Trust the professionals at Ahab Marines Services who are listed SAMS surveyors and ABYC Certified technicians. We specialize in "corrosion" Surveys, "cargo" surveys and Thermal Imaging Surveys. We also do "condition and value" marine / boat surveys and yacht surveys for pre purchase, insurance, financing and appraisal purposes. Beyond that we are experienced in damage appraisal and probable cause as well as experienced expert witnesses. Turnaround time until the finished survey is mailed to the survey purchaser is usually 7 days after the last inspection, payment is received and agreement signed. All Photos from boat/ yacht survey are included in our report and also provided on disc for your convenience. Only after customer service, continued education is our hallmark. Captain Ed Hatch has been in the boat business for decades. His navigation experience is primarily the East Coast of the United States and its tributaries, but includes offshore time off both coasts and The Great Lakes. His experience with boat types includes wood, fiberglass, reinforced plastic, ferro/concrete, steel and aluminum, both power and sail. Ed has thousands of miles racing, delivering and cruising. He is also a member of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors - AMS #855 (SAMS), and the Chesapeake Area Professional Captains Association (CAPCA), The International Association of Marine Investigators(IAMI), The National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), The American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), The Magothy River Sailing Association (MRSA) and the International Institute of Marine Surveyors (IIMS).
