Arrow Heating & Air Conditioning Co Ltd

We called Arrow to conduct general annual maintenance on the gas furnace, and were told it would cost $99 plus $40 for each 30 minutes.
When the sericeman arrived, he explained that what we were told was NOT true; maintenance actually costs much more than this (close to $300 - can you beleive it!!!). I asked him if he left and did nothing, as a result of the misunderstanding, would I still have to pay? He said YES!!!
The serviceman ended up lighting the pilot light with a BBQ lighter in 2 minutes(which I could have done), and I was forced to pay $160 (including tax). This is totally unaceptable!

There is nothing that I dislike more than being ripped off and taken for a ride, and this is what happened!!! The servieman was friendly and knowledgeable, but forcing us to pay for work that was never done, and not conducting the work that was agreed on the phone for the agreed amount in not acceptable.

I would never recommend using Arrow for heating needs. There surely must be better in Toronto!!!
