Don't recommend this bridal salon! if you are looking for a pleasant experience, this place isn't it!! I wasted my time and money booking a vip appointment that was nothing but disappointing. Be aware of all the charges, there are a lot of hidden fees. They’ve been in business far too long to know how to perfectly scam people.

I was well taken care of by the enthusiastic staff and felt their sincerity on options.

WARNING!!! Brides, unless you are taking part in Say Yes To The Dress, please don't waist your time and your money. You're not taken to the same viewing area as what you see on TV. And the service? Forget about it! The lady who greeted us didn't even know I was her appointment, only to wander off and return 5 minutes later. I was rushed through the dresses and shown only dresses slightly out of my price range. I tried on a dress close to the end of the appointment. Didn't like the dress in the change room but wanted to show my mom and maid of honour. It was at that point I was told there was only 20 minutes left of the appointment. I felt pressured to choose between 2 dresses, and was encouraged the mermaid style looked good on my figure. In a split decision I chose the dress I didn't like in the change room because I was afraid of leaving without a dress...this one also happens to be $500 OVER MY BUDGET. For days after I had panick attacks thinking about the dress, and when I called, nobody answered. I left a message, and nobody called me back. I called again and got someone on the phone. I was told the order was placed and couldn't cancel, but she would reach out to the designer to see if there was anything they could do. I was willing to go with the same designer and fabric if it meant not losing out on my deposit. That was Tuesday evening. By Thursday I still hadn't heard back. Friday...still nothing. I called again, nobody answered. Left another message. Still no response. Another 2 days and still no contact with anyone. I'm willing to walk away from the deposit after this experience! I urge all brides to stay away from the costs of the expensive dress. If you're just looking for the "experience" it's not worth it! You can find a much nicer dress for half the cost at cheaper bridal boutiques.

My whole experience with this store is very similar to the rest of people on this site. In one word I would say it was horrible . Their customer service is so horrible . They don't care about their customers and only care about making money. But if a company has so many bad reviews and awful customer service it will eventually effect the business. One tip I would give anyone buying a dress would be to run from this store. I truly regret going to this store. I wish I never went to this store. I purchased a wedding dress from here which I regret. And the order was not even put through because it was put through on a Saturday at approximately 7 pm I would like to add it was long weekend in Canada and USA. The sale associate was very pushy and rude. You would think the sale associate would be nice and not a bitch but she was so bitchy. It seemed like she had an attitude problem. Her name was Daniella. She pretty much didn't care about what I liked and just brought what she wanted and kept saying that we must order something because there is no time. Honestly people shouldn't rush or harass people when they r making a big decision . To cut the story short I wanted to exchange the dress for something double the price. The manager Stephanie was so rude and was so unprofessional and kept saying no . When I told her I would like to speak to the owner she said there is no contact info for him. Which is impossible. She pretty much said too bad and couldn't care less. No customer service skills. She said u can lose $2500 and buy new dress or keep the dress and buy a new one. Wth these r not options. Neway the manager never spoke to me personally. This store is horrible. I think is family owned that's why everyone has attitude and r rude. Honestly so what u r on a dumb TV show . It doesn't give u the right to treat people like garbage. We r giving u money u should have some respect and class. Truthfully the have a really crappy wedding selection . Plz shop around. If u want ur wedding to be ruined like mine shop here.

I'm really disappointed by my whole wedding dress shopping experience! To the point where I bought a back up cocktail dress and begged to be out of my dress from Amanda Lina's the minute the photos were done! The dress was over a month late and arrived 2 weeks before my wedding, the wrong size was ordered, the alterations were awful! It was so large in the chest my breast popped out during the wedding...I was mortified! The waist was so tight I couldn't sit without pulling threads! I was told when I ordered my dress that it was going to arrive June 1st, the store size 8 fit perfect, but was too long! They measured me and came up with a size 14....it was a tent on me! Hence why the alterations didn't work! I was quoted 430 maximum for alterations and yet was made to pay 575.00 cause of the work that had to be done!

The worst thing was when your girls measured me your alterations lady grabbed my tummy pinched it in front of everyone at the front desk and said I don't like this...we have to hide this or lose weight! I actually told her back off that I am almost 40 years old and weigh 128 pounds I'm quite happy with my body! My mom wanted to slap this women for humiliating me! I hated the way I looked in my dream dress and I just wanted my wedding to be over and past me! Luckily all my guests knew the nightmare I went through and everyone was so supportive in just putting it past me and have a fun night! Even my venue felt so bad for me they bought us a gift!

I emailed your store, I asked to speak to a manager at one of my fittings and nothing but I got yelled and told the dress was good and sent on my way! After I had paid close to 3000 for my dress and alterations! Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced....you don't care about your customers at all! You just push them out and want your sales! To future brides do yourself a favour shop a small boutique, I did for my cocktail dress and realized that when a small store realizes one customer word of mouth and sale can make or break a business they will treat you fair and with respect! I can recommend some of the best stores and sweet sales girls to see in Newmarket, Woodbridge and Vaughan. At 39 years old I never thought I would be body shamed by a sales rep and an alterations person but that's all I got! I left your store heartbroken, in tears and absolutely ashamed!

Along with my eldest daughter and 2 other daughters we went to our first time wedding dress shopping trip. First stop was at a sale at Amanda Lina Bridal Boutique. After trying on 4 or 5 the “The One” was chosen. The sale person was very pleasant and attentive and it was a very enjoyable time. The cost of the dress had a sale price of $1,000+, and was told alterations would cost approx. $300

2 weeks later – 8 pm - 1st appointment
Sat in the waiting area for 25 minutes as they were “running behind”.
The seamstress r rushed in the dressing room and pinned the dress. After 10 minutes we were asked to leave as other customers “were waiting”. Feeling very rushed I insisted on having the full 30 minutes, we asked to try on veils. Then went to Reception to pay for alterations & was told the cost was $500 + $150, tho’ Reception could not explain the reason for the $150. Totally shocked at the price and after much discussion with staff was told they would not charge the $150.

3 weeks later 8 pm - 2nd appointment
Was advised, they had been very busy the past couple of weeks and alterations had not been done so and had to wait 45 minutes.
Dress fit perfect except around buttocks. Was told because $150 was not paid, no alterations had been made to that area. I and my 3 daughters insisted no-one had said the $150 was for the buttock area. I explained nobody would ever agree to have a dress half altered. I asked to speak to the Manager, who turned out to be the owner. She was extremely rude and insisted we could not have been told the cost of alteration would be approx. $300. However, after checking who sold us the dress she admitted the sales person was new and perhaps didn’t know the cost of alterations.
I explained if I knew about alteration costs up front we still may have bought from them but would certainly have shopped around first. After a heated discussion, and after purchasing a $350 veil, the Owner offered to take $100 off the veil and $50 off the alterations.

2 weeks later 3pm - 3rd appointment.
On arrival was told the appointment had never been made in their calendar – therefore the dress had not been altered. The Receptionist tried to contact the Owner who conveniently was “not available”. Reception booked an appointment for another day.

2 days later
Took home the dress and the veil

I visited Amanda Lina's for my first dress appointment. The experience I had was horrible. The consultant with me did not want to be there & she was snotty and rude to my mom and friend. I am not an overly sensitive person at all, nor do I usually let people with poor attitudes get to me, but I WAS NOT impressed with the service there. There was a dress I absolutely loved, and because I was so disgusted with the service I will not buy from Amanda Lina's.

I bought my wedding dress here 3 years ago (before they were on say Yes to The Dress Canada) and they were great. The service and people. Since they went on that show, their customer service has gone down hill immensely. My family has been shopping here for over 6 years and I recently took my best friend to get her wedding dress here, just to leave extremely upset and dissatisifed with the way they operate now. WIll defiitenly find a real boutique to shop at for future weddings.

I went to Amanda-Lina's today with my Daughter and her future Mother-in-law. We were greeted at the door by the friendly receptionist who introduced us to Daniela, my Daughter's consultant. Daniela was extremely efficient and excellent in her knowledge of what gowns would suit my Daughter's figure type the best. She picked the perfect gown, along with a beautiful chapel veil that complemented the dress. My Daughter said "Yes to the Dress" and got to ring the bell! Daniela made the appointment a lovely experience for the three of us and will be a beautiful memory to treasure forever.

I purchased my wedding gown from Amanda-Lina's and I was very happy with my experience. I arrived at the store and was met by the friendly receptionist who indroduced me to my consultant Daniela. I would highly recommend Daniela she was very professional and knowledgeable and picked the perfect gown for me. She was not pushy and made me feel very special. The store is beautiful with nice decor and large fitting rooms. I said yes to the dress and would highly recommend this store to any future brides. I traveled a hour from Kitchener Waterloo to purchase my dress there and it was worth the drive :)

I recently ordered my wedding dress from Amanda.Linas and had such an incredible experience I wanted to share my story. My stylist Erika was wonderful and very professional. Being a plus size bride I am very self conscious but Erika made me feel very comfortable and I soon forgot my size and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Other stylist at the salon were happy to help and had nothing but great things to say about how I looked in the dress I chose. Joseph was also incredible and helped my self confidence to soar. I would highly recommend visiting Amandalinas when looking for a wedding dress. What an incredible team. I can't wait to go back for my fittings.

BRIDES DO NOT BY YOUR WEDDING DRESS OR ANY DRESS FROM AMANDA-LINA'S BRIDAL BOUTIQUE WOODBRIDGE YOU WILL BE SORRY!

If you want to be sad and disappointed dealing with inconsistent, rude, staff members and owner then go ahead. This so called "Boutique" that should be out of business as far as I'm concerned ordered a dress that was not like the one that was tried on, it was cheap looking, where the staff even agreed when they saw the 2 dresses together. They won't give you back your deposit and don't care that you are a crying bride and getting married in 2 months with NO DRESS! Absolutely disgusting! this place should be shut down! Don't look at how nice the dress is, because you may not even get the one you like and order and their prices are not that good either! If you want this beautiful experience as a bride ruined for you, then attempt to buy from Amanda-Lina's, but I am forewarning you all, you will have a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! They don't even deserve a star 1/2 star, no star, but in order to post, that must be populated!

Our experience was wonderful when I took my daughter to look for a prom dress. When we arrived the girl at the entrance added our name to the wait list for a consultant / dressing room. She was very nice and helpful when I asked her several questions. She did not rush me or brush me off and the store was extremely busy as so close to prom season. I wish I had gotten her name. Our consultant's name was Sofia and I cannot say enough nice things about her...she didn't rush us and gave excellent advise. She was so genuine and interested in making sure my daughter was happy with her dress. When we were walking out, my daughter said that was the most amazing experience, and coming from a 17 year who had been looking for a prom dress for two months, this was great.

The location is far from my house. The place was decent with a variety of styles old and new. Customer service was horrible though! Dimitra was the sales associate that was supposedly "helping" me out but I wouldn't say she was helpful. She had such an attitude with me and not very pleasant. It was one of the first places I went to and it was a terrible experience. She did not stay with me or my bridesmaid. She did not assist in anyway. I had to ask my bridesmaid to help me in the dresses when I was trying them on, she did not even offer to help. She did not care. Worse of all I felt like I was pressured into buying a dress I did not want. I was in the change room and wanted some time to think about it and she just rushed me. Stay away from this place. They will sell you anything and not care just as long as they are making money! they don't care about your experience!

Don't buy your dress here!!!! Do your research first and you'll see that they are over priced. There is a reason you are not allowed to take pictures or know who the designer of your dress is and that's because they don't want you to compare prices. I recognized a few of the dresses I was put in and I looked online (best for brides) was far cheaper. Just be aware before you buy your dress there.

Very surprised with all the negative reviews. Bought my gown in August of 2015 and was nothing but amazed. I had Christina as my consultant and she was fantastic. Knew exactly what I wanted and what looked best on me. I initially wasn't into the dress shopping thing, but that quickly changed once I got there. Would highly recommend this boutique.

SERVICE AT AMANDALINAS IS TERRIBLE. EVERYONE IS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. YOU WOULD THINK BECAUSE YOU ARE SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY ALTERATIONS THAT THEY WOULD BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR DRESS BUT THEY ARE NOT. THIS IS A PICTURE I TOOK OF A WEDDING DRESS THROWN ONTO THE FLOOR WHILE IT WAS BEING ALTERED RIGHT AT THE ENTRANCE.

I walked into the store and walked out a few minutes later. The women there treated me with such disrespect and made me feel so unwelcome. I had an awful experience. The woman at the desk looked angry and seemed surprised when I said that I wanted to try on dresses. They did not seem helpful at all. Don't shop here!

I went into the store the other day to look for a bridal gown with my mom and one of my bridesmaids. I tried on a number of gowns, and finally found one that I really liked and so did my entourage. We were almost considering to purchase but one thing that refrained us from doing so was the staffs' bad attitude. My mom felt very uncomfortable as the staffs were quite rude to her. We visited a number of bridal stores and we've never experience such bad customer service. In the end we didn't end up buying the dress because we weren't happy with the people there. It is totally different from what you see on "say yes to the dress" show.

I went in today to look for a mother of the bride wedding gown. No one looked up when I came in. I asked one of the rude staff to direct me to a certain colour gown and she pointed to a rack. I went over there by myself to look at the gowns. All of the gowns are covered in zipped up plastic covers which makes it extremely difficult to see. No one bothered to ask what style of gown I was interested in, what kind of event I was buying it for, when was the event, etc. They didn't ask one single question. I was so frustrated trying to look at the gowns and angry that not one of the staff (and they weren't busy) cared to help me. I finally decided to leave and thought that maybe now someone would try to stop me and say, "is there something I can help you with?" --NOTHING. Many of my friends and family are in the same position as me (i.e. kids are getting married, going to weddings) and will be looking for a gown/dress. I will make sure to tell them to stay clear of this place. I have been to numerous bridal boutiques in the city, and have been very happy with the service they have provided for me. This boutique doesn't deserve anyone's business. I would have given this zero stars if it would have allowed me, so I had no choice and gave it one--one too many.

NEVER go to this place, If I could give it a lower star rating I would. It started off with a salesperson was too busy talking to her co-worker to help me. I had to pull my own dresses and put them into the room myself. I was only allowed to try on dresses that were in my size or laced up the back. (I guess they can't order in other sizes)

When I found a dress I liked she said it would look even better when I lost weight. Are you kidding me? Sorry I'm not a size 2, I have a chest and a butt. Both things that I quite like and don't plan on changing. I asked her to put the dress on the rack while I tried on other gowns and she told me to toss it in the corner of the room on the floor.

Then I had a dress on that I needed help with but she had taken off to talk to her co-worker again. I had to get my mother to come into the room and help me.

I left the store while my mother was getting the style number for the dress and the salesperson said to her "I could tell she was a princess" and you can tell that wasn't meant as a compliment.

This should be a self serve store where they pay the bride instead of a useless so called "salesperson" since you have to do everything yourself anyway. Plus you wouldn't have to suffer through their ignorance and insults.

I haven't a clue how they were chosen to host "Say Yes to the Dress Canada" I refuse to watch the show just because it's filmed in this store.

When I had first visited this store in February and found and purchased my prom dress, everyone was completely rude. No one offered help. No one had greeted me when my mom and I walked in; the closest thing we got to a greeting was an employee walking by and saying "take off your shoes!" 3 or 4 employees were all standing around drinking Tim Hortons so my mom and I looked by ourselves. The store only had size 8 or 10 dresses so I could not envision them on me, they didnt even pin it or anything to help me. I'm a size 2 so it was a really big inconvenience to not have at least a couple of small sizes of dresses; it was understandable if they didn't carry them but it would have been nice to have some help, like to pin the dress or anything. I had fallen in love with one of the dresses and I just had to go with my gut and I'm lucky that I
I actually like it now that I've seen what it will look like.

My second visit at this store was when my dress had come in, 2 and a half months later. The owner had called me and told me I had to make an appt. so when I was about to, she then said "Oh no, you dont have to, just call us the day of and say you're coming." So that was obviously what I was going to do. My mom was working all week except for one Monday, so that's when we decided to go. I called the store on the way, and the girl on the phone told us we needed to make an appt. in order to see a seamstress since they were only in the store Tuesday-Friday. I had said that the owner told me we didn't need one. Then the girl told me "if you don't need an appt. with a seamstress you can come today, but if you do then you can't come in today." I was extremely angry that the owner had not told me this from the get-go. As the owner, she should have been more clear. Since we had already made it more than halfway there we decided to go anyway. When I got there I decided to try the dress on anyway, and when I did, it was a size 4 when my mom and I wanted it in a size 2. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, we had to make another appt. to see a seamstress since the dress needed alterations, now that were desperately needed. Having to come back a third time, a week more than I should've was ridiculous, since I live quite far from Woodbridge.

During the third visit, one month from my prom, the seamstress was trying to charge my mom $175 for extra alterations when they were the ones that messed up the measurements. (My dress was $240, we would have paid $197 in alterations after taxes). She was arguing that she wasn't going to bring down the price. She ended up getting one of the head ladies who turned out to be actually nice (the only nice one there my mom and I found) and she brought down the price a bit for the inconvenience.

During my second visit when we had ORIGINALLY planned to have our appt. with the seamstress, one of the quieter ladies who felt bad told us not to worry about waiting another week for an appt. with a seamstress because "alterations won't take that long, no more than 2-3 days so you can pick it up shortly after." When we had my measurements taken finally, a week later at my rescheduled appt., the head lady was arranging when to come for my next fitting. She says, "Okay so we have to put you in in two weeks from now because all of the brides have booked up our appts. for the next few weeks because the warm weather is coming so they need their dresses" which was completely ridiculous. I would have my dress only 3 weeks from my prom when I was told otherwise. The scariest thing about this was when my mom and I ordered the dress the first visit, it was originally supposed to come in just one week from my prom. My mom put a $50 rush on it just so we could have it earlier to not risk anything. If she hadn't put a rush on it, with all the inconveniences and prolonged events, I may not have had a prom dress at all.

This store was a complete mistake to visit, if I'd known that this was how I'd be treated, I would not have come here. The staff have not accommodated, or even been the least bit friendly. I found that no one knew what they were doing since there were constant speculations and inconveniences. The fact that this store is on Say Yes to the Dress Canada (which is why I wanted to go here), makes me incredibly angry because they don't deserve to be putting out good expectations when they cannot meet them.

Overall this store should invest in better dress sizes, systems, and staff. I will recommend to anyone and everyone I know to never come to this store. My prom dress experience has been miserable, I have not enjoyed myself one bit. I wish I could turn back time because I strongly hate this store.
