The worst customer service possible. We had a leak in the basement when water built up on the back basement window. The grading was running into the house and no window well was installed. An employee from ThomasField came into the house to vacuum the water. He cut the vapor barrier in the basement to let the water escape from behind the plastic, at which point he packed up and left. Numerous phone calls and emails for sent to ThomasField to have a follow up to see when the vapour barrier would be replaced and the mud on the floor to be cleaned up. I was told that this is not a warranty issue because it was an "Act of God". My wife and I contacted Tarion Warranty, which was other joke, they did absolutely nothing besides take the builders side. Now we have exposed insulation in the basement that the builder cut open and now refused to replace and mud all over the floor and all ThomasField can tell us is "contact your insurance company"...the house is 5 months old.

Second owner of thomasfield pineRidge home on Bright Lane.
Discovered vent hole for bath had been shingled over with no cap installed. Called service manager. No interest in participating in repair.
Sad.

Thomasfield homes look good superficially because they use quality materials and their homes have well designed layouts. Their downfall are the contractors who are working for Thomasfield and their customer service. Work is done far too quickly in order to meet closing dates leaving quality control of little great concern to this builder. Issues like unlevel floors, eavestroughs cut too short and property grading directing water flow toward your home are only a few to mention that have affected us. Some issues eventually get resolved but the company attempst to intimidate you into fixing things yourself. Some residents that have lived in their home for close to 2 years can not yet attain building permits for fences and decks as a result of Thomasfield not receiving certification for final inspections on the land. At the time of purchase, you choose your lot from an artist's conception of the development. This drawing gives no indication of the true location of the lot, it's measurements, what affects the surrounding land is on your property or what is included with that lot. Having chosen our lot in mid winter with 4 feet of snow on the ground, no property markers were visible. Once the foundation was dug, we found that there was an island on the street that ended directly in the middle of our driveway with a road sign at the end. Months later, we found out a fence was going to be erected 4 feet from our property line leaving us one foot clearance to get passed the air conditioner on a 45 degree slope to the back yard. With only 2 feet of clearance on the other side of the house, we soon realized there would be no possible way to move a wheel barrow or a lawn mower from the front yard to the back yard. After weeks of debate with both Thomasfield and the township, we have been told that no gates will be allowed in the fence at this time. And to think we paid a $12,000.00 premium for this lot in order to have a basement walk out so that we could move furniture and drywall into the basement with ease. What a waste of money that was. No I wouldn't recommend buying a Thomasfield home unless you're a sadist.

I give them 4 stars. Built two homes with them in Hopwell Heights. Was there at least once a week to watch the progression and catch any mistakes. Don't count on them to catch all mistakes their contractors make. It's your home, take the responsibility. Any problems I had, they corrected. Would definitely trust them again to build my home. Unfortunately, I'm no longer in an area they build. Too bad as I miss their open concept style.

I would always bring coffee and donuts to the build site for the contractors building my home. As a result, I had zero construction quality issues. But that's just me.

learning after 10 years that the house was built poorly. 10 years in and entire roof needs replaced including the sheeting because it was never done to code. Both skylights leaked within 3 years, insulation not to code, structural issues have caused our stairs to need replacing / restructuring (not built to code), electrical problems, window leaks, windows cracking in master bedroom, foundation problems. We paid for "extras" such as floors to be screwed down during buildonly to find that not a single screw went into the subfloors (discovered this when we replaced the carpeting and were wondering why the carpet and the tile floor was so squeeky. Furnace issues - the list goes on. These complaints are shared with most of the home owners on my street. Just visit a home in the Pineridge area and ask the owner how they feel about the things I mentioned. I give it a half star only because it looked good for about a year - just enough time for the home warranty to expire
