We parked ourselves at the bar and let the pros take over. The bartenders suggested the Spicy Watermelon Margarita… and reader, I never looked back. 🌶🍉

It was bright, refreshing, with just enough heat to say “I have personality.” That chili rim? A supporting actor worthy of awards.

-Tender, juicy prime rib sliders that felt illegal for a Monday
-Bacon-wrapped scallops doing their smoky, buttery thing
-That iconic warm bread with whipped butter (the kind you pretend you’ll just “have a bite” of)

The service was exceptional from start to finish especially Ruth.The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Our steaks were cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. The sides and cocktails were just as impressive.

There is a specific kind of nostalgia that smells like a medium-steak and a loaded baked potato. When I was a kid, The Keg was the definition of "fancy" the place you went when a moment actually mattered.

Even as an adult, that hasn't changed; whether it’s a work celebration or a birthday, it remains the gold standard for a meal that feels like a reward.

I found myself standing outside the Keg Mansion today just taking in the architecture. It is, quite simply, gorgeous a reminder that some things in Toronto still hold their gravity and their beauty.
But beyond the heritage stone and the atmosphere, it’s the consistency that hits. You go for that specific steak, that perfect baked potato, and the feeling of a world that slows down just enough for you to enjoy it. It’s been a part of my memory since I was small, and standing there today, it felt just as vital as it did back then. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a landmark in the story of my life.

The Keg Mansion is in a lively part of Toronto and it’s gorgeous. We are greeted warmly at the entrance and after a short wait we are escorted upstairs to our table. Walking up the stairs reminded me of when I visited decades ago. I love when things are preserved like this, yet modernized. The noise level was moderate for a busy weekend evening yet our table was warm and we had no trouble talking amongst eachother. Food was great and everyone went out of their way to treat my little one special. Great spot - keep up good work! 💚

We had such a great night at The Keg Mansion! The atmosphere is truly unique — the historic building gives it such a special and cozy vibe.

I’ve been to other The Keg locations before, but this was my first time at this one, and I absolutely loved it. The setting feels different and more memorable compared to the other branches.

Our server was very professional, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything felt smooth and well organized.

I have been frequenting the Keg Mansion as one of my best go to steak restaurants for the last 25 years. The food is always great and if they miss a step they eagerly correct it immediately. 18 ounce Prime Rib, massive Rib Steak, huge Baseball Sirloin, mushrooms Neptune, artichoke dip, Cesar salad and Keg sized spicy Cesar topped with Jumanji (celery, beans, pickles, pimento olives and Tabasco). The deserts are great and we usually get Billy Miner ice cream cake with chocolate and caramel drizzle and slivered almonds. Never a dull moment, nice ambiance, nice atmosphere and fairly quiet for the most part. Can’t wait to go back!

Now, let’s talk about the food—because it lives up to the setting. I ordered the New York Striploin, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Mushrooms Neptune (a Keg classic) were rich and satisfying, and the caesar salad was fresh with just the right amount of dressing. My partner had the prime rib, and it was easily one of the best we’ve had—melt-in-your-mouth good.
What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made great wine recommendations. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Keg Steakhouse for my daughter’s birthday and it was an experience worth recommending. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with their warm and attentive service. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and eager to ensure we had a great time — something that really elevated the overall atmosphere. We started the evening with the baked Brie, which was perfectly creamy and paired beautifully with the accompanying crostini and sweet toppings. It was a fantastic appetizer that set the tone for the meal. For the main course, I opted for the bone-in rib steak,and it did not disappoint. Cooked exactly to my preference, the steak was incredibly juicy, rich in flavor, and had a satisfying charred crust that steak lovers will appreciate. The portion size was generous and well worth the price. The sides were well-executed, complementing the star of the plate nicely. The drink menu offered a solid selection of wines and beers,and our server was helpful in recommending pairings that matched well with our meal. The wine we chose enhanced the flavors of the steak beautifully. The ambiance was cozy yet upscale, making it ideal for both date nights and special occasions. A word to the wise make a reservation, as the restaurant does get busy, especially during peak hours. Finally, the Ice cream cake for the birthday girl made her day. All in all, The Keg delivers on food, service, and experience. They also I’ll definitely be returning!

The Keg Mansion in downtown Toronto is one of my favorite spots! It is the epitome of cozy and elegant! The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is wonderful! The warm Brie with pepper jelly and pesto was so creamy and delicious! The wedge salad is a crispy classic, gotta love the blue cheese dressing! I can't say enough about the Prime Rib! Tender and delicious! Watch out for that horseradish, it has a kick!

Very solid steakhouse. Much better than any chain, solid food, and great service. Loved the Mansion size and feel (even though the decor felt a bit dated). My prime rib was solid, just wish it was more juicy with blood. But still tasty. I recommend here -- just note it is a step below a high end steakhouse but a step above a nice chain.

As someone who isn’t a steakhouse connoisseur, this restaurant surprised me. The taste of appetizers alone sold me before I even received my steak. I had gotten the baseball steak and dare I say it was as rich in flavor as rich as the restaurants history. The shrimp cocktail was fantastic as well as the calamari. I wish the lobster bisque had actual lobster in it though or at least the option to have actual lobster in it. It was tasty nonetheless.

Our server, Jolene, was amazing. Jolene brought positive energy, honesty, and hospitality. When it came to recommendations on what to get, Jolene did not lack there. I hope anyone who comes here has Jolene as a server or someone just as great! Staff seemed to have great chemistry amongst each other and their regulars. One of their patrons, who I’m assuming to be a regular, sat at the bar and they brought out a cake and sang in song for his birthday. I thought that was sweet.

Even if the service wasn’t great, I’d return here in a heartbeat just food the food.

I had such a wonderful experience at The Keg! I ordered the ribeye steak 🥩 and it was cooked to perfection! juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. But what made the night truly unforgettable was the amazing service.

Our server Lindsay went above and beyond to make my birthday special. She surprised me with a birthday cake 🎂, wrote a sweet birthday message on my receipt, and even said, “Happy birthday, beautiful, make a wish and blow out your candle.” That was honestly the kindest thing a server has ever said to me – it felt so genuine and heartfelt.

It wasn’t just about the food (which was incredible) but the thoughtful touches and the warmth in the service that made the evening so memorable. Thank you to The Keg and especially to our server for making my birthday feel so special. I’ll definitely be coming back!
