I used Appleby Moving when we were downsizing from a townhouse to a condo, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very start, Jeff, the owner, was extremely pleasant and professional. He was upfront about pricing and provided a clear, detailed explanation of what to expect on moving day.
The movers arrived right on time, carefully disassembled our furniture, and made sure everything was safely packaged for transport. When we got to the condo, they even ensured the elevator was fully protected before moving items in.
The team worked efficiently and respectfully, reassembling everything perfectly in our new home. What we expected to be a stressful experience turned out to be an easy, smooth transition thanks to their hard work and professionalism.
I have no hesitation recommending Appleby Moving. They made what is usually one of the most stressful days completely manageable — and even pleasant.

We required a 2 part move with half travelling to our cottage and half to our new home. The entire team at Appleby Movers made the entire process seamless. The day of move everyone was on time and ready to go. I felt under prepared when they arrived. They made us feel as if everything was under control and made much easier than expected. Significant care of our property seemed second nature.

Appleby Movers help with a move for my company. On the initial date of the move, our equipment as a little heavier than expected so more assistance was needed. While we needed to change the date of the move (which was completely understandable), the move was completed a few days later, and they made things very easy, despite the change in schedule. It was a challenging move with the size of the equipment and they handled it expertly.

This company is terrible. They either lost or stole my belongings. The owner Jeff is a smooth talker who will try to make it seem like it's your fault or that you misplaced your own stuff. Everything was taken out of my condo, stored, and then not returned. I didn't lose anything. The workers are good movers however. They put a lot of care into moving and not damaging anything. It's the storage part of the business that is terrible.

Jeff and the gang were really great helping moving my parents from their house to their new condo!!! Very accomoditing. comforting, quiet, careful, put the customer needs came first, good humour and upbeat attitude even with a big complication and a winter storm and overtime. Highly recommend!

Moved my mother from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 1 bedroom retirement home. Small move so no in-home quote required. Jeff gave estimate over phone based on expected time required. Actual cost matched estimate. Also asked them to take some items to landfill. The movers were excellent. Driver was an experienced leader of the team and organized the movers very effectively. The guys worked hard and efficiently. They were flexible and sorted things to be moved from stuff to landfill. Communication, price, work execution were all perfect. Will use them again for sure !!! In the last 5 years I have used Appleby Moving and Storage 5 times. Twice to move my daughter’s family and twice to move my mother into and out of her apartment, then into a retirement residence which included having her furniture in storage for 2 months. The service that we received was outstanding. Nothing broken in any of the moves (my mother had a lot of antiques and crystal), well organized, no stress (for me). The owner was very accommodating, staff were polite and helpful. Can’t thank them enough. Highly recommend.

We would recommend Appleby movers to anyone needing to move- no matter the size of your move! The customer service, communication, fair pricing and quality service goes above and beyond any other moving company. We have moved with Appleby movers several times now because we trust them wholeheartedly. Our most recent move for my elderly father, they were able to pack up all of his stuff and move it into storage with delicate care - treating his items as if they were their own. They were gentle, fast, efficient, friendly and respectful before during and after the move. They were incredibly helpful to make a very stressful situation far less overwhelming. The whole experience was stress free and done with peace of mind. They were flexible and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. They were accommodating with requests and responsive in a timely manner. I can’t say enough good things about Appleby Movers. They have been there for us during some difficult moves, most notably when my father sold his home after my mother passed away and most recently when my father had to move into respite care.

I recently engaged Appleby Moving for a move from one town to another. We used Appleby moving and storage Limited to move from Burlington to West Nippising.
They held all our stuff for one night so we wouldn’t clash with the people moving out. The crew that packed us up in Burlington were professional, respectful, and amazing at their jobs! I couldn’t believe they fit it all in the truck.(Way to go Sebastian)
The second crew that drove north, and unloaded were equally as professional and respectful of all our furniture and boxes. I would highly recommend using this company. Clearly they put their customers first.

I cannot praise Jeff and his team enough! They did a fantastic job from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. We had a storage unit plus a house full of stuff to move and for every obstacle I thought would be too much they found a way to make it work. Thoroughly recommended for anyone who wants great movers at a fair price!
