I dont even know if Bella Moda even deserves any rating at all, its so bad!
I've never had a dress made before but the experience my friends and I had was absolutly horrible! The bride to be lived in the states while all of us bridesmaids were here in calgary. The bride to be mailed a dress over of how she wanted her bridesmaids dresses to be. The seamstress suggested to us to get the dresses made in Chiffon as it was "suppose" to be a much better quality material and would make the dresses much better. To me, the so called "Chiffon" material she used must have been the cheapest quality of material out there! With the type of dress she was copying off of, it was suppose to be a nice and flowy dress....our was stiff! The sides of our dress went straight out, rather then laying nicely against our legs, which in the end, non of there dresses were flattering one bit, on any of us. When we flew to our destination the brides grandma had to make some alterations to fix the dresses so they wouldnt look as horrible! The pleating under the breast was horrible, it didn't curve nicely at all...it puckered as if all of us had some huge protruding nipples or something!
I'm no seamstress at all and have never made a dress in my life until I decided to make a dress for halloween and I did one hell of a job! I needed to add pleating under the bust of the dress so it would curve and hug nicely against my breast...and for not having the training or anything, I beat Bella Moda out of the water!
I'm honestly suprised this place is still open for business but have learned my lesson and will NEVER go back! The $200 we spent each on our dress was a complete rip off and probably would have been able to find a better dress at Sirens or something.
So this is just a warning out to anyone thinking to get a dress made, some people might have had a good experience, I'm just giving the experience my friends and I've had. She might come off as cheaper then other places, but I would rather spend the money on a quality dress that you can wear again in the future, rather then a dress that looks absolutly horrific on you and is beyond cheaply made!
