WETT Inspections Services, Elgin Reviews (2)
Michael's Inspection service is top notch! He arrived on time, did his onsite inspection and later completed a very thorough digital report. It was obvious he has detailed knowledge and extensive experience in the industry. His communication was effective and he was respectful and courteous while on site.
Thank you for the kind remarks! The work I do inspecting and consulting on solid fuel appliances is important and I try very hard to be comprehensive and professional in all aspects of it.

We highly recommend our WETT inspector, Michael Rousseau. To begin with, he showed up at exactly the time he said he would, had the manual for our woodstove in hand (so we could keep it) and knew all about the model we had, even though the company that had made it went out of business years ago. We did have to make one minor change to our stove pipe in order to be certified, but he talked us through everything, let us know a few places we could go to get the parts we needed, and when we were having a little trouble figuring out how the pipe connected, he phoned us right away the next morning and walked us through it. Michael went well above and beyond the duties of a WETT inspector and he helped us immensely. I can't stress enough how happy we are that we had him as our WETT inspector.
It's been a while, but i'd like to thank you for the review. It's always a pleasure working with nice people

As I’m sure you are aware, it is becoming increasingly important to have WETT compliance inspections on homes with wood burning stoves or fireplaces during Real-Estate transactions. Most insurance companies require an inspection by a certified WETT professional before a buyer can get fully approved for home insurance.
As an Agent representing a purchaser or vendor of a residential property, or a home buyer or seller, you will need to rely on a qualified WETT inspector with many years of experience to supply you with a report on the wood or pellet burning appliance and venting system. My reports comprise photos (annotated where appropriate), PDF checklists and cover letter as well as the description of the level of inspection being conducted.
I have been in this industry for over 30 years. I was the owner of a hearth products company in Brockville Ontario from 1985-1997. Subsequent to that I have been consulting in the service and inspection side of the industry. I served on the National Board of Directors for WETT INC for 8 years.
I presently concentrate solely on inspection, consulting and remedial work in Eastern Ontario. My certification credentials include the highest levels of certification:
• Master Technician
• Master Sweep
• SITE Basic Inspector
• SITE Comprehensive Inspector
