I bought my first boat 15 years ago from Rob, the Owner of Gilligan's and am now on my fourth boat! Yep, I just keep going back and upgrading! Ha ha ha.

In the beginning, I was one of those do-it-yourself'rs, and thought I would save a buck and winterize it myself. In the spring, the first time I put it in the water it over heated so I called Rob and he said turn it off immediately and bring it in before I did anymore damage. Luckily, thanks to Rob's quick thinking, I only had to replace a few parts instead of an entire engine. All because I was trying to save a buck! Oh, did I mention that I called Gilligan's at a 7 o'clock on a Saturday evening and Rob answered my distress call !!!

Since then I have always taken my boat to Gilligan's and have never ever had any surprises. They never ever try to sell you something you don't need or do any work I didn't authorize. In fact one time Rob even said to me "I would love to take your money but it simply does not need this part!"

Wayne, the General Manager at Gilligan's, has sold me my last three boats and although a little rough around the edges and at times a wee bit too brutally honest or direct, has never ever lied to me or steered me wrong. I totally trust and value Wayne's opinion .

Shuna in Service is a wonderful lady with a bubbly personality. Shuna always calls, emails, or text's me repair estimates and progress reports. I never have any surprises from Shuna.

I highly recommend Gilligan's, their service beats all their competitors!!!

I wish I could leave NO STARS!!!!

I took my boat to Gilligan's and had them do a full winterize and service package in the fall. I was told that all I needed to do in the spring was to put the drainage plug in and go. I started the boat and the leg (drive unit on the back of the boat) was making a terrible sound so I loaded it back up and took it back to Gilligan’s. Their technician assed the problem and said that I had no oil in the leg and it was going to cost me +$4k. After doing some research I found if the leg is not filled with oil properly an air bubble can form causing a false oil level. Gilligan’s did NOT stand behind their service and told me that a seal failed and all the oil drained out in the water or where it was stored over winter. There was no evidence of any oil in my yard or in the water so after I confronted them about the air bubble they told me take my boat and go. I refused to pay for them assessing the problem and taking the leg apart so they loaded all the parts and pieces of the leg in the boat and sent me on my way. Gilligan’s did not stand behind their service and left me with a $4,000.00 bill not including the $400 I paid them to service the boat in the fall. Shame on you!

Our Malibu inboard wouldn't start. The misdiagnosed our Malibu boat saying the fuel pump and starter were broken and needed replacement. Quoted over 1000.00 for repair.

Had private mechanic fix it for us. The starter was tested, working fine. Fuel pump, working fine.
All it needed new roter and cap (parts 40.00) and to wiggle a relay to the starter. Started no problem. Runs beautifully.

called Gilligan's to ask for our $125.00 diagnositc fee back. THey refused to give it and were very rude to us about it. HOw can a business run like this. They clearly have no conscience and are not concerned about doing what is right. I would think twice about considering this boat repair company
