Ami-Fer

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Bought my beautiful bridesmaids dress here, it got altered at the seamstress, the dress was perfect. Immediately brought it back to Ami-Fer for it to be steamed. Come home and I find this. My mother called, I called and my sister. They argue with the woman, they blame the seamstress.

We show up the next day which was a Wednesday and literally explaining to her what was done, suggests a steam. Which I say is going to damage the dress further. We found another mark. At this point I’m. Synod upset, my mother is telling her we paid 400$ plus for this dress, she had the audacity to blame it on the seamstress. Ami-Fer we’re the last ones to have to have the dress in they possession.

The steam/vape as she suggests or vape was supposed to have be done away from the dress, it was done close to the dress. Mind you this woman was there when I was done. I was there too, but how am I supposed to know it was supposed to have been done far away.

She literally abandons us mid conversation saying she doesn’t want to argue, when we say we want a discount, something / anything, because the damage was done here as I stated they were the last ones with the dress.

Please to anyone going here, DON’T they are crooks and won’t help you otherwise. Triple check your dresses if you’ve gone here, and have already bought it. They will never take NO responsibility. We are looking into legal action as we speak.

Ami-Fer, que dire? Fer, peut-être, mais Ami, certainement pas! Je suis entrée avec ma mère en fin de journée pour un voile. Je me suis fait approchée par une quinquagénaire blonde assise dans les escaliers, qui n'a même pas eu le savoir-vivre ni la classe de se lever pour nous demander ce que nous cherchions. "Il n'y a rien en bas de 250$ ici", fut sa réponse. Wow! Après lui avoir demandé si j'avais l'air cheap, je lui ai dit qu'elle m'avait enlevé l'envie de voir son inventaire et nous sommes sorties. Mon conseil: peu importe vos moyens, épargnez-vous donc toute mauvaise surprise et allez chez de vrais professionnels. Ça ne manque pas à Montréal.

The staff were amazing, kind and helpful. They took a personal interest in making sure I was happy and satisfied. I found the gown of my dreams there at a reasonable price. The dressmaker did a miraculous job taking it in. I will actually come back to visit them , just to say hi. I will definitely come here if I ever need another gown. I highly recommend this store.

I went to the store and saw one dress that attracts me, but it is hung very high and I can't reach it.. So I ask one lady if she can help me and didn't even bother to answer. So I tried to ask the man, I'm not sure if he is the store manager whatever. I ask if he can help me to get the dress so I can see it properly, and was surprised with his answer.." No, I am busy and I have a lot of clients" and turn back on me.. The rudest guy ever.. You don't deserve even a half star

WORST customer service experience of my entire life. The place is a total mess: impossible to find someone to advise you, and when you finally do: bitchiest persons in town. Avoid this place at all costs if you care about your well-being and your happiness. Visiting this store will ruin your day, I guarantee it.

Fast service and very honest

My mother, my best friend and I stepped in the boutique quiet a bit discuraged. We had no appointment for the wedding dresses upstairs but my best friend explained that I'm from out of province .We were lucky to fit in between 2 appointments. I have been asked what style of dress I am looking for and showed couple to fit my style, budget and expectations. The staff was very helpfull and showed their professionalism.
I found the perfect dress. Thank you for loving your jobs , it shows.

I went in the boutique after going at 3 or 4 others. I was around 4 PM, I had found dresses but did not get the WOW I was looking for. When we came in the boutique, the lady made me look through a catalog to see what kind of dress I was looking for. There were only two dresses that I liked and that they had in store. The first dress I tried on I completely fell in love. My mother and two bridesmaid gave an instant wow. Nina the salesperson was very nice. I am very surprised with all the bad reviews because this place was were I had the most decent serice

I just bought my daughter's dream sweet 16 dress here! Although there was a huge selection of beautiful dresses and gowns, Stephanie was extremely helpful in suggesting different styles! She was super friendly and gave us excellent service! I will definitely be returning here for my daughter's prom! Great staff and fantastic selection! I will be telling all my friends and family to shop here!

I just purchased the most amazing gown at Ami-Fer! After days of shopping in the salons on St Hubert, I found the staff at Ami-Fer to be the most inviting and also very eager to help without being pushy. The price I got on my dress was by far the most reasonable pricing I saw all weekend. Definitely check out the gorgeous selection at Ami-Fer! Also, the owners are in-house and the kind of people you want to give your business to!

I knew about the awful service that is offered at Ami-Fer but based on the dress selections I decided to go there anyway! Big mistake...literally walked out after 15 min because of the owners "rude remark" and the worst client service ever. I work in retail so I know good service when I see it! I was sitting on the stairs waiting for someone to assist me and the owner passed by and said; your not happy are you? Me; not really no one is coming to at least see me! Him; well that's not a good start..... Wait what!!!! Who says that? So I responded; you know where I'm going to spend my 5000$...not here bye!!! So I bought my dress at Sposabella best place ever !!

Went there for bridemaids dresses. I knew the style and coulour I wanted it was just the price I was satisfied with so I wanted to talk it over with my bridemaids outside and when I told them we were just going to walk down the street and come back she yelled at me asking what my hesitation was and that I needed to do it now. She said if I got it from another store I would never get my dresses. Turned me right off of giving them my business. She was bad mouthing other businesses on the street as if that would sway me more. I would never go back there. Horrible customer service.

People in this store are big fat liars. The worst was the lady at the cash, Barbara! She promised that I could use my credit note for ANYTHING in the store but when I went back 3 weeks later to use my credit note, she told me the note was no longer applicable for other products in the store except for wedding dresses which cost at least 1k !!!

I had read the comments about AMI-FER before visiting the store figuring I would see it for myself since they seemed to have a nice selection on there website. This was the first store I went to and it could not have went more disastrous!!! Within seconds of being in this store we were barked at to remove our shoes and go upstairs. Once upstairs we walked into the middle of a screaming match between 2 employees. I had written down the number and designer of the dresses I was interested in trying that I found on there website. The woman was extremely rude and told me she didn't know where these dresses were! when I told her they were on her website and asked if they had internet so that I could show her she told me she was too busy ad she was with a bride. She then found 1 I had written down since it was on display and I pointed it out to her. She then tossed it at me and told me to go put it on (with no help) when my friend tried to come and help me she yelled at her and said I WILL DO IT!! she quickly laced me up and when I told her it was a lot larger than I wanted she told me ALL dresses were like this now. When I asked if she had one in a similar style she said No. We ended up leaving after that and I ended up finding my gown at FRANCE.B PRONUPTIA! NEVER GO TO AMI-FER YOU WILL BE DISCOURAGED AND THE STAFF IS RUDE AND UNPROFFESIONAL!! WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY

I had an absolutely despicable experience at this store with my bridal party. We were 6 girls and we spent several hours shopping for dresses. The saleslady we dealt with was quite nice but when the manager started "helping out" we were all quite taken aback by her rudeness. When asking about prices and trying to bargain, I felt that the manager's aggressive tone was too much to take and I voiced that I was not sure about buying from them due to her rudeness. At that point, the other owner looked at us and proceeded to say, "Get the fuck out of here! We don't need to kiss your asses!" Wow!!!!!!!!!! We all left speechless...
Thank God we didn't actually buy any dresses there!!!

I was thrilled with the service and professionalism of Ami-Fer. I purchased my wedding dress there and despite the how busy they were the sameswoman made me feel like the only bride in the store. I was so happy that I purchased my bridesmaid dresses and my mothers dress there too.

As for the negative reviews the store is crazy busy because they are great. If it was a bad store they wouldn't be as busy.

I highly recommend this store to all future brides

I ordered 4 bridemaids dresses, and I had problems with 3 of them. One was very too small, one had been ordered with the wrong colour, and one had a very weird chest... I had to negotiate a lot to have the alterations for free for the dress that didn't fit at all (the one too small), and they didn't even want to negotiate for the alterations on the one with problems at the chest... I don't know if I had lost my mind, but I had the bad idea to order ties from them, and they made me pay more than double the price that is on the Dessy website.

Please girls, believe me : DON'T GO THERE!

they ordered the wrong size dress for me and made me pay to take the dress out with no discount or inconvenience freebee. plus the guy was rude blaming me for getting fat when in fact the size they ordered was wrong as per their size chart.

I called during the week to see if I needed an appointment, they said to just show up...which we did, my mother, my sisiter and one bridesmaid. The were quick to come to my aid. My sister showed a picture of a dress that was the style I was looking for and the sales lady sadi ''well who's this by?'' we had no clue and then she says 'well then how is this supposed to help me?' It was rude... It was the style of dress I was looking for, when I told her my budget she seemed huffy about it and told me that I could not afford the type of dress I was looking for. They set me up in a dressing room with another brides dresses in it. She left me alone to get into the dresses and I had to call out to her when I needed help. She seemed annoyed by the fact that mom and bridesmaids were giving they're opinions...

I did not feel special there, I tried on 4 dresses and will never go back. I bought my dress elsewhere that day.

This was my worst shopping experience ever!! The fact that we were buying 8 dresses might have encouraged some shops to provide good service but definitely not in this case. This shop is a zoo, it's disorganized and extremely chaotic. But even worse than that it's a complete SCAM. None of the dresses were properly fitted. One of my bridesmaids was charged an extra $80 to buy a larger dress and then charged an additional $150 to down size it (the dress itself was only $250). They have different seamstresses on staff that charge different prices and do vastly different calibers of work. There were mistakes made in the ordering of the dress sizes, which they took no responsibility for, and the girls were often left ignored and frustrated when they went for fittings even though they had made appointments. Honestly, don't shop here but if you do definitely get your alterations done elsewhere if you value your sanity and your wallet.

The salespersons will tell you certain things are included, but later on, they say it is not. So whatever she says to you, get it down on paper.
