Bridal House

My daughter is getting married June 2010. We just wanted to browse and get information on weddings dresses in our area. We were not greeted when we came in the Bridal House. There was a lady moving dresses from one rack to another. I guess we looked like novices (because we are). She asked if we had an appointment which we didn't. Then she asked a few more questions in a condescending manner. We felt like we were treated like children. She told us to have a look at the dresses and pick out a few that we liked and should get us a room in 5 minutes (which lasted 20 minutes). During this time that we were waiting we looked at dresses and were taking some pictures so we could review later and remember what we liked. An older lady came up to us and said "Oh, you cannot take pictures we don't allow that". At that time I put my camera in my purse and said fine (not really understanding the reason but respecting their wishes). Well didn't she act like we were committing a crime? She stood there and stared as we tried to look at dresses. I told her don't worry we aren't taking pictures. Feeling like criminals we decided that this shop was not worth wasting our time in. We left and went to Elmwood Brides, Aurora, ON. Even though the store was crammed full of people we were greeted by everyone as we walked in. We asked a few questions and made an appointment to try dresses on another time. One lady showed us where the dresses were and left us to look. Another lady came in to see how we were doing and "did we find anything we liked". She proceeded to write the numbers down so they would have the dresses ready for our appointment. We asked if we were allowed to take pictures. She said "of course, let me set it up so you get the best look at it". WOW.....night and day. So if you are looking at wedding dresses....DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME AT THE BRIDAL HOUSE IN NEWMARKET, ON.
