In 2012, Dr. Brown became the first surgeon in Mississippi to implant the iStent, representing the latest management of glaucoma. This device is placed in the eye at the time of cataract surgery with no additional incisions or sutures. The optical center caters to patients needing glasses and contacts with a wide selection of frames and lenses. Our certified optician can help you with your specific needs and walk you through the variety of choices. For those patients requiring minor procedures, Dr. Brown utilizes the in-office surgery suite. Removal of stys, skin and lid lesions, eye lid repairs and cancerous skin tumors can be done in the surgical suite with minimal discomfort to the patient. Lacerations to the face, lids and periorbita can be repaired in the office minor surgical suite as well.
