Mexican sushi might look like a made-up term, but we can ensure you that likely it's a real cuisine coming out of La Puente California (with origins in the Sinaloa area of Mexico). We visit EL SUSHI LOCO in La Puente and Downey, a restaurant considered the leader and originator of Mexican style sushi, to view what they are all about. From deep-fried crab and shrimp rolls to cream cheese topped chicken tempura rolls, it's most definitely not your typical sushi restaurant by any means. Take notice, because their head chef believes Mexican sushi will soon take control the Los Angeles and the US.
