John Wakelin has over 30 years of legal experience. He worked at one of Canada's largest national law firms, and spent over 20 years as an insurance defence lawyer for one of the most well respected litigation firms in Toronto. Nearly a decade ago John founded Wakelin & Associates to help also serve plaintiffs. He has conducted arbitrations before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and has argued both jury and non-jury trials with success before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. He is also experienced in appellate work, with appearances before the Ontario Court of Appeal and Divisional Court. John has a B.A. from Western, did graduate work at York University and graduated from Queen's law school in 1993 where he won the David Sabbath academic prize. In 2000 John ran for Member of Parliament for the Parliament of Canada and he remains active in politics, writing and vlogging.
