Marigolds And Onions Ltd.

M&O catered our recent wedding in Toronto and I cannot heap enough praise on them. Out of all the vendors we hired, owner Al Saloman was head and shoulders above the rest. He met with us multiple times over the course of several months to try different meal options, select dishes and flatware, and review the menu. Wedding planning can be very stressful, but we felt much better having Al and company on our team.

After all of that, M&O absolutely outdid themselves on the big night. We had loved everything at our tasting sessions, but I swear it was all even better at the wedding. Our guests could not stop talking about the food.

Don't think twice about hiring Al and M&O. You won't be disappointed!

My wife and I have ordered food from this establishment for a number of years for our annual Christmas open house. In a word, everything we have received from them has been terrific. We are always supplied with a list of appetizers that are available(and it is quite large). The staff are always very helpful in explaining each dish and we always receive instructions as to serving it cold or hot. The hot appetizers always come with re-heating instructions that are very simple. The delivery has always been on time. Of course, the main comments should always revolve around the food, and each year our guests rave about the food and often ask how to get in touch with the company so they can order their own.From the food and service we have received we will always continue to be a customer of Marigolds and Onions. Great work folks.

Hired Marigolds and Onions for a luncheon function and ended up quite disappointed. Before half of my guests went to the buffet, all of the breads & bagels were gone and no coffee or tea had even been set up. I spoke to the staff and was informed that my order did not include tea & coffee, (it was ordered but the caterer forgot to add it to the order with the shipment) As for breads the caterer is adamant that they sent out enough quantity.

To make matters worse one of the staff told my guests that the host did not order enough food.

Needless to say I was quite upset with the service received from Marigolds and Onions. I had ordered from their menu and ordered for the number of guests on our list.

What Marigolds and Onions did do is;

remove the tea & coffee from the invoice (I would have expected not to pay for something not received)

remove the cost of one of the staff who was quite miserable and just plain rude

I still felt that Marigolds and Onions did not do enough, the did not provide the service as advertised, their staff were not pleasant and most importantly I was embarrassed by the comments made by the Marigolds and Onions staff to my guests.

A number of my guests were quite surprised with the luncheon provided given the types of functions I have put on in the past.

I was more disappointed in the manner dealt with afterwords by Marigolds and Onions than the function itself.
