Portuguese cuisine is closely related to it's rich and complex history that is dominated by sea exploration. The wide variety of seafood matched with the spices and exotic fruit brought over from the East provide the basis for the very old recipes found in Portuguese cuisine. At Adega (meaning wine cellar), we have taken some of these old recipes and cooking techniques and matched them with modern flavours and other complimentary styles of cuisine. Some dishes need no refining at all and are served in their authentic form. Our specialty is seafood and we source it from all over the world: fresh fish from Portugal & Azores Islands, Canadian Maritime Lobster, Norwegian Cod, Tunisian Octopus, Thai Tiger Shrimp, etc. Our daily featured items include fine meats such as Rack of Lamb, Veal Chop and Beef Tenderloin grilled with mediterranean marinades and spices.
