I stepped into Pina B;'s Salon and Spa thinking it would be another disappointing hair experience and voila it was life changing for me!
Pina herself communicated with me exactly what i wanted without any struggle for her to understand in no time at all. My service was done in a timely manner and i got what i was looking for and more! Luv this place and will be back! hope she never moves cause rumor has it she has been there a long time!

I don't no how to give pina a negative rating, but I will never go back there, I am so
Upset, I am a lawyer and would like to sue this place. I had over 500 dollars bill when I left , I was such in shock. Every thing about this place is terrable. All pina talked about were all customers could here is about how many men she has had and used

I do not even know where to begin...
I was at the salon for a total of 6.5 hrs!!!!!!! Just for a wash, trim and a colour which usually takes maybe 2 hrs at any other high-end salon.
I was made to wait while she served other customers who came in after me...I was made to wait so long my hair was dry and limp in the towel after my wash!
I experienced her snippy and rude attitude to myself, other clients as well as to her staff! This made me feel quite uncomfortable and intimidated by her.
I was shocked because I have never experienced such un-professionalism at any type of establishment.
Once my hair was complete (a very mediocre job I must say) I went to pay for the services....and of course I was shocked to see the total for the barely noticeable job she had done on my hair. I could not believe her prices - even over hearing what the other clients were being charged was making my eyes pop!
JUST HORRIBLE! I would have had a better job done somewhere else for half the cost! Never again Pina B's!

I was with Groupon Cupon and I had similar experience what previous clients. Problem with booking appointment, bad service (my hair colour was orange) dated facilities. It was the worst and the most expensive hairstylist
in my life. I felt intimidated by the owner. Do not go there.

I had been a client of Pina's for well over 15 yrs. A wonderful and generous friend and I learned earlier on she lacked some of the professional skills required in managing time and client expectations. I remained with her for so many years because I wanted to be royal to her and support a local business. I hoped that things would change over time. She was never on time 95% of the time and from time to time appointments were rescheduled. To be fair, we all know that life may get in the way and things need to be re-rescheduled but then to have to wait over half an hour at times for Pina to appear to do your hair done was unprofessional. Sometimes a manicure would be offered but at frequently Pina had co-op students and I didn't feel like having that service done by someone that was learning and not being supervised during the process. Yes, I understand that students have to learn, and koodos to Pina for giving them the opportunity to do so but not on me. Been there, done that, and I was never happy with the manicure/pedicure as a whole nor with the polish application by a student. I had recommended Pina to at least 4 people and no one ever went back more than 5 times, always hoping that the next time would be better. All had the same complaint. Don't misunderstand me, Pina's skill at colour and cutting is or at least was excellent most times but she always answered the phone, or had a call to make, meeting with friends or vendors that just popped into the shop, and the time would be taken away from the client while she dealt with "other things". One time I went in to have a cut and make-up applied and both Pina and the other person were at me at the same time which just about sent me through the roof. I was told that's how they handle wedding groups and such. This was supposed to be a relaxing experience which turned out to be quite the opposite. The straw that broke the camels back was when she royally screwed up my daughters' hair, the colour was horrible and the cut was not what my daughter wanted but what Pina thought was best suited. WHAT?? Who's the customer? Pina did offer to do re-touch it later, free of charge but my daughter opted not to go back. She over charged 2 of my best friends and then had the nerve to tell me that one of them waited too long to have their colour re-touched and then expected it to be done for free when the fact of the matter is, my friend called a week after having her colour done, asking if something could be "fixed" and she was told that she could come in and it would be done free of charge. Good customer service if you ask me! She was not happy with the colour from the get go. After making an appointment to go back to have it touched up, that appointment was rescheduled once by Pina, and once by another staff member. When my friend tried calling back several times to see if she could get in earlier she was either put off or an earlier appointment was not available which took her into about 5 weeks. The other thing that really upset me frequently was the time factor. What I went in for should have only taken about an hour and a half but sometimes dragged into 3 to 4 hours. Sometimes I would note her getting short with her staff in front of clients, not professional in my estimation. In a nut shell, pay attention to your clients, get them in and out in a timely fashion and make them feel like a million bucks while they're at your shop. If you're going to charge those kind of prices on the Lakeshore, you better make yourself stand out in a positive way. I wish her all the best both personally and professionally and hope she listens to constructive criticism.

I have been a client of Pina B's for over 15 yrs, and
have had the opportunity to use many of the spa and salon services that she provides.
I have NEVER been disappointed. The atmosphere is clean, homey and friendly.
I regularly get my hair cut and coloured, and always put my complete trust in Pina knowing that my hair will look amazing.

Before purchasing through Groupon I called to find out when I could book an appointment she said January.Well it's before Christmas and it appears she is completely understaffed and overwhelmed with the volume.DO NOT BUY THIS OFFER THROUGH GROUPON THEY HAVE SEVERAL OTHER SALONS THAT WILL FULFILL YOUR ORDER ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.AGAIN SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME.

My husband bought me a "decadent spa package" for over $600.00 at Pina B's. To begin her web site is very misleading. The salon was dark and cold, the lock they gave me to lock my purse with didn't match, the washroom was in a dirty, musty basement which had no hot water to wash your hands, I had a mud wrap and then into a tiny shower that had no soap to wash the mud off, I was cut and bleeding three times while having a pedicure and manicure, the aromatherapy bath wasn't up and running which she failed to inform me when I booked my visit, and I waited over a half an hour with a towel on my head for the owner to return to style my hair. When she arrived back she then proceeded to talk on her hands free phone while doing my hair without any apology for making me wait. I was the only client in the place all afternoon on a Friday. Wait that's only the half of it. The owner Pina had the nerve to phone and asked me why I didn't tip. I told her that I was not happy with the overall services. She hung up on me and then called back two more times to tell me what she thought about me and that bad things were going to happen to me. Spinner. Pina B's needs to be shut down.
