We are proudly perched on the Ped Mall, (the heart of downtown) and a twenty-minute walk from Kinnick Stadium just ‘cross the river from campus—making us home team central for Hawkeye meet ups, a downtown caucus and all the best shops and stops! (Raygun, anyone?) Our lobby is literally literary gold. Check in and check out our cheeky front desk tribute to that stately test. We have hand-written the book on cool, (well, author Tim Taranto did) all over our halls and walls. You’ve got to read it to believe it. The place is stacked with books, storied inspiration and stocked with presidential aplomb. (Roped off and ready for hopefuls!) Gather your gang on a Tiger Hawk sofa, and linger at lengthy communal tables ripe for riffing on policy and opinion over cocktails and coffees. The café, complete with number two pencil-clad walls, reminds us of writers past, present, future and is ready for a bite. Head on into our 70s basement inspired bar, where even Dad would be jealous of the downhome vibes and beers on tap.
