Interesting location. It’s sort of on the south side of downtown? Walking around gets you to places but the area itself is a little…interesting. Ubering around is your best bet.

The hotel itself is very nice and the staff is very responsive to your needs. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom is large. The only issue I had was the shower door slightly coming off the wall but they fixed it in the hour I went to get dinner.

Gym was awesome! Had everything!!!

Excellent hotel. Very centrally located. Ample offerings in the hotel for food. Rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed (see room video).

I attending a business meeting here and it was a great place to stay. You can get around downtown via above ground walkways throughout downtown Minneapolis.

We had the best time! The service was incredible! Kaysee made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It was my first night away from my baby, I was having a staycation with my friend and she even sent a treat with a note. She is the absolute best! We will be back soon!

Loved this hotel for our girls' night! I wish the bar was open later, but other than that, everything was perfect! The rooms are so cute, the staff is friendly, the food is good!

This experience was incredible inconvenient. Booked this hotel through Expedia for one king room. I got here and they gave me a queen room because I didn’t book directly with them. They told me it’s not guaranteed. On top of that, the queen room they gave me was unprepared and dirty! They had to give me another room after the first one. I had to hassle for any sort of compensation for what I went through. This seemed so unprofessional for a high class hotel. I would consider coming back again if this was resolved and my experience was better.

Location (5/5)
Conveniently situated in downtown Minneapolis near the MPLS Convention Center, making it easy to navigate the area by walking or rideshare.

Accommodations (4/5)
As a Titanium member, I received an upgrade to an executive king room on a high floor. While it appeared to offer slightly more space than a standard room, it's important to note that this property does not have an executive lounge—so the "executive king" designation can be misleading (I knew this ahead of time; sharing for others). The room itself was comfortable and exceptionally clean, though the closet space is limited. I appreciated the large TV and separate tub and walk-in shower. With only a few rooms per floor, my stay was remarkably quiet.

Service (4/5)
The front desk staff was welcoming and informative about the property. While I did experience a wait for breakfast seating, the service was efficient once seated. The valet team was friendly as I was coming and going. The team at the basement speakeasy provided outstanding service (tip: if using the stairs from the lobby level to the basement, be cautions of the last two steps that enter into the basement level as they can easily be missed).

Dining (4/5)
As part of my Titanium benefits, I received a $20/person breakfast credit applicable to any menu items. Contrary to previous reviews, I found the pricing comparable to other hotels in major cities. The food was good overall, though the scrambled eggs lacked flavor.

Atmosphere (3/5)
Unfortunately, the property lacked a "wow" factor that I would expect from a Luxury Collection hotel.

Value for Money (3/5)
Rack rates tend to be on the higher side. If considering a stay, booking through AMEX FHR may offer better value.

Cleanliness (5/5)
The hotel was immaculately clean in all areas.

Overall Experience
Overall, this was a pleasant stay, and I will consider returning. Definitely a great option for those preferring a Marriott property near the MPLS Convention Center.

Had a really great business stay here this past week in Minneapolis. I had stayed at this hotel once before and the staff had notes on my prior stay and were so insanely friendly to me and my team. My room and bathroom were nice, great Byredo products. The tv had streaming apps. The gym at this hotel is pretty decent and larger compared to most hotels. They also have a very nice spa on site with some French products that I really like and use at home.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, also offering texting services. The day after my check in they texted me to check in on me and make sure I was good. Given how extremely cold ( got to -9) it was during my stay the air was so dry. They were able to bring a humidifier to my room helping with my allergies and dry skin. During the winters in MN the heat is the only option. So I turned it off in the room - but there’s no options to cool off the rooms and the hotel also brought me a fan at requests and it really helped as well. The staff were just extremely kind and gracious here which makes a huge difference at a hotel stay.

Overall great stay and would come back.

Only recommendations for consideration - no coffee maker in room and zero tea options for those of us non coffee drinkers. They do have coffee in the lobby which is ok - but felt limited. Only other thing is no fridge in the room which I sometimes find convenient for snacks or certain medications.

Otherwise all was great.

I stayed here for my birthday and it was wonderful! Everyone was friendly, front desk employee, spa employees, restaurant employees (I am sad I dont remember any names). They were even so thoughtful to have a piece of cake and a bottle of champagne brought up for my birthday which was very unexpected but greatly appreciated! Would recommend!

Amazing! We recently stayed at the Hotel Ivy to celebrate my husband’s birthday. When we arrived and checked in, Daniel shared that we were upgraded to another room, very nice surprise. In addition, he had a handwritten birthday card, delicious slice of cake and a bottle of Prosecco delivered to our room. What a thoughtful gesture and truly appreciated. The remodel of the property and guest room was beautifully done, we seriously didn’t want to leave our room! Every member of the team was friendly and welcoming. We’re already planning another stay and looking forward to it so much. Thank you again.

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Ivy, we experienced nothing but warmth, exceptional service, and thoughtful hospitality. My husband and I stayed for just one night to celebrate my graduation, and our experience exceeded every expectation.

At check-in, the front desk associate asked about our stay, and when my husband mentioned the occasion, she warmly congratulated me. That small, genuine moment set the tone for what would be an unforgettable experience. Our room was beautiful, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable, with a peaceful ambiance that made for a restful stay.

After attending a school event, we returned to find an unexpected surprise—a beautifully arranged dessert tray and a handwritten card congratulating me on my achievement. This level of care and attention to detail was thoughtful, considerate, and truly memorable.

Hotel Ivy has now become my go-to hotel whenever I visit the Twin Cities. The service, elegance, and personal touches make it stand out as a luxury experience worth every penny. I can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed our 10th anniversary at Hotel Ivy. They gave us a great experience and surprised us with a bottle of Champagne, following our dinner close by at Butcher and the Boar. Overall a great hotel, with a lot of close proximity places for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also have a phenomenal workout facility for a hotel, and have a spa. Make sure to book spa far in advance.

I travel for business often and I appreciate all the amenities in the Marriott brand. However, this hotel is absolutely exceptional and I go with my family at least twice a year. Last November we went as a birthday celebration.
We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Be sure to try the walleye dip! We returned to the room and we had a wonderful surprise. The hotel staff had brought us champagne, chocolate cake and macaroons.
I think you will love your stay at this hotel. The staff is friendly, the hotel is well-maintained and the spa is fantastic!

I went to Hotel Ivy for a staycation for my birthday and I had such a wonderful time! The staff made me feel so special and treated me like I was a VIP guest. They went above and beyond for me to accommodate my needs. Also, the room was so beautiful, and provided the luxury feel I was looking for. I would definitely go again and recommend to friends!

The front desk staff and valet service men were so helpful, polite and welcoming!

The front desk staff also surprised us with a complimentary treat to make our experience, celebration and stay that much more special! On top of also giving us each a drink ticket voucher to use at Breva. We have zero complaints and loved the noon check out time on Sunday. We would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back!!

This hotel made me feel like a celebrity—no exaggeration. Their customer service was exceptional, and I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. Manners, kindness, and going the extra mile are rare these days, but they delivered all of that and more. I’m officially a loyal customer! The staff were incredibly attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable.

I want to first say I have loved this hotel for years. The past few years I have booked an overnight stay on my wedding anniversary which is December 31st. I also am a Marriott Ambassador member so I often stay at Marriotts. This year I upgraded to their top room - a suite. When I booked the room, I noted it was our wedding anniversary.
We checked in after our dinner which was around 8 pm. My wife and I were exhausted given we have come back from Italy for Christmas a few days earlier. We just wanted to go to bed. When we arrived, we were told they could not put in the welcome miles option but they would call us soon thereafter which I honestly didn’t understand. That call never happened. When we pulled back the covers, there was a huge sag on one side of the bed. We were both stunned to see this so obvious. Plus this their top of the line room. Instead of repacking our bags we decided to make it work. After not sleeping well, we both decided to eat breakfast there and then leave early. When we were checking out, I told them I was disappointed in the bed and the response was he would let engineering know. He also noted that he saw it was our anniversary. No complementary glass of champagne, no discount on breakfast for the bed situation, nothing. I was not looking for the tool to be free or anything like that but I did expect they would do something, especially given it was our anniversary. Really, really disappointed in the hotel and staff. I expect better from the hotel. Next year I will try a different hotel.

The decor is beautiful, both in common areas and in the rooms.

However, It feels like this place is ran by an absoulte cheapskate. Hidden Fees snuck into everything, lack of amenities, constantly out of things on the menu.

Overall, this place does not offer a good value for hospitality, you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Amazing Stay, Great Customer Service.

From check-in through the end, all the staff at the hotel were friendly and kind. We especially appreciated the front desk following up throughout the stay to see if everything was excellent.

We’ll continue to return to the Hotel Ivy for special occasions.

Patricia and the whole hotel staff and staff in the spa was amazing, so accommodating, and made my mom’s birthday celebration and first time stay here one to remember. We will definitely be back. Patricia was such a gem and goes above and beyond for your guests.

The hotel is very clean, comfortable beds, the room was great for us, enough pillows and towels, the staff was friendly and they were happy to assist us during our two day stay, price was a little bit high $400 dollars, but hi, remember it is a luxury hotel which was okay for us. It has bar inside which was great for me any my wife, but if you want big bar with many selection maybe you have to walk to the nearby bars. The hotel is in a great location, it has also a restaurant. we didn't have any problems with parking our car.

Had a great stay at Hotel Ivy for a three-night getaway. We were early to check in, and were happy to hear that our room was ready. I had included in my reservation that we were celebrating a milestone birthday, and were thrilled to receive a complimentary bottle of prosecco and macarons shortly after getting to our room. It was accompanieded with a hand written note. Our request for a high floor was also granted. The room was clean, comfy, and met our needs! The staff was great. We were lucky enough to enjoy the spa as well. Should I ever find myself in Minnesota again, I would stay at the Hotel Ivy.

Liv was the most outstanding waiter we could ever ask for, and her service really is what made the experience so wonderful. Thank you, Liv. You are such a gem. Holly made delicious cocktails, as well as raving about the nachos at AGAVE. They were SO good. We ordered two. It is one of the best dishes we’ve ever had, like EVER. The scene in Agave is perfection and it will be our new hang out when we visit MSP. The hotel is lovely in every way you hope your stay to be. A+++++. Thank you to everyone who made our night so perfect.
