Pioneer Hairworks, Kitchener Reviews (6)
Pioneer hairworks is the place to go. The staff are all knowledgeable and take their time to give the client what they want. I have never had a bad experience. The staff are very friendly and the overall experience is something I look forward to at every visit, even a coffee while I get my roots done! The reviews on here are all fairly old and the salon has had a new owner, new stylists and a bit of a face lift since then. Do not let them sway you, it's a one stop shop for waxing, nails and hair and you will leave impressed!
Marlie is amazing, always listens to what I want and makes me look and feel great. Marlene is a bit loud, needs to tone it down just a bit.If Marlie ever moves I am gone like the wind:)
All services cost more than at other salons. Reminds me of a magic cuts place. Sandy isn't consistent. Sometimes my nails look okay. But other times they are a mess. I have decided I could do better elsewhere.
I'm not saying anything about the staff, my stylist (first time here for me) was very nice and for her second day on the job performed well. I have short coloured hair. I had a trim, 5 blonde foils and an allover colour. At the cash when she asked for $150 I was shocked. The salon itself is mediocre, not sparkling clean and quite messy. I had hair dye on my face along with hair cuttings, stuck to the dye in someplaces when I left. If you want to charge the big prices then at least try to match them with service and atmosphere. I can't go back.
Marlie is amazing, she listens and is always professional with the clients. She is talented and gives great cuts.
Good location - should be cheaper for the students who live in the area as it is mostly people attending conestoga.
