My WEDDING DRESS was NOT CREATED AS PROMISED. Ruslan did not produce the original dress, he added his own design which I was forced/convinced to like. Plus charged extra for his added touch which I did not ask for!!
Lia will spin u around with her circle of words, LIES and explanations regarding extra costs. EVERY FITTING... HAD some EXTRA COST....She will TAKE AVANTAGE of you, especially if you are of European decent... you won't even be asked if you have a budget.
Once u make full payment, the quality of service and promises disappear. Ruslan washes his hands of you. Onto the next bride...
No promo video in the end... which proved to me the designer must not have liked his own design. RUSLAN WILL CHANGE the STYLE of YOUR DRESS once paid in full. He will tell you, he didn't think what was discussed suited the dress upon making it. He couldn't do it for one reason or another.
I CRIED AT MY DRESS FITTING because of the disappointment I felt. After all the work is done, the last thing u want is for him to take it apart, pick out beads/diamonds and ruin the dress with only a few weeks left before your wedding. It wasn't until my last fitting that I realized that my custom designed VERY EXPENSIVE dress (Because of extra costs) DID NOT even HAVE a CUSTOM FIT IN BRA... I was told I didn't need it..
I had to keep pulling my dress up throughout the day. It did not compliment my body. I truly believed I was in good hands, boy was I wrong. I did NOT receive ONE COMPLIMENT ABOUT My DRESS on the wedding day and to this day...
I can't stand to look at a photo of myself in that dress. I had to wear a dress that I did not originally fall in love with because of all the money I had already invested. I have not ordered any wedding photos.
For all the money I spent, you would think I had a famous designer create my weddding dress. WISH I CHOSE a REAL, REPUTABLE, TRUSTWORTHY DESINGER; NOT RUSLAN.
SPOSA ITALIA RUINED MY BRIDAL EXPERIENCE. I literally became depressed. WISH I NEVER WALKED INTO THIS STORE!!!
The service provided by "Daniela" the salesperson was very helpful, honest and pleasant. I know it can be very excrutiating to deal with different personalities and different purposes when you're in the customer service business but we felt very special that day.
She not only made the sale but introduced us to Ron the owner who was also very pleasant.
My motto is to judge for yourself and form your own opinion. It would be their loss if they fail as salespeople with great customer service. In today's competitive market, the only difference that makes one shope better than another is the customer service. Making people feel special and being honest will make a business very successful.
Thank you to Daniela and Ron for making my experience a positive one and I will certainly let people know to ask for Daniela when they come to visit your shop.
Prior to purchasing my wedding gown the staff were attentive and professional. After I purchased not only my wedding gown but also three bridesmaid dresses from Sposaitalia it was the worst place ever.
I had a bridesmaid drop out and requested a refund. At first I was told that there was no refunds on ordered dresses. I said “the dress wasn’t ordered because I never provided her measurements”. I was then told I could have the refund. I requested the refund each time I went in after that being told things like only the manager can do that. When the manager was there and I requested it Lia, owner of the shop, said I may want to save it in case I need something like an alteration and I agreed. I had also requested the dress be cleaned and was told it would cost an amount less than what I was owed. When I finally picked up my dress and again asked for my refund the woman there said she had spoken to Lia D’Agostino, owner of the shop, and said it went to the dress cleaning which I was not consulted about or told. I was given an estimate which was less than the refund itself. Of course this was a shock as I was quoted a lesser amount than my refund.
When I made an appointment for my fitting and called in to confirm I was told I didn’t have an appointment and had book again. I was told the bridesmaid dresses would be in around mid-December. My wedding was January 9, 2016. I had made an appointment for my bridesmaids to try on their dresses on December 19, 2015. The shop unexpectedly was closed that day and I was not notified. One of my bridesmaid travelled over 2 hours to come and try on the dress. I left a voice message and one of my bridesmaids had emailed them. I received a voice message a few days later from Vanessa apologizing and wanting to reschedule although they were closed over Christmas. After they reopened on December 29, 2015 I attended to pick up all the dresses as now with everything that had happened I just wanted to get the dresses and never have to attend or converse with that business again. My bridesmaid was not going to travel 2 hours again to try on this dress and I told the store I need the dress to ship it to her to have alterations done. To my surprise they had never even received the bridesmaid dresses and did not tell me. Very angry I took my dress and left. On December 30, 2015 I received a call from Sposaitalia telling me the dress was in and I could pick it up that day or tomorrow. I was out of town at a Christmas dinner. Later that evening I received a voice message from Sposaitalia advising that they would be closed December 30 until January 2, 2016. Keep in mind my wedding date was January 9, 2016. I picked up the dresses on January 2nd being a Saturday and had to ship it on the Monday before the wedding.
You have enough stresses planning your wedding, don’t add another one, and don’t shop at Sposaitalia.
I did not imagine my Mother not being there to share my joy. My mother passed away on January 20th 2014 and planning my wedding or searching for my wedding dress was no longer a priority. I tried a few times throughout the year to visit places. I would step in and got as far as 5 steps and walked back out sobbing.
Late in July 2015 after my beautiful surprise bridal shower, my girlfriend reminds me that I will be married in September which is 2 months away and I do not have a wedding dress. I didn’t care. She reminds me that typically it would take 3-4 months to order from first fitting to the final fitting. Again, I didn;t care. I told her that if the place did not have a dress for me to take that day, then the dress was not for me. I would just purchase a plain white dress I could find from any store.
A couple of weeks passed and now I know that I do have to find something. I made an appointment at Sposaitalia. Dreading this appointment, I brought my youngest daughter. I walked in and had no interest whatsoever. I introduced myself and stated I was here for my appt. A lovely lady looks in her book and confirms and tells me “Lia, will be with you shortly”...my heart skipped abeat and tears are now filling my eyes...”I’m sorry, what did you say?’...another women approaches me and says “Hi I’m Lia, I will help you”...you see...My dear Mothers name is Lea pronounced Lia. My youngest daughter says, “that’s my grandmothers name and she died last year”...we all paused and I had my hairs stand up on my arms and I felt chills down my back. Okay...if this is not Divine Intervention, then I don’t know what is. The rest of the day went as follows, found my dress that fits me very minimal alterations AND I take that same one, no need to wait 4 months!. Can I also mention my preference of my “Something Blue” was my shoes and can you believe it, one pair left and MY SIZE!!!!! I also purchased my Beautiful Mantilla and my Tiara was a bonus! One stop Shop!!!!
My mother definitely wanted me to come here! To be honest with you, it was a wonderful experience. Very clean, professional and all the staff members are very catering to my needs emotionally as well as listening to my wants. If it that wasn’t enough, SposaItalia allowed me to get ready at their Salon and they dressed me! I had such a wonderful experience and will always refer SposaItalia. Thank you Lia and your wonderful staff! Please see my photo on SposaItalia Instagram #sposaitaliawoodbridge

1. My wedding dress arrived late. I ordered my dress in April 2014 for my wedding on May 2, 2015. I was told that my dress would definitely arrive in early February, but the owner wrote February/March 2015 on the receipt and my wedding dress did not arrive until April 2nd.
2. When I inquired about when my dress would arrive, I received several contradicting responses from the owner.
3. The alterations on the wedding dress were very poorly done. Even the owner and head seamstress acknowledged that the workmanship was not at the expected level of professionalism. For example, there were multiple holes where the fabric was cut during alteration; the lace hem and several seams that were altered (e.g. shoulders, under arms) were not completely re-sewn; there were even more pulls in the lace after alterations than when it arrived; and multiple beads in the bodice were missing and were not replaced, as had been promised. Despite the store’s offer to fix the dress, we did not trust them to repair the damage and it took over 36 hours of work by another seamstress to make the dress ready to wear.
4. The wedding dress had multiple yellowish stains on the fabric when we picked it up. We think these stains were from the salt water used for steaming the dress. The dress had to be cleaned before I could wear it.
5. The owner promised us a refund for the alterations since these were so poorly done. Despite a reminder email, this promised refund has still not be processed.
6. My wedding dress did not have an Allure Bridals label like the dress I tried on, ordered and paid for, but instead had a “Sposaitalia Couturier” label. When we asked about this, the owners stated that they had no idea why the dress did not have an Allure label and blamed this on the person who did the alterations.
Domenica was so kind and patient and I truly felt like I was in the most capable hands with all of the special beading done to the dress. I received so many compliments from many wedding guests. The biggest one came from my new husband who was truly amazed by me in this beautiful dress. It was so right. Thank you Sposaitalia and my wonderful bridesmaids for your most valuable contributions to helping me choose the perfect dress for our very happy wedding day on November 29, 2014.
