I've been going to Zampinos for over 10 years. I've been living here in NYC for 7 years. When I first moved here, I had my hair trimmed at a top hair salon. For starters, I paid $175 for a "trim". It was a disaster. They butchered my hair. I tried a few other salons, and they continued butchering my hair. I now fly back to Zampinos every other month & have the senior stylist cut my hair. My hair is thick & wavy. I'm not into anything trendy & I rarely colour my hair. The stylists at Zampinos know what I want without even asking for it. As for pricing, it's not expensive. I have great hair, and I thank Zampinos (parents too) for that. ;)

Zampino's did hair and make-up for my wedding a few years ago. There were 4 of us and they did a really good job on all of us. However, when we went for our trials, they were a little rude like some people mentioned, especially the owner. She seemed really moody and arrogant. If I were judging by that, I wouldn't have booked them, but I did like what they did (especially my makeup, which was done by the owner's daughter, forgot her name..)

Not only is this place over priced, but the extremely simple haircut i got and colour job was horrible. I went from really long nice hair and came out with short really dark hair. I went in asking them to boost my colour a bit and the insane colorist decided to make my warm chestnut brown hair jet black! then on top of that trauma the lady cutting my hair went on to tell me my hair was dry and brittle, fine, and without asking she cut of nearly 5 inches when I only asked for 1 inch to be cut off. when told them I was not happy with the experience the hairstylist started RUDELY yelling at me saying they were the professionals and they new what they were doing. I complained to the lady at reception she was the most arrogant woman I had ever met, she looked at me and said "so its just hair, it'll grow out". excuse me but isnt the customer always right? and this place really lacks customer service, and integrity. not only do they not listen, but they act rude and arrogant and do anything they want with your hair. not once did i get told to come back for a correction. then the icing on top of all this was the ridiculous bill i got handed for 130$ just for an all over colour and trim.
Save your money and save your hair! go to first choice but not this place its horrible.

I have been going to Zampino's for over 10 years and couldnt imagine going anywhere else. Joanne is the best of the best. She has taken my hair every color and every style/length and no matter what it's always been amazing. I only trust her to do my hair. The entire staff is very friendly, very much a family environment, zero attitude. I highly recommend to anyone!

The staff is extremely nice and welcoming! Very classy place. Is a little expensive for hair coloring. I got highlight done and they were not looked like all the foils weren't put to the roots. Esthetics are wonderful!!! They do an excellent job on waxing, manicures, pedicures, etc. Hair however i wouldnt recommend
