I have been buying my hair-care stuff from Trade Secrets inside Eaton Center in the past two years, and found the service in this particular location has absolutely gone downhill. My last visit (yesterday) to this store has made me decide not to go there again in my entire life. I was waiting in front of the counter to pay for my shampoo and conditioner. No other customer was ahead of me. Three or four girls who were working in the store were standing right in front of me, chatting randomly. Nobody had the intention to check me out. After they finished their chat about after three to five minutes, a girl with blond hair finally came over to me to let me pay. She looked like she was reluctantly lending money to me, though I was the one who was paying money to her. Anyway, I finally paid and couldn’t wait to leave the store, and then I found the price on my receipt was different from the price tag on the shampoo bottle. I returned to the blond hair to tell her that the price was not right. She initially refused to admit she made a mistake and tried to make it look like I was stupid. I handed over the shampoo bottle to let her see the price on the bottle. She was silent. Meanwhile, I took out the bottle of conditioner to check the price. I was holding the top of the conditioner (the mouth), but the body of the bottle dropped on the ground. The blond hair asked another girl who seemed in charge to come over, and said “she dropped the conditioner on the floor and broke the mouth.” I did NOT drop the conditioner! The mouth might be loose in the beginning so that the body of the bottle fell! I asked to get a new bottle, because I needed to take it on the airplane and didn’t want the conditioner to leak in my suitcase. But apparently, the store has a policy of “screw you, customers!” In the end, the price difference was only partially corrected, and I still ended up paying extra taxes for nothing. I was forced to take the broken bottle, though they taped the mouth so that “it won’t leak in the suitcase.” My worst ever shopping experience in Toronto. There is no way that I will go back to this extremely unpleasant store.
