My friends and I went here during the early of June this year and I forgot to review, so sorry!!

I really like the interior and the vibe of this diner but, it’s a little small so you gotta make sure that you go during a time that isn’t very busy. My friends and I didn’t have to wait because it wasn’t very busy that day, we’re just a group of lucky duckies!

I really liked my food. I have a bit of a weird order because I don’t really like toppings on my steak sandwiches so, it’s basically steak and break. But, I’m sure for the people that enjoy the toppings will still like it. But the steak was really the show-stopper for me. It tasted really good! The fries… oh my days. So totally awesome

My friends shared the poutine which they weren’t that fond of because of the mustard and pickles but the thing is… they read the name and thought it sounded cool and didn’t read the ingredients. Haha, silly them.

Had a great time, will probably come back again!

I had my first visit yesterday at Donlands Diner in East York for brunch and it was honestly such an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon with fries, and my partner ordered a BLT with fries. Everything came out fast, fresh, and tasted incredible.
The waitress Tina was such an amazing hostess — so kind, friendly, and welcoming. She made us feel like family from the moment we walked in and talked to us like we had known each other for years. The whole experience felt so warm and genuine.
The diner has such a beautiful vibe with 50s and 60s themed music playing, which made the atmosphere even more special. Service was seamless from start to finish and we left super happy. Definitely one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had and I’ll absolutely be coming back!

I went there today for the first time with my daughter and my niece. The server was Rafaeli Her, who was absolutely outstanding, extremely friendly, so bubbly and pleasant. We love the place and we Are making plans to make it our traditional go to. We will make so many awesome family memories there

Finally had a chance to try out this diner. The service was excellent! The young lady who served us was super friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. We came on a Friday night close to closing, so it wasn’t terribly busy. The place was clean, bright, and fairly spacious. The menu offered classic diner type options. The breakfast burger was excellent. It was juicy and flavorful. The corned beef Benny was also really good. You get three poached eggs on two toasted English muffins along with the corned beef. Home-style fries were also quite good. The French onion soup was tasty and not too salty. Not five star restaurant standards but pretty good considering this is a local diner. The Reuben sandwich was also tasty and juicy. The hamburger steak was the only dish that didn’t live up to the hype. The burger steak itself was overcooked and dry. The gravy that accompanied it was on the saltier side and the mashed potatoes tasted bland. I suppose you could just mix the gravy with the mashed potatoes to try and balance out the flavors.
Aside from the one dish that wasn’t that great, everything else was enjoyable. We will definitely come back and try some of their other dishes.

Perfect score! no wonder this place has been open for 47 years!! Service by Sharron was excellent, all eggs were cooked perfectly, home fries were on point, coffee was brewed fresh and refilled when needed. The diner was meticulously clean and it looks like the renovation had just taken place but it actually happened seven years ago. Very decently priced (the Benedict came with three eggs!) Vegan & veg options, yay! Bravo to all staff & management!

70 years strong! This place is a Toronto eastend gem. A must try for any breakfast loving Torontonians. The sizzler plates are the best I've ever had. Cozy, clean vintage environment with friendly and efficient service cooking up old school comfort food.

We went there for our 46 anniversary dinner as my partner wanted the liver and onions (no pic), with mashed potatoes.

I had the banquet burger, fully loaded and it was great! cooked to perfection and very flavourful. I had the home fries because I'm not a fan of coated French fries. Our waitress was perfect and honest. Ask for Shie, as in Cheyenne.

A beautiful old decor and and convenient parking. Check it out.

Great little classic greasy spoon diner. The benedicts are great as they give you 3 eggs. Steak was actually well cooked (unusual for a brunch spot) and fairly tasty. The layout is a treat, with murals and homages to the great 50s and 60s and fairly roomy. Great atmosphere, easy orders and plenty of selection make for an overall solid spot.

Full house when we arrived but wait times weren’t bad (~15-20 min)!

Wait staff were great! Friendly and attentive to coffee top ups.

Ordered the skillet (scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, sautéed bell peppers and melted cheese on bed of home fries) but didn’t get the toast. Added a side Greek salad for $3.99. My dish could have used a bit more salt for flavour, but table salt fixed it. You might like that it’s barely seasoned if you’re watching salt intake.

Plate was hot! Great presentation.

I went here for an early light lunch and was agreeably surprised. The ambiance is very agreeable in a nostalgic way, and the bowl of turkey and vegetable soup I had with my soft drink was very good.

after a terrible tumble off their pedestal from past owners they have built their clientele back up, breakfast is great, lunch/dinners, burgers, clubhouse, servers good cook finally replaced cook, and burnt toast/home fries gone. servers attentive, god place with w true diner feel.
