Today Mar 4/17, I called for a cab at real Canadian superstore at 825 Don Mills Rd at approximately 11:57 AM and gave them my name and that I would be at the Floral entrance. At 7 minutes past 12 a car came in and there were 2 women standing there who immediately took the car and he left. At 12:10 I called Beck and was told that my car was there at 12:10 and I missed it. I said no as I was outside waiting for it. Another car came along as I was talking to the guy and I said I will take this one. This is the worst service and if I could give a - - - 100 I would . I have used Beck for many years but in the past year I have had to call several times with complaints. This is the last straw when I am lied to so Beck can go to the birds as far as I am concerned. I will never use them again.

Beck Taxi is my Hero!! When my developmentally disabled son found himself lost in a part of the city he didn't know (thanks to bad directions from a TTC driver who refused him a transfer), WITHOUT ANY CASH or other means of payment, Vanessa and Tamika went way beyond to help us out. Unfortunately I had no money at the time, but thanks to these 2 wonderful women we were able to make arrangements for a third party to pay the fare and my son got home safe and sound. On top of it all, they kept in contact with me to give me peace of mind from the moment we called right till they dropped him off at our front door. Beck not only offers great service, they have compassion, which is something you rarely see from a business today. Thank-you Vanessa and Tamika! You set a customer service level that all should strive to achieve

I gave Beck the benefit of the doubt 3 times prior but, they are just horrible cars; not clean, bad body odor, terrible attitude.

I have tried their app which is another joke.

I am going with uber or walk before I ever use Beck again.

Rude driver

I am very disappointed with Beck taxi ! I am a very loyal costumer an I used their services a lot , but with yesterday experience I will think twice before I dial their number again! The driver was rude he did not want to take me from point A to B without give me a reason probably the distance was to short for him!!!! It was 2 a clock in the morning and I did not feel safe to be on the street as a single women and only if the driver was human he will not make such a big sting .The driver was abusive , rude and on top of that when I was on the phone to complain about him he called the cops on me. The driver was losing my time , the cops time as 3 cars came up like I was a very bad person it was very humiliating ! Never in my life I experience something like this . The cops were very nice and called other taxi for me and also suggest it for my next time out to call uber , and probably that what I am going to do next > I was supporting the taxi companies but since they do not care for customer service and my safety and put me in humiliating situations I should not use their services anymore .

Today I received very poor service from Beck Taxi. I only needed a taxi for a short distance and that's what upset the driver but he should not have been so rude to me. It was pouring rain, I unfortunately didn't have an umbrella, was walking in a neighborhood I'm hardly familiar with to get to a friend's place and so I needed a taxi. The driver was very rude to me. What did he not think he was going to get paid? Would he have been that rude if it was freezing and snowing and had to take someone a short distance? Or if it was an emergency? I hope not. So what if it was warm and I was only travelling a short distance? Like I said it was pouring rain, I unfortunately didn't have an umbrella and was unsure of where I was going. He still made his money. It's not his job to judge or approve of how far he has to take a customer. It's his job to take them from point A to point B. Had he not said anything to me at all (ignored me) still would seem like poor customer service but I wouldn't care to complain. He could've easily laughed that he was driving me such a short distance and it would've been a nice laugh and ride with a tip and no complaint right now. It would've been as simple as that.

the cab came to pick my daughter and I up. My daughter Who is slightly physically handicapped got in the right side of the car, I went to the left side to get in. I just got in ,the door was still open and he started to drive away.. I yelled at him he stopped and I closed he door wrenching my neck.
He certainly was not helpful at all. I remember when drivers would open and close doors for you. They need to be trained in some way to try to be helpful and more respectful...That is my last call to Beck taxi.

My daughter was just ripped off $2500 by a Beck Taxi driver. She was in the cab and paid with a debit card. He took the machine, switched her card with another card, saw her PIN number and after dropping her off, cleaned out her account. No help from Beck because she flagged the cab instead of calling it in. They say they have no record of driver activity and there is no way to track what happened. They are not even a cab company but a dispatcher for these criminals! And they have the nerve to complain about Uber!!!

Dont use cabs, use UBER. Its half the price and twice the service. BECK taxi sent a car to my restaurant to pick up two people that did a dine and dash on me for a bill over 100 dollars. We saw them hop in the cab, the cab sped off like a bat out if hell. I phoned the cab company immediately and they said the driver reported a no show. Every other cab company that comes to my restaurant phones repeatedly and often comes right into the restaurant when they can't find their fare. This driver, (car 1882) clearly didn't have a no show, clearly broke a few laws just leaving my parking lot, and the girl on the phone at Beck wasn't bothered at all. She was smug, and clearly knew what was going on but also clearly didn't give a flying %÷#@. Here is the Irony....I'll bet my entire restaurant this cab driver is one of the many that complain about UBER. I am sending BECK a letter restricting them from coming onto my property. I'm so glad that cab companies are coming to an end. They deserve the bitter sweet phase out of existence that is happening to them.

UBER all the way! UBER UBER UBER UBER UBER UBER UBER UBER UBER UBER! GOOD BYE BECK.

Thief cabbies. Be careful with your credit cards. I've had to file a police report after riding in a Beck Taxi last weekend. I will never use Beck again.

Each time I call, I get super service. I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes and the drivers are quite polite. I am helped when needed. Beck is my taxi choice.

I call for a taxi cos I need to get where am going ASAP but as usual beck taxi always shows up late and the purpose for which I called them for is defeated. Your company needs to improve on the timing and also ensure your taxis are clean. Almost all the cabs that pick me up are dirty and stink of cigarette smoke.

Gta taxis have gone down hill over the years. No one speaks English and the cabs smell of food and god knows what. Caucasian drivers are rare and women's safety always a concern. Uber is here to stay and offer clean cars with mostly Anglo drivers a welcome need in the industry. All these protests do is just give computers the chance to try uber and once they do they will never go back to taxis

I have both called and emailed Beck Taxi to express my concerns related to some arrogant and ignorant drivers. After a week with no acknowledgement of my call or emails I've officially deleted the Beck Taxi app and installed Uber. I even tried reaching out directly to Kristine Hubbard (Beck Taxi's operations manager). Had I been acknowledged, (even with a standard formulated email response) perhaps my opinion could have been changed...I have been a loyal user of Beck Taxi for both personal and professional needs since I moved to Toronto 2 years ago.
While many people immediately jumped over to Uber, I remained a loyal Beck Taxi customer...I even sympathized with drivers as I knew there were all losing fares to Uber - I started tipping 30+%. Beck Taxi and other taxi fleets need to step up their game...get a customer experience management system, appreciate your loyal customers else you're going to keep losing us one by one until you have none.

This even, i called for a taxi , from Gerrard Square. When, the driver arrivers. I told him, where i was heading. As the driver came out the parking lot, and stop at the light, on gerrard & pape st, going sourh. I notice that the meter was at $5.25. I said to the driver; why is the meter so high? It hasnt been 4 mins, and your fare has now, went down to $3.25 today. This is the respond of Cab driver #0092 Beck Taxi... No man, and i quote " theres a grace period of five days, we driver's get, before the fare goes to $3.25. I dial Beck Taxi 416 751-5555 right away, while this ASS is driving me to where i need to go. I then, plain out tell the lady what was happening; she then said to me, hand my phone over to him,, so she can talk to him. And u know what, this ass said to the lady. That he never said such thing to me. I then spoke to her, and told her that , hes rude and a lier. And she apologize and told me to call CS, and to make sure the driver, take off a $1.00 off the FARE. The whole matter, is the Principle. This ass, has been ripping ppl off, all day. And telling his stupid stories. I am going back UBER, less headache. Most Beck Driver's i fine rude, and don't know, their way atound the city. I have to direct them to where i need to go, and wheres the best route , and quicker way. Freaking ridiculous! Like, i am a damn GPS, for God sake!!!! I don't normal complain, but this time, his behavior, and crookedness !!!

Driver of Beck cab 2428 had to be one of the worst! He was cutting in and out of traffic and made me and my friend very uncomfortable. He also made many hand jestures to others that were not very professional after being honked at many times. I would not recommend this unprofessional company to any of my enemies.

My 94 year old roommate and I traveled with car #2805 around 10:50 am this morning. This driver had a very bad attitude, (I told him so with these words) he was very unpleasant, rude etc.
I tried to call the supervisor to lodge our complaints three times, left messages with my name and my telephone number. Nobody called back to find out what happened.This is the sad part, they do not care!
Sad, that you had this message before someone else, according to the computer, therefore this is not unique, advising to change the ratings.

A company that has won the peoples choice awards for over 10 yrs, with a strong customer service oriented base..
IS A BROKERAGE.. All taxi drivers are self employed, but BECK only "umberella"s the best of the best! If they used to work for Beck but don't know.. there is a good chance they were'nt up to the task.Just sayin.

There have been a number of incidents with Beck's over the last few years. On Sat., a driver deliberately drove off very quickly after my son dropped his I-Phone in the cab. Even with my son chasing the cab and calling out, not to mention dailing his number for hours, did this driver respond. Sexual harassment for young woman seems to be common place. Although Beck responded politely and were aware these incidents take place, they have done nothing about it basically saying they can't trace all their cabs. Well, of course they could if they put a system in place and it would be nice if they would take responsibility for their drivers.
I personally will be informing everyone that I speak to about what is going on and to record the cab number and for the girls to press charges when harassed.

very very good customer service. The cabs usually come to my house in under ten minutes. they accomodated the use of my credit card. while diomond company couldnt even answer my questions on the phone about my credit card. I would use Beck again.

Hi, I was driving in the Yonge and Eglinton area on the night of January 28 and a Beck taxi with the license plate "ALYY 249" was driving dangerously on a one way road.
We were looking at each other as to who will go in front of the other as we proceeded to exit a parking lot. However, when I honked at him, in order to indicate that he should go first, he stayed in place. Therefore, I took the liberty of driving ahead as he suddenly decided to move forward at the same time. I proceeded to drive ahead of the taxi, but the driver showed signs of anger and frustrations by getting very close to the back bumper of my car, which worried me. All of sudden, he decides to accelerate and overtake my car, nearly hitting my side mirrors and causing me to come a full stop.
I hope that you speak to this driver about his dangerous driving and offer him some sort of punishment. I will be expecting a reply from your office or I will proceed to press charges.

I lost an item in a taxi, called the office immediately with the hopes that my item was found. The operator who answered asked only a few simple questions to figure out what driver it was, gave me a car number and said they would call me back as soon as they got intouch with the driver. Within ten minutes the operator called me back as promised, and informed me that the driver had just called the office to say he had infact found my item, the operator was extremely pleasant and knowledgable. She assure me that the driver was already enroute to return my article to me. By the time i was off the phone with the Beck Office the driver was calling me to ask which floor to bring my items to in the office building he had dropped me. This was by far the best customer service i have ever received in any industry. Both the office staff and the driver were fantastic !!!!! I used to have a corporate account with another company but since this positive experience with beck i have switched to them, i now call twice a day everyday for either clients or personal use and am always greeted with a pleasant professional operator, beck has proven to me time and time again that they want my business. Great Company!!!! Great staff!!!!

I left Toronto to retire in the Northern part of Ontario. Only have to return for my grand children. After 25 years of Investigating Auto Accidents mostly Taxi involved. I learned that the Taxi drivers At Beck Taxi feel they OWN THE ROADS. They will force your Vehicle into coming traffic from a light. I was out shopping tonight and had a Beck Taxi driver almost run into the back of my SUV and he blamed me for being in his way at a red light waiting to make a left turn.I had just caught his Taxi coming up a pound my vehicle to fast to stop in time. I went forward into on coming south bound traffic to avoid being hit by him. The Taxi stopped half way into the Intersection less then 6 inches from the back of my SUV. And he wanted to call the Police on me and have me charged for getting mad at him for his driving, (1) the Taxi was dirty from one end to the other (2) the windows were so dirty from road spry you could not see 5 feet in front of you. Now I had wish I had let him run into me I'm sure Ms. Debbie Beck and her Partners and Share Holders would love to have been Fighting a Retired Insurance Investigator.

P.S I will be contacting the Metro Lic. Commission and their Insurance Company, I do have the Lic. Plate and Metro Lic. Number of the said Taxi. All I can say USE CAUTION WELL DRIVING IN TORONTO AROUND BECK TAXI CABS, THEIR ARE 1ST YEAR DRIVERS. Some don't have Drivers Lic. or Cab Lic. either

I can't believe the ignorance of the person who wrote this! To attempt to trash an entire company with over 1500 employees over an issue with a single employee is unbelieveable! Your accussation of drivers without licenses is absolutely facricated and if that's not enough you personally name someone within the company who had nothing to do with your situation? (Not hard to name somebody else, possibly putting them in danger, while you wallow in your miserable annonimity)
PERHAPS the fact that you're retired and now driving in a quiet rural area, without the traffic of the downtown core of the city of Toronto has put YOU a little off your driving skills!
PERHAPS you just wanted to blow off a little about how important you WERE!
Well get a grip, this company may have saved my daughters life! She was in the city for a New Years Eve party in 2009 (possibly a very busy night for taxi drivers) and was being pushed around and intimidated by several people in the street when a BECK TAXI driver stopped and intervened (perhaps the same driver that you've just trashed!)
My daughter was safely delivered via BECK TAXI to a friends home locally and the driver WOULD NOT take any money from her.
There is no other individual or company that I've every encountered that would have done that.

I recently left my camera in the back of a Beck Taxi cab; it was returned to me safe and sound! Everyone I dealt with at Beck Taxi was more than kind and professional and I was overwhelmed with the driver's honesty in returning the camera! Thank you to everyone at Beck Taxi!!

Had a recent incident which has really made me mad with them . The cabbies are rude, swear at people, won't do what you ask them politely to do , take longer routes and are abusive.

Avoid them - use Diamond Taxi wayyyyyy better!

I recently had to start to rely on taxi's for transportation, and it was suggested I should use Beck. Well, they did not disappoint. They always arrived early when I requested a specific time for pick up. The drivers were always friendly and knew the best route to take given current traffic difficulties. And when I requested a taxi immediately, one would arrive in less than 10 min. One time they arrived so quickly, I barely had time to get my coat on. Highly recommend this taxi company.

yes, me too .. i always had a good experience with them, as a matter of fact i never take any other taxis, they are reliable and fast - under 10 min EVERY TIME!! .. well .. except when there is a snowstorm but even today .. they promised to come within 10-15 min .. but i decided to drive instead .. just for the fun of it :-)

Thank you so much for recommending this taxi service. My son & I are off to Toronto this weekend & will definitely need to use a cab company so I will save this one to my favourites.
It's really nice when people, such as yourself, post great reviews like this becuz when people like myself, visit places like Toronto (& obviously aren't native Torontonians), we haven't got a clue 'where to start'.
When we're able to read reviews such as this one, which are really objective & positive, it makes life so much more easier when travelling to a city that isn't 'home'. :)
