Just thought I would warn everyone out there: DON'T USE TIPPET RICHARDSON!!! I thought they were a big, established reliable company. Well....I am in Madrid, Spain and have been living in an empty apartment for two months waiting for my stuff. My e-mails and phone calls go unanswered and I just keep getting excuses for ridiculous delays. After I paid for the shipment to leave Toronto, it was bye bye. The most recent excuse is that the London contractors underestimated the size and so only half of my shipment will arrive next week. I had the stuff sent on December 20th!!! It is completely insane and I have never experienced a more unprofessional and unreliable company. Try eating off plastic plates with no clothes, furniture or anything for two months and you will understand my anger. I just hope the company suffers some loss of business for treating me so badly. Try a different company.
I'm so glad that you wrote the review in N49 as well. I can't beleive that you STILL don't have your stuff. I have no idea how you and your husband are surviving!
Perhaps this person should get his/her facts correct before condemning a company. They moved with T-R Overseas Moving Inc. NOT Tippet-Richardson Ltd (there is no connection between the two) Maybe it's time they removed this false accusation from the site.
Hi James, it is certainly understandable that people are confused with more than one ownership group utilizing the name "Tippet-Richardson". It is an unfortunate result of divisions of a company being sold off, with different ownership groups not maintaining the standards that made Tippet-Richardson one of the top Canadian movers for the past 85+ years. But I do agree before posting reviews it is important to be sure you are reviewing the correct company, both for positive or negative comments. I think if people were to research Tippet-Richardson Ltd. they would find that the company is still very much a quality-focussed and customer-service oriented organization. I am sorry to hear that it sounds as though TR Overseas Moving Inc. does not share the same standards.
