Cynthia S. Wiley DMD, MDS

Dr. Cindy Wiley has been working in the dental profession for thirty six years and enjoys every minute of it! She started as a Certified Dental Assistant and then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. She practiced as a Hygienist before returning to dental school. Upon graduation, Dr. Wiley practiced General Dentistry in the United States Air Force. She deployed to Saudi Arabia with Seymour Johnson AFB 1990-91 for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Dr. Wiley earned the rank of Major before returning to the University of Pittsburgh to complete a three year residency for Orthodontic Specialty Training and earn a Master of Dental Science Degree. Dr. Wiley loves the dental profession and believes in giving back. She is involved in several professional and civic organizations. She is the Past President of the Board of Directors of the Wayne County Health Department and Past President of the Wayne County Dental Society. She is Past President of the North Carolina Dental Society Fifth District. She serves as a Board member for the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists and is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Community Federal Credit Union. Dr. Wiley serves as a Mentor for dental students at UNC and ECU Dental Schools. She was selected by her peers as a Fellow in the International College of Dentists and also as a Fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
