Terrible service and food was not worth it.
It was really empty on a Saturday night, maybe 3 or 4 tables in the entire restaurant at 7:30pm.
Waiter tried to be pleasant but it felt like he wanted to rush the service and go home. We asked him at 8:15pm what time they closed and he said kitchen closes at 9pm. He kept spilling our bottled sparkling water all over the table (dumping the entire bottle into a glass and seemed to be rushing even though there were no other tables to serve). He brought 5 or 6 bottles of sparkling water and just kept pouring and spilling it.
We ordered 2 of the grilled octopus but they gave more squid than octopus. Better to buy it at Costco and make it myself. The donut dessert was terrible. It did not look anything like the other reviews. All the donut pieces were on one side of the plate like someone didn't balance the plate properly. I didn't take a photo as it looked terrible!
I had been here a few times before but this may be my last as the service definitely went downhill and the food- definitely not worth it anymore. Our bill was $1100 but just felt it wasn't quite worth it. This was a pre-birthday celebrate for me but I felt disappointed. Looking forward to where we are going on my real birthday where I will post another review.

A pretty solid spot in the financial district. We ordered steak, a few appetizers, crab meat tacos, and sea bass—everything was fresh and well-prepared. The outdoor seating is a big plus when summer’s here. Prices are on the higher side, but overall it’s a nice experience.

Bymark Toronto – A Little Oasis in the Heart of the Financial District 🌿

I had bookmarked Bymark for a while now after seeing it pop up on an influencer’s IG reel, and finally made it there for a summer lunch — and let me just say, the location does not disappoint. Beautifully tucked between the towering TD buildings, the patio feels like a calm little escape in the middle of the concrete jungle.

We got a lovely spot right by the flowers, which really added to the vibe. While I was waiting for my friend (thanks to the eternal downtown parking struggle), I did feel some subtle pressure from the staff — those lingering looks and the “when will your guest arrive” energy was slightly uncomfortable.

But once we settled in, the food more than made up for it. I ordered their garden salad paired with a glass of Prosecco Rosé — such a refreshing combo for a summer afternoon. The freshly baked focaccia was warm and fluffy, and my friend’s seared yellowfin tuna was perfectly done and full of flavour.

That said, there was one downside — the service felt a bit too eager. Multiple check-ins asking if we were “still working on that” or if they could clear our plates began to feel a little intrusive, especially since the patio wasn’t full and the place stays open well into the evening. A more relaxed pace would have matched the serene setting better.

One suggestion — it would be great to see a few more vegan options on the menu. Right now, there are maybe two or three at best.

Would I return? Absolutely. For that unbeatable downtown summer vibe alone, I’d come back — maybe next time for cocktails at golden hour 🌇.

Even with the nice location and ambiance, the food doesn’t justify the price.
The shrimp pasta and the green salad was good but the meatball pasta was way too salty and the wagyu dumpling was very disappointing. Any frozen dumpling from tnt would taste better. The service was okay, though it could have been a bit more attentive.

Tried its celebrated burger and was disappointed..! Very greasy ….I could not even finish it. Good service and ambience.

This multi level venue offers a dynamic experience; the Bar Lounge features a lively atmosphere with happy hour specials, handcrafted drinks, and a live DJ while the Main Dining Room provides a more refined dining experience. Every dish was impressive, but standout recommendations include the Wagyu dumplings, truffle fries, and freshly shucked oysters.

Has a very business centric vibe. A number of larger groups, plus very reflective surfaces made it a bit loud for our taste. Not a quiet romantic candlelight type place.

They got unexpectedly busy because of a rain storm, but adjusted. The bar may be two floors up, not ideal for the servers if true. My cocktail, did not come until after the apps were served, but was still excellent.

The tuna tartar was excellent. The steak tartar was good but did not need the bone marrow, and lacked acid. The chips that came with the steak tartar were not as crisp as they should have been, not surprising given the really hot and humid weather.

Entrees were outstanding. The tenderloin with bone marrow was very unique in presentation and perfectly cooked. The veal schnitzel was crisp and delicious but needed a lemon wedge again for more acid) which they gladly brought. Seasoning was gentle, nothing over-salted.

Dessert and espressos were amazing. Best riff on donuts ever.

So all in all got better and better over the meal which is rare.

Cam here for a work function dinner. It provided good food, nice ambiance, and is easily accessible from the PATH system. Service a bit slow.

Our group of 14 had an absolutely amazing birthday celebration dinner last night! We were booked in a private room and Tyler was our primary server. Tyler was absolutely wicked, super fun and professional, and took amazing care of our entire dinner experience. Everything we ordered was top notch! Our drinks were never empty, we never had to ask for water refills, everything that we needed was anticipated well before anyone had to ask. The appetizers like the shrimp tacos and the beef dumplings were out of this world! Everyone loved the main meal that they ordered. Would definitely go back to this restaurant 1000% well worth the money, food quality and taste. Thank you for an amazing evening!

Delicious! We sat on the patio, whuch was lovely and felt more COVID-safe. My picky teenage son loved the beef dumplings with hoisin and I got the half grilled chicken with polenta and mushroom ragu. YUM. My only complaint would be that I wish there had been more polenta (small portion, and so delicious). Our waiter (I believe he had an Irish accent) took great care of
us. Delicious meal, beautiful setting, glad we went!
