I bought a Dynasty Spa from the dealership here in town, the spa is of decent quality but not quite as good as i was led to believe. I have to say that after the spa was dropped off my experience with Dynasty Spas went downhill fast. It doesn't seem that the dealership or their head office in Red Deer have much knowledge about their products other than selling them. I tried to follow the chemicals that I purchased from them but getting answers or return phone calls proved to be a waste of time. I went next door to Paradise Leisure Products and was very impressed with the service I received considering I did not purchase my spa from them. They told me very quickly that the chemical I was using was simply not enough. The staff went out of their way to explain what I needed to clear up my water and even gave me a discount on the supplies I purchased. You can see very quickly that they are geared up for after sales service because they had everything imaginable in a huge display and they even showed me the service department which my dealership was lacking. I wish I would have bought me spa here.

Out of warranty out of patience!
By: bgerwing1
Absolutely ridiculous! Bought a tub which has been problematic since I bought it...now the warranty is gone...yes, they could not fix it the whole time....now they won't come and fix it since it is out of warranty. It is a. Coyote spa sold by them. It trips the breaker on ground faults very day...more if I leave the back up pump or ozonater plugged in. No attempts be owner to fix...they keep telling me not to get mad at them...they are trying their best.this includes not showing up for service calls, not phoning to set up repairs, not phoning when parts get in sometimes 3 weeks late, not phoning when the programmer is unavailable. In case you are wondering, I have not used the tub for the last 6 months because irbid never hit enough because the breaker is always tripped. DO NOT BUY FROM PARADISE BAY!!!!

Hi Bob, lets get this problem solved once and for all. Your Coyote spa was purchased in Sept 2007 with a 3 year parts warranty and a one year labour warranty. Your service history shows a heater under warranty in Oct 2008 and a pressure switch replaced in November 2010. I see that the service waived the bill for the labor in 2008 and a correct billing for the labor and part in 2010. I see that there were 2 service calls rebooked. I apologize if there has been a disconnect on the service side as far as appointments or parts. I can assure you that we take our customer service very seriously. Please contact the store at 403-640-4011 and ask for general manager and we will fix your spa immediately. We will send the service manager to your house personally and if he determines that these issues are related he will nullify your bill from November. You can also email trevor@paradisehottubs.com with any other details and he will follow up until you are satisfied.
Thank you, Ownership

I have bought many products from Paradise Bay over the years. I have purchased 2 hot tubs, a Treager BBQ, a sauna this winter and have had nothing but professional and courteous service. Chris has always been pleasant to deal with whenever we have had hiccups with our hot tub and has always had repairs done pronto. I just bought am Apollo Spa for our cabin this weekend and was thrilled to see that they now had a hot tub with wacks of jets at an unbeleivabe price. There pricing on chemicals and filters is also extremely good which is why we keep coming back. I will continue to spread the good word to my friends and co workers.

Our experience it that the product, selection, price and service has been world class from Paradise Bay. We bought an Arctic Spa just over a year ago and everything the salesman told us is true. We have not even noticed a difference in our electric bill. We thought we were having and issue with our spa and called the service department, they were out with in days and just had to show us how to make some adjustments on our control center to better operate our salt water system. Love the spa, love the service. We have neighbors that bought from a different company and are kicking themselves everyday because it is costing them a lot to run.

Just thought I would comment on the great experience we have had with Paradise. We have always wanted a hot tub and this was a major purchase for our family. We looked extensively at other stores and other hot tubs. Have to say there is quite a selection and we got quite confused. Our first visit was to Paradise where we looked at an Arctic Spa with Larry that we really liked but we wanted to look around at other hot tubs. There are lots of stores selling hot tubs on Center Street so we looked at Jacuzzi Spas and Dynasty Spas as well. The salesman at Jacuzzi was quite negative and said things we deemed inappropriate about both Paradise and Dynasty which turned us off quite a bit. The Dynasty salesman put alot of pressure for us to buy right away and constantly tried to give us things we did not need like a message chair if we bought today. This kind of pressure turned us off against Dynasty as well. We also went to three other shops that same day and went home to talk about the hot tubs we viewed.

We went back to Paradise the next weekend and dealt with Tory. He was very pleasant and gave us even more information. I have to say that Paradise has an amazing store with lots of selection compared to the other stores we visited. We bought a spa that day and had it delivered the next week. Paradise lined us up with an electrician and showed up on time with our new hot tub. The delivery was exceptional with great help from Bob, they even helped us clear snow and gave us a tutorial on how to operate our hot tub. Before the guys left they surprised us with a gift basket from our salesman and we have been enjoying our spa ever since. We had one issue with the spa but after a quick phone call the service department straighteded things out. We have refered two sets of friends this winter to Paradise and they seem equally pleased. Thanks Larry, Tory and the gang at Paradise for a great experience.

Hey there future Hot tub buyers
I had a paradise tub and i have to let you people know that you should not buy from them, the service is horrible. I had a service problem and i called in and left numerous messages and the owner never called me back. I feel I have to warn buyers about this company and the problems you will go through

I have an Arctic Spa purchased in 2005 with a 10 year PARTS & LABOR warranty. Did my research at the time and liked the better Arctic Spa quality...or so I thought!? Poor jets plastic clips began busting...Paradise indicated that I could pick up new ones, but that I would have to replace them (with no possibility of any spare ones). Of course I have been back twice to get replacement jets upon which both times they were unable to supply the PROPER directional shoulder jets.

Then my cover lifter began to fail...called service who sent out a tech who tried to jimmy the lift and anchor it with three bigger screws resulting in cracking my cedar exterior panel and the fourth screw left laying on the ground (fortunately I found it before my dogs or a child did). Indicated this wasn't sufficient whereby the tech told me he would have to get their Service Department to send someone else out as he didn't have another lifter or the right parts. Left invoice with 'No Charge Warranty' clearly marked. Sooo waiting another 8 weeks with & hearing nothing; I called to find out what was going on. Service dispatch offered their apologies for not booking another tech & said they would send someone out the following week. Now the next tech comes out; works on the lifter for a bit & then says he is just going to replace it as they no longer make my lifter model and he is unable to repair it as he too doesn't have the required parts. Then installs the new unit, marks clearly on the invoice 'No Charge Warranty' and leaves.

Following this I get a call from Service Dispatch telling me that in fact there would be a fee. I reminded them of my warranty. The said the lifter wasn't covered...my how very convenient!

Got a call three weeks later from their accounting department indicating that I owed over $300. I stated that is not what either of MY invoices indicated. I was told that the technician had no right replacing my lifter under warranty!!!
Unbelievable (this is your company's employee) - okay I said then come fix my original lifter left propped up against my garage, along with the discovered 3 SCREW HOLES IN MY VINYL COVER from assembling the new lifter. Their response was okay we can due that, but there would be a charge - FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE!

I was then told that in failing to pay for an invoice that didn't exist yet would result in them damaging my CREDIT...couldn't fathom the nerve of who I was talking to...told him to have the Gm or owner call me. Never heard back from them, but got a computer generated printed invoice about a month later.

Then looked into there BBB record. Very EYE OPENING...dastardly corrupt businesses like this definitely need to be called on the bullshit!

[Oh and my Orca jet failed a few weeks back!]

I hope more people that have been screwed by this company speak up on this forum. The more word gets out on the crooks these guys are the sooner they will be out of business.

Funny thing, I was the one that got them orginally booted from the BBB (now I notice there is two unresolved issues so another one since I got them booted). But, funny thing was when they recently changed their name, their BBB record was no longer listed. I filled out all the information on them with their new name, advised the BBB of who they really were, requested they be relisted and BINGO - they are once again listed and now show their past "two" business names. No more hiding for you Peter!

I am sorry for the hassle you've had and do appreciate you taking the time to speak up.

Hi my name is Trevor and I am an employee of Paradise. I would like it if I could get your contact information in reguards to this issue and who you were dealing with. I will send out one of my staff members that deal with lifting systems on a daily basis and have this problem fixed by the weekend, as for the jets failing. We have switched all our jets to a threaded jet now so there is no popping of jets. Please contact me at 403-640-4011 and I will have someone out to fix this by the weekend.
Thank you for your time
Trevor

Thought it was only fair to comment on here thatas of today Pete did settle with me to my satisfaction. He even went as far as to provide me with a new system that is chemical free and should be way better for my skin. From what I've researched, it looks like a great new product. I won't go into the complete settlement but, I will say that Pete was quite generous.

Purchased a 'Salt Water' system in 2007. Spent $1,300.00 for it. After continous problems and spending countless hours filling and re-filling the tub, purchasing new chemicals, a new one was installed. This one failed immediately. Finally we had the system totally removes, and put back to origional. Again, new chemicals, filters, water (to which I have to truck in by hand).

Now came the real kicker. I attended the store, looking for a refund. That was 5 months ago. I have called.....I have attended the store.....Pete Morisette (owner), I have talked to in person, and left numerous phone messages. He has not ansered one!

It appears after the thousands of dollars I have spent in his store, that now that one little thing has gone wrong.........He runs. Nice!

Can you spell SUE?

Never ever will I step into that store.

I have owned an Summtit Ultra Artcic Spa from Paradise Bay for less than 90 days and the service has been extremely underwhelming.I payed $14,000 for the hot tub, plus $5,000 for a cedar gazebo. Here is the list of problems within first 90 days of ownership: gouges in acryllic from delivery yet to be repaired by service dept., top roof of gazebo blew off because delivery guys failed to attach to sides "that's what you get for hiring summer students" is what service guy told us!, air therapy jets have stopped working, intakes/screws/stainless jets have begun to rust already!

I have called service at least 10 times "we are short staffed". 3 no-shows from service guys, message on their voicemail saying "sorry about the unusual high call volume and short staff", the owner/general manager Pete does not return calls. Overall, very disappointed by buying an Arctic Spa hot tub from Paradise Bay that costs as much as a small vehicle! You are better off saving the mark up and buying from Costco for 1/3 the price - no difference in service between the two. Larry in sales was great, but the service does not maintain the experience.

I will update in 30 days and see what happens.
