Alberto B. Vasquez, M.D.

Alberto B. Vasquez, M.D. in St. Petersburg, Florida, combines clinical services and expertise with state-of-the-art therapies. Alberto B. Vasquez, M.D. is a double Board Certified Neurologist, specializing in neuromuscular diseases, neurophysiology, and general neurology. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Vasquez has been formally trained and has extensive experience in the applications of botulinum toxin (BOTOX) for migraine headaches, dystonias, facial spasms, and post stroke spasticity. He also has a particular interest in neuromuscular diseases including Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Vasquez received his medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. He completed his medical and neurology training along with specializations at the Marshall University and Medical College of Virginia. Early after his residency, fellowship and training he became a faculty member at both MCV and USF. After which time Dr. Vasquez began practicing medicine in St. Petersburg and has so for 23 years. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Association of Electrodiagnostic & Neuromusclular Medicine. He is also on staff at Bayfront Medical Center. Additionally Dr. Vasquez is partnered with Suncoast Neuroscience Associates for research and clinical trials in the field of neurosciences. He is a Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). He is also partnered with Central Neurology Sleep Disorders Center. On his free time Dr. Vasquez enjoys time with his family, fitness and music.
