Alliance Van Lines are the most fraudulent company to do business with. DO NOT PATRONIZE THEM. This company will steal from you and become unresponsive to your request. Their service has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Little wonder when the movers arrive, they collect their complete pay before they open the van to start offloading because they know that they would not be responsible for anything that happens.
I employed their services in July and they delivered incomplete double bunk bed frames for my 2 kids (4 pcs headboardsand 4 pcs legboard). As I type this, they have refused to reply my emails and the contact person who is Nelly is not willing to take my calls or even return it. On their part, they do not have the courtesy to send you e mails to keep you informed on the situations of things. If i dont send an email begging for an update they will keep you in the dark. I regret doing business with them and like I sent in my email, I am a new immigrant trying to find my feet here and your company cannot cheat me and remain in business so as to continue to cheat others.
My kids currently sleep on the floor because of this incompetent company! I repeat DO NOT PATRONIZE THEM or have the thought of doing business with them. If there was a zero review that Is what I would have put here. Zero company.

Remember this name and tell your friends to never use this company if they are planning a move in the near future. Please pass this message on to as many people as possible. Thanks in advance. I have moved a couple of times and never had a problem with the moving company or damage done to my belongings.
We recently moved from Oshawa to Deep River Ontario, north of Petawawa. Here is my experience.
We first had a problem with communications with the moving coordinator. It took message after message and list of content after list to figure out the weight. It jumped from 5,000 to over 7,500 lbs from the same list. They assure you all your furniture is wrapped. I have moved before and it was always covered in moving blankets. So you assume this company will also. Well they covered most of it with bubble wrap...then charge us $150 for the wrap. Yet their ad states : " No additional Costs " . We had to put it in storage for a short term.
We move.....excited to move into a brand newly constructed apartment building...everything is new ! !
The truck arrives and the driver tells us the paperwork shows this is a move into a house. He now says they will bill you extra because it's an apartment. The charge is 5 cents a pound...an addition $ 375.00, because someone marked the delivery to a house. We told them it was an apartment.
The movers proceed to move our belongings. They scuffed walls marked baseboards and door frames. We started to unpack the bubble wrap because they don't do that. We could see damage through the wrap. We had holes punched through a new tv stand, corners broken of tables, pictures that were well wrapped by us scratched when we took them out of the box, the frames were scuffed, all 4 edges of the dining room table looked like it had been dragged across a concrete floor, the finish was off, the bedroom furniture had gouges and the finish removed in spots, the covers on our outdoor furniture was torn and tire marks embedded in it, and the list goes on.
I assumed the moving company would be covered for liability, but NO !!
I would guesstimate damages over $1,000. They are now claiming we didn't take out insurance which was our responsibility so they are not responsible. They offered us $40 for damages. It's covered under your home insurance if you want to pay the $500 deductible ! !

Run as fast as you can away from this company. July 28 I got a quote for a move from Windsor to Edmonton for $2160 with a pick up date Aug 28. I thought the quote was low and asked if I could be present when the truck was weighted. Answer was no. Aug. 10 move went up to $2730, then increased again to $7001. I submitted practically identical itemized list, but for some reason, they could not comprehend that I had 10 x 10 locker full of boxes and a three bedroom home partially furnished. They were given a list of the contents in the locker and house. Then they change my pick-up to Aug. 31. They were well aware my closing date was Aug. 30. Aug. 30,one day before the move I’m sent another quote of $11,155. They provided me with an itemized list which included things that I don’t even own. I don’t know how a quote goes from $2160 to $11,555. They have a policy even if your weight is under the quote, you pay the quote. The finally of this nightmare I had to phone for a time for pick and was told between 3 - 7. 6:30 pm that day they phone and cancelled stating the earliest they can be there is Sept. 2. They just left me in this mess esp. when I should have been out Aug.28. I don’t know how this company remains open.

Alliance lost many of my items during my move. I understand the this can happen, but considering that I received another customer's items in my move and sent more than five emails over five months regarding them, I have no confidence that they do any work to return lost items. Sheila, whoever you are, wherever you are, I have your dishes from your August 2022 move and will keep them for another month.

Worst service ever once the sales rep Nelly got my deposit she stopped responding. Dispatch was garbage received the call once they were at my storage unit and not 30 minutes before as promised. Was not advised of the 3% fee charged for paying with credit card until day before delivery and then the driver charged 400 because they arrived after the gates were locked as dispatched failed to disclose all information to them. If i could give negative 5 as a rating i would. All my boxes were damaged even those clearly marked fragile. All my plastic bins were destroyed and only held together by the tape that they were wrapped in. I pray for future customers sake the business goes up in flames

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY PERIOD.

if you have a phone call with them, immediately send them an email with everything you said to the tee. Leave a paper trail always.

We did a long distance move with this company, we agreed to have them hold our items on the other side while we traveled cross province later that week.

Month goes by when the move happens, they confirm the stuff is enroute. They back out of their arrangement with holding our items on the other side and threaten to leave our items on the side of the road because it's not their problem we never asked them to hold our items for us.

All in all, we were extorted 1,500$ from this company. The manager N. Is heartless. Can't take accountability for their employees and refused to accept responsibility.

Be careful or you will be fooled.

If you want predictability and peace of mind with your moving needs, please DO NOT USE this business. 80% of my items of my cross country move were either smashed or materially damaged. I used to be a mover and am really sad about how my items were treated. One item was an antique teak credenza that was put on it end on the bed of the truck with not blanket or cardboard protecting it which resulted is in the item being scratched up the door and drawer braking and the frame falling apart. This item was the reason for the shipment and it great shape beforehand.
In addition to the careless handing of my items, they also quoted me the shipping cost and then when the COD delivery came, it was 50% more at my door step. They also charged me for services that were not provided: long stair carry when I have 4 stairs at the receiving location.
Their claims department continues to not take responsibility or even acknowledge any mistake made. Please do not use this business, there are many other company that will treat your items with care for a reasonable price.

ZERO STARS! Stay away from this company!!

It was the worst service I have ever experienced. The movers DELIBERATELY damaged ALL MY BOXES and furniture- causing thousands of dollars of damage. They told me it was because I packed the boxes not full and not wrap my things. Everything was well tagged, wrapped and packed. They never explained that a move from Edmonton to Québec would imply that my shipment will be handled 4 TIMES (4 trucks!). The lost 2 boxes (it's been a year and never found them). The movers damaged a wall, very late, wanted extra money to load snow blower (even though it was already in my quote). The broke my bbq and stains on mattress all the boxes and dishes broken. On a move that cost me 2500$, the only refunded 30$.. Are they kidding- the damage was worth more than that. Awful movers but sort of nice folks on the customer client side of things. But they 30$... was a joke- for all the trouble I went through. Would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! So happy I am not moving anymore… ouf, what a stressful ordeal!

The worst moving experience I've ever experience in my life and I have moved across different cities in Ontario and to another country and back to Canada. This move was from Quebec to Ontario. My things were damaged with no valid explanation, the movers were incredibly unprofessional and the correspondent for my follow up claim to damages has gaslighted my experience. I had to follow up on my claim as they did not contact me after the 8-10 week window they give for processing claims. DO NOT use this company for your move, everything that can go wrong will go wrong and they will offer you $40 to settle their incompetence and mistakes. Book elsewhere so you don't have to deal with the stress of the move months afterwards.

Late - Rude - Up charged me - held my belongings hostage - told me no care for my items without "taking care of them" - No Masks used during covid - worst experience of my life. -- Quote was no where near actual charge -- So much damage to my belongings -- Truck housed someone else's items, even though I paid for my truck not a shared truck. there's more but its exhausting to mention.

Worst moving company EVER! Threatened us until we paid them "a BIG tip" in B.C. to take our stuff. Then took a month to receive our stuff in N.S. Held our stuff hostage on the truck until we e-transferred the driver $300 cash to his personal account or he would not take our stuff off the truck. Got our furniture inside our apartment and our sofa and arm chairs which are beige had the movers plastic covering ripped off in spots with tears and grease over them. The furniture is ruined. Had water damage and stinks. The boxes were wet and damaged. They had my bf's work pc that had a special case over it with wheels on it upside down and slammed in down with the wheels up. We paid extra to have our tv boxed and his work monitor boxed and they didn't have boxes for the items and threw them in with our other things. The monitor had diving weights on top of it when it arrived. Thankfully it was working fine after that. They broke every single one of his models that were in special boxes that we padded and then put into another big box. After all this I sent pictures and claim form for the furniture only because they will not insure boxes that you pack yourself. After over two months of waiting for the claims manager to get back to me she told me that they do not cover "dirt or grease". She said absolutely nothing about the rips in the furniture. NEVER USE THIS COMAPNY OF SCAM ARTISTS. They will not cover any damage at all and ripped us off from point one. Zero accountability and will give us zero for any damage that they did.

At first when I hired alliance, they did an excellent job communicating offering pickup/delivery dates. When the movers finally came to pick things up, they were kind and courteous. However, that's when everything went downhill. I moved from Moose jaw, Saskatchewan to Vancouver, British Columbia. I left about two days after the movers did. I waited about 2 1/2 weeks waiting for the delivery truck to come. Finally I gave up and I called them. They informed me I owed them more money; I never received an email and I never would have known unless I would've called them. They then told me to contact dispatch to organize a date.

Finally, when my things came the two gentlemen, who were delivering my things had the boxes flipped on their sides on their trolley. I was absolutely horrified that all of these boxes were being either dropped or flipped on their side. When I opened them I found tons of damage. I am heartbroken. A lot of these items are heirlooms from my mother who passed away.

When I contacted alliance, I had to follow up several times just to get any sort of insurance information. In the end. I got $35 for hundreds of dollars of damage. I was never informed about different coverages during my entire experience with alliance; the only time I ever was informed of anything was when I signed the paperwork when they picked up my things in Moose Jaw, when my things were already in the truck.

I hired a moving company because I am not experienced with long distance moves and would hope that 'professionals' would have helped me more.

Not only am I out the money of the initial moving cost, but damages/loss of my property.

I even had three boxes of things that weren't even mine delivered. When I informed alliance, they again said dispatch would get in touch. This was back in June, and it is now December, 2023.

It is a sad combination of 'buyer beware' and abuse of their clients.

One star because they did manage to get my things here, unfortunately most of it wasn't salvageable or repairable.

Please consider a different moving company; learn from my mistakes. I took
the gamble ignoring the bad reviews- it bit me big time.

This was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had. I hate to leave a bad review but when you are moving, which is already a stressful situation, I would recommend choosing a different company as this one just added to our stress. They seemed incredibly unorganized. The movers themselves were fine, and all our stuff got here fine, so for that I am grateful. But other than that, the people that I communicated with to arrange and contract the move, pick up and delivery seemed to be overworked or just a lack of resources to keep communication straight.

BOTTOM LINE: Don't use this company. They charged my senior mother out of nowhere. They demanded it be paid before they'd unload (extra fees for unloading) and then charged storage fees when we didn't pay immediately. We're putting a complaint in to the federal government for their business practices. I think they're criminal. Also they ran over the neighbours lawn and broke every second box they moved.

We paid over 2600 for the privilege of their terribleness.

We arranged a move from ontario to alberta, pick up was good but they overcharged us by saying that we have more items than listed while infact the extra items were part of the same items such as sofa disassembled and wasnt count as 1 piece. When we received the stuff in alberta tables were dented also sofa was damaged. Dinning table chair leg broken. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Excellent service from Alliance. From the initial correspondence with my rep (Nelly Dales) to the amazing team who loaded and offloaded at delivery, it was a great experience. The company is very responsive and even when they couldn’t reach me (I was on a train heading to Montreal) to confirm delivery, they emailed me and texted me times of delivery, so I was informed when I got there at night. The crew was kind enough to call me in the morning and they were cheerful and great to deal with. I knew that we had massive stairs to take in Montreal so they were eager to start the delivery earlier to avoid rush hour morning traffic. The quote process was great as well. I filled out a form, they sent me a quote, once the pick up happened, sent me an invoice and I was able to pay it in time for my delivery. I was happy to hear that email transfer was a form of payment they accepted as well. one of the other van lines wouldn’t accept this form and since this was an overnight delivery, this was my only payment form that I could offer. I will use them again for my move back. Very responsive.

Alliance were the best movers I came across so far. The customer service was really great, they addressed all of my concerns and provided tips on how to get organised for my move. The movers were also great. Strong, pleasant guys, were really careful and made sure that the stuff goes to the rooms it was supposed to go. They had a great attitude and were the most polite and caring guys. I was happy with the customer service part as well as Nelly took the time to review what I was moving and give me a quote and never rushed me. Gave me great feedback and suggestions. I didn’t feel pressured at all. We moved from Regina to Surrey. Our friends moved with Alliance last year so we were happy to choose them as well. Definitely recommend these guys. The quality/price ratio surprisingly good and satisfying.

I would completely recommend Alliance Van Lines to anybody doing a cross-country move. The driver for this move was Marco, and he had 2 helpers for the pick-up and they were so polite. Initially I had planned on renting or purchasing a trailer to move everything myself, but am so relieved that I found a company that was so affordable (not to mention meticulous) with my smaller load of about 2200lbs. I needed it moved from a small town in BC (Creston, BC) to Montreal without being able to be on the receiving end when the goods arrived at the storage unit. They were incredibly thorough in itemizing everything I was shipping and once I arrived in BC I couldn't believe how organized the storage unit was. I am completely impressed with the quality of service and would recommend them to anyone moving.

Many thanks for a nice move! Nelly was great to deal with and I had a good experience. We moved from Saskatoon, SK to Toronto (office move). Accepted delivery February 18th and I was happy with the service. Quote was great, the process was easy. They sent me a form to fill out so that I could get a better quote and after I did that, I got my price. I booked the service and my actual final price was the same as the quote. Very pleasantly surprised. Everything arrived intact and some items were even set up for us at delivery end. Great Service! Wouldn't hesitate to contact Alliance Again.

We moved from Halifax to North York. The Alliance Van Lines team was outstanding. The moving team lead by Ahmed were excellent, professional, courteous and very caring with our belongings. Moving at best is not an easy experience. This team made it pleasant with their very professional approach - wrap up all items to ensure no damage, etc.
I would highly recommend alliance van lines to anyone who wants to have a smooth professional move with no items lost or broken. I was working with Nelly and she was very responsive, even during the shutdown and the pandemic craziness. I was really worried about the cost so I took my time filling out the forms before I paid my deposit and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the only thing that was extra were the province taxes! Great Job.

Easiest move we have ever had (and we have moved more than 20 times in 6 different countries)! Alliance Van Lines didn’t just move our boxes and furniture but took extra care to move our family. They made sure our sons most treasured belongings went in last and came out first. The booking agent Nelly was helpful, accommodating, and explained everything. The price was reasonable and the movers were careful, quick, and hard working. It was the hottest day of the summer and yet they remained positive, helpful and with great attitudes. They took extra care to protect our belongings and were highly efficient and professional. I hope we don’t move again but if we did we would definitely use Alliance VL.

Here is a realistic review from a person actually having to deal with this GOD AWFUL company.

First and foremost STAY AWAY. DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO COME ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR HOME.

They will give you a quote that seems pretty reasonable and lower than the other companies (do not listen to them and pay a few hundred more to go with someone else)

Once you agree to choose them (big mistake) they will start off askijg for an $800 deductible. Then they will tell you it will be $0.50 a lb afterwards but they will weigh it once it gets to their warehouse and you'll pay the remainder when it gets to your final destination.

Their quote for a 1 bedroom apartment will be around $1500. What they won't tell you is that there is a minimum weight they will charge you, so if you have less youre still paying out the ass for their service as they will only change the price IF you have a heavier load and they can get away with charging you more.

They will show up, act like they care about your belongings and pretend they will handle with care but what they will really do is throw your belongings around and in my case possible step on some things. They will pick up another load and throw that in there completely destroying everything you own.

They will tell you it will take 3 weeks to get to the final destination, that will be a lie, you will have nothing for over a month. Then when they finally arrive items will be broken and lost and they will just tell you it can be fixed and leave.

When you check everything and tell them how much they damaged you will fill out a form, it will take 12 weeks for then to even respond and after another phonecall you'll receive an email stating that although they destroyed almost $400 worth of items they will reimburse you $50. So not only did you spend $2300 to have this company move you from 1 province to another you're now spending the money to replace the missing and damaged items and they are getting away with being disrespectful and destroying property for $50.

How the hell this company is even still in business is beyond me. They are rude and careless and obviously do not understand the concept of customer service nor care about you or your belongings as they treat everything like it is worthless.

Seriously, go with ANYONE ELSE. These guys are garbage.

I STRONGLY encourage people to stay AWAY from this company. They will hike up prices by $700, charge hidden fees, use dishonest weights, and they will keep your belongings hostage to coerce you into paying more.
