 2.5 weeks to arrive but that was ok as we were waiting for our rental unit to be painted. I was overall very happy with the service from start to finish.

My family moves this past March from Surrey, BC to Brampton in Ontario. I was offered a job in Ontario and we moved. We had our stuff picked up and packed and stored until delivery late May where we could find a house. I worked with Courtney, and I was very happy with her approach and her attention to everything. Had an inventory list filled out and got a quote. The final price was very close to the quote which was my biggest worry. I was also very happy with the overall service. Didn’t have any major damage and although the couch didn’t fit through the front door, the crew managed to go around the house and deliver it through the backyard door. I am not the one to post reviews, but I felt like this company deserved it as they did a very good service.

Hearing stories from others, we didn't believe there was a 5 star moving company. Canadian National VL changed this assumption completely. We love this team! The reviews are very real. Before the move they responded to emails quickly and clearly and the pricing is fair for the job. We were doing a big move from Toronto to Montreal (Terrebonne, QC). We had a bit of an emergency a few days before our move day, they handled it amazingly. The kindness of the team shine through in everything they do. The day of the move, they showed up on time. They were careful around the home. They helped pack things if needed. They took things apart and put them back together at the destination. Throughout the move, I kept thinking this is too good to be true. What's going to go wrong? Nothing went wrong :) We were so grateful to the team. They will always be in our hearts and we 100% recommend them to anyone looking for movers

I have moved several times across the country and this is definitely not an easy process. Canadian National made it much easier as they were very prompt, very careful with my belongings and very fast with the delivery. Moved from Winnipeg to Markham. I have already recommended this company to my friends at work and will recommend them to everyone I know. Strong, pleasant guys, were really careful and made sure that the stuff goes to the rooms it was supposed to go. They had a great attitude and were the most polite and caring guys among the movers I hired before. Definitely recommend these guys. Courtney was amazing to work with as well. The quality/price ratio surprisingly good and satisfying.

Thank you guys!

Worst Moving company ! They are complete frauds.

They will make up fake charges and refuse to deliver your belongings until you pay these extra charges made up on the spot of delivery. Your alternative is they will leave all of your stuff on the side of the highway. But wait they will at lease put a tarp on it for you.

If you hire these movers, expect to pay your invoice. Then pay more before they will complete the service.

These are a bunch of fraudsters

I feel I was misled with creative wording on the quote - it is my fault for not reading between the lines... But I asked straight questions and wrongfully assumed I got a direct answer.

So I was irritated, but accepted that I should've been more attentive to their EXACT words.... So I would've given a 3.5 star review up to delivery.

Then, we started to unpack. Box marked "heavy" squishing a box marked "Fragile" - resulting in broken heirloom dishes from my Grandma... a broken bookcase (thankfully fixable)... Boxes on their side, broken backyard storage bin (squished by boxes) - I've not opened it yet to see if the items inside are broken...

Not a great experience. I won't use this company again.

I hired Canadian National Van Lines to move my belongings from Vancouver to Ottawa. The company tried to fraudulently overcharge me by roughly $2,400 (charging me over $6,000 on a move that should have cost less than $4,000). They did this through various lies and deceptive practices. It's clear that these lies are part of the company's regular business operations. As a separate matter, the company also damaged or destroyed many of my belongings, for which I am pursuing a resolution through civil litigation. The first way they tried to over charge me by roughly $2,050 was by claiming that my belonging weighed roughly %50 more than their initial estimate, 6,000 lbs instead of 4,000 lbs. They did not provide any evidence for this, but expected me to pay an extra $2,050 for the extra weight. The truck that showed up to pack my things was already half full of other people's belongings, so I was suspicious about how they weighed only my items. I asked for a weigh receipt indicating the weight of my belongings and confirmation that they had some way to separate the weight of my items from everyone else's. They changed their story on me several times, and after about 25 emails back and forth, they suddenly "realized" that my belongings actually came in under the estimated weight. Still, with no weigh receipt (which they are required to provide in most provinces). Clearly they had never weighed anything. The next dirty trick was an "error" in the sum total I owed. There were charges for packing, shipping, storage, a stair fee and taxes. Yet somehow, when all these items were added together, the total they listed was about $190 more than that actual, mathematical total of the # listed. I confronted them about this, and it still took several emails for them to list the correct addition. They kept just dismissing the fact that they were outright trying to deceive me. Finally, after all this, I became suspicious of every line in the bill, so on a hunch, I checked that they applied the correct tax rate. Of course they had over charged me on that too, by about $75. I asked them several times, what percentage rate they used for calculating the tax, and if they were using a different province's sales tax. They either refused to answer, or were as vague as possible. Finally, after many more emails back and forth, they corrected their "mistake". By this point, I had exchanged over 90 emails with the company, just to get them to charge me the honest amount we had agreed to. Of course, many of my items arrived damaged or destroyed. They caused several thousand dollars worth of damage to my stuff, through objectively negligent packing and handling. I made a claim for about $1,300. After ignoring me, or telling me I had never actually made a claim (actually) for 6 months, they offered me $50. I am currently pursuing them in civil court on this matter.

I recently did a move with Canadian National VL from Truro, NS to Toronto, ON and I have to say, it was the best move I have done in the multiple times I have moved being in the military. Staff at the office and the movers we very professional and respectable and gave me more information than I asked for to make sure it went smooth. I had a few concerns but they re-assured me and made me feel comfortable. I took my time getting across the country and they said about 20 days to get there. My household arrived before I did and they stored my stuff until I got there 5 days later. Fast was an understatement. The price was right and didn’t go through the roof even when I added a lot more to stuff than I mentioned. 3 of my military friends already moved with them and are still recommending their services.

I was very pleased with the services provided by Canadian National Van Lines, Inc..I can't say enough about Frank and his team of workers on both my move out and move in days. They arrived on time and were very hard working, wasted no time and took the extra special care I required for so many of my delicate items like stained glass windows and sculptures. They were respectful and careful and so amiable. They were so willing to reset things in a room to where I wanted them on the day of my move in that it just made things much less stressful, particularly because of their willingness to help. They completely put my mind at ease and I was able to get things done while they were here in my new home. That's not to discount the help of Courtney and Hanna in the office. Courtney sent me the proper forms to get an accurate quote and followed up each step of the way. I They were all so helpful and kind that it made this very stressful process so much better than I anticipated. I can't thank them all enough for their wonderful service and I will definitely recommend Canadian National Van Lines. to all family and friends when in need.

Just a quick note to say thank you for your excellent service, my items all
arrived in Vancouver on time and in great condition. Still busy getting settled in, however I have already referred a friend of mine in Calgary to your company, he will be calling/emailing you to get a contact who can provide the same professional service that you guys did.
Keep up the excellent work!

I would just like to say a very big "thank you" for moving us from Toronto to Nanaimo this February. It's quite a daunting task finding a mover because for every one good story, you hear 20 bad ones. Everyone we dealt with at Canadian National van lines was friendly, courteous and professional. A special "thank you" to Courtney in Edmonton who helped at sales and Abigail in Dispatch and most of all everyone who helped him with the physical move. I will definitely recommend you any time.

I've used Canadian National Van Lines twice. Once to move from Toronto to Montreal and my most recent move from Montreal to Whitby and both times they provided a top notch service like I had not seen before in the moving industry (and I've moved quite a bit before). They are very careful with all your belongings and wrap everything with the utmost care. They are careful with hardwood floors or rugs. They cover the floor to avoid any damage. The estimates were pretty accurate both time and I actually ended up paying less than was originally quoted.

Moves are very stressful, especially when you move from a city where not that many companies travel to. I moved from Grande Prairie, AB to Miami, FL and made lots of research and there were very few companies were able to make the move and Canadian National was one of them and had the best price among those others. They assisted with customs and clearance and followed up when the shipment was ready to cross. The move was so easy that I didn't even notice it how it passed. Movers were very polite, customer service was great and very accurate with the details and their estimates. They sent me a list of inventory to fill out and gave me a very accurate estimate. After adding a few more items, we were surprised to find out that the actual cost was within $181.00 from original quote. Delivery was done in about 5 weeks from the pickup. Very happy with the service and recommended Canadian National Van Lines already to everyone I know! Thanks guys!

I researched at least 10 companies before choosing Canadian National Van Lines. I was very concerned about the many warnings that I read about the moving industry in general. It took me weeks to make a decision as it was a large move to another province. If you are in the process of choosing I will save you time. This is an excellent company!!

Canadian National VL came today and moved all of our stuff into the trucks. THESE GUYS WERE FANTASTIC!!!!! They worked incredibly hard, were extremely organized, very polite and intelligent, and worked very well as a team. I was incredibly impressed at their skill level and professionalism. I am now feeling very relaxed that my belongings will arrive safely and in great shape as we are currently in the process of searching for a new home. They actually exceeded my expectations!! If I ever have to move again I would hire them in a second.

I was looking for a moving company to move some of my late father’s items from his home to my home. They were very important to me and I wanted to ensure they arrived safely. I chose Canadian National to me them and they did not disappoint. My moving agent Abigail was extremely helpful and very quick with their emails back to me. When the guys arrived, they used special blankets to wrap the pieces in and made sure they were wrapped good and tight. Everything arrived in great condition. I was very happy with the customer service. They were always easy to reach and nice to deal with – very down to earth people. The quote was good and we didn’t have much of a surprise at the end. The weight came to the same as estimate and the extra 1 month storage is the only thing we had to add extra. At delivery the guys had to climb a hill unfortunately and we had to pull in the neighbour’s tractor to help – but the guys (marco and johhny) were patient and even in the cold day that it was pretty understanding. There were extra charges for this service but I called the head office and they were able to bring some of the fees down because the neighbour’s tractor could be used. All in all I would not hesitate to use them again.

Many, many thanks to Abigail and Hanna who were so caring and truly amazing. I couldn’t say enough good things about this company. They treat you like a person and not just a number. Moved with my girlfriend from Winnipeg – Burnaby area. I couldn’t have been happier. They were on time and when the stuff came a bit earlier they stored it for us. I also got a booking discount which was neat.

It was hard for me to choose a moving company at first. Canadian National was recommended to us through a friend that did a move with them in July and was also very happy. We had our items picked up in Vancouver and the stuff went to storage for a few months. Once we were ready we had to contact the local dispatch and had the items scheduled for delivery. We didn’t have to wait long for out items once we were ready to accept them. Abigail and Hanna were the 2 main people that I deal with. The crew was amazing in BC – Joe and Sonny were amazing and so welcome. At the delivery time the crew was large (3-4 guys) and it went very quickly. They were in an out.
They did end up forgetting one table base but I spoke to the delivery driver and he promised to follow up. He called me first thing next morning and it was dropped off the next afternoon. He even set it up for me for no extra charge for forgetting it the day before.
The quote was very reasonable and we paid very close to the original quote + taxes which I was very impressed with. I am definitely recommending them to anyone. We have now have 2 family members who were happy with the service.

Hello all who is planning to use a moving service of Canadian National Van Lines.
I strongly DO NOT recommend you to use this company as movers, and can prove that they are
the worst moving company I have ever used.

Recently this company moved my furniture and other personal belongings from BC on August 19, 2017 to Ottawa on September 3, 2017.
I received in Ottawa practically all my furniture destroyed or damaged, some furniture was missing(stolen), and many valuable cloths, boots and shoes also were stolen from the suitcases.
So, I paid for this service $5,300 instead of $4,000 promised and damages and stolen items for $15,000.
On my complaint, they offered e $78 settlement. So, I am going to court to fight with this company.

STAY AWAY from this company!!!!

We just used Canadian National Van Line for our move from Edmonton to GTA (Vaughan) area. We were impressed with the service over all and the staff was very courteous. The stuff arrived ahead of schedule which was a pleasant surprise and the charges were just like the quote. The offered a minimum fee to us and we accepted. We added packing fees and moved an extra item which required handling, but other than that everything went as planned.
When we accepted delivery (this past Monday) we were pleased to see that the crew was nice and courteous and called us before coming. They arrived on time and placed runners on our brand new floors.
There was a minor damage to our boxes of books as we noticed that it ripped but I don’t see much of other damages. Compared to other crooks in the industry now I am happy to report that everything went well and without any delays as those were a huge concern to us.

Very impressed with the loading crew. If it wasnt for them i am not sure how our very large would arrive. When the crew arrived they did inform us that we had much more. Without hesitation the 53 ft trailer arrived and they started loading it like a tetris. Great work from all of loading crew - we couldn't be happier.
I mostly dealt with Hanna and when the movers brought the bigger truck she called me and explained that it would be more. We went through everything and she was very kind. I did not want to be surprised with unexpected charges and they were very open to communication. This is one of the reason why we even chose them. Very responsive both by phone and email and they are not scared to put their promises in writing. I have moved over 13 years during the course of my career and most of the moves were organized by my employer but this was our retirement move. My wife and I were very organized and wanted everything in writing. No matter what they offered she confirmed in writing.
The quote and the actual price was different by $382.00 due to the packing service they performed. I was very impressed with the quote and the service. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. But truth be told i really dont want to move again.
