I am so proud of my new car . The new design is just over the top . Really surprised about how much space we have for moving inside . We both are big guys , and space is a must ! They really make our life's easier by redoing the entire design . As you can tell , I am really in love with my new acquisition . Thanks to my product advisor Lisa Tu from downtown toyota and the entire team who makes our life easier . Big hugs to you guys , you are the best ! Larry Marcotte .

We purchased a new Corolla 2016. We were very impressed about the customer service at Downtown Toyota, we just walking in and being greeted.
Lisa Tu was our amazing sales representative. She was very polite and answered all questions and she provided us all the information that we asked for.
I would recommended this place to a family member or a friend.
Thanks Downtown Toyota, we will be back.

My very first "almost"' brand new car came off this dealership's lot in 1992 ! It was a Corolla LSX and I loved it !! One day while driving up the DVP, the hood popped open (thankfully the safety catch caught it and it never fully flew up), but I almost had a heart attack. Panicked I went into the dealership (never called) and a mechanic came out and fixed it within seconds - he was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. Right off the bat I was impressed with the service and consideration for frazzled lady LOL. I kept this car and drove it extensively until I sold it with almost 200,000 kms on it and it never gave me any major problems in the 12 yrs I owned it. I was very sad to let it go, but it was time to move on. My next purchase was another Corolla from a different dealership (they had the colour I wanted). Will not go into details, but it was the worst experience ever !! I told them I was going to bring it to Downtown Toyota to have my guy look at it to make absolutely sure all was ok (as I didn't trust them) and sure enough the car had been in a bad accident, had numerous repairs done and they never once, not once did they mention that to me before I bought it !! I immediately took it back to the west end dealership and they spent hours+ fixing every single thing after I gave them what for !! That car was also driven extensively and was sold to a good friend who knew it was well cared for and maintained - again by Downtown Toyota. My next vehicle was a toss up between a second hand or brand new and I decided to go big or go home - BRAND NEW it was. Never once did I have to decide where to go - Downtown Toyota was it for another Corolla with all the bells and whistles !! The salesman was awesome, the staff wonderful, the experience informative and not once did they make me feel that I was asking silly questions or being difficult. My new 2009 Corolla and I have been taken care of beautifully from a simple oil change, to new wipers, tire changes, storage - you name it ! They are very accommodating and professional each and every time I go in, they call for reminders - help me out when I'm in a jam and have become friends for life. From the front end service guys and gals, to the parts desk, to the manager(s) and yes, even the coffee/tea people. They have all been wonderful. Yes the dealership has been renovated, some of the staff have changed, but the heart and soul is still there and I wouldn't go anywhere else !! I have been going to Downtown Toyota for over 23 yrs and will continue to do so as long as I drive a Toyota !!

I have purchased 2 vehicles in the last 3 years from downtown toyota. Both the sales and sercive staff are very friendly and knowledgebale. Service staff go out of the way to provide the most information they can regarding the recommended care for your vehicle. I have had my vehicle serviced at another toytoa delership and I must say that downtown toyta personelle are much more informative. During my most recent serivice for one of my vehicles I was provided with a complete 5 year recommended serivce guide with detailed despriptions of what would be perfomed during each service without me asking for it. The service staff do work to make you feel welcomed as an individual . The service manager is also very pleasant and has an open door policy he does not hesitate to meet with clients and provide clarifications or assistance. I would certaninly recommend this dealership for both sales and service to my friends and family.

My husband and I met Mr. Weilbert Ma in the dealership parking lot while he was talking on the phone. He appeared as a customer to us. My husband approached him and he quickly put off the phone and turned to us asking and explaining the different type of cars we were asking for. Mr. Ma was friendly with knowledgeable information about cars. He waited no further and started taking us into the show room. After a bit of discussion, my husband asked for pricing of the Toyota Corolla 2014. We wanted to compare the price difference between Corolla versus hybrid cars. Upon Mr. Ma's returned, we asked to quote the Toyota Prius V. He waited no further and quickly went to quote the best possible price for the Prius V. After a bit discussion, my husband and I decided to go with Prius V but since it was too pricey, we asked for discount. Mr. Ma understood and went asking for deeper discount. Another time coming back, we did not agree because it was still pricey. During this pricing process by going back and forth between his boss and us, Mr. Ma showed no temper except his professional manner. His patience, friendly personality and willingness for price negotiations had won our decisions even thought it was still pricey than we initially came for. We decided to purchase the Prius V 2014. After the decision, it was to our surprise Mr. Ma came back offering us a free paint coating as an appreciation gift. We were happy knowing that we will be able to get our new car in the next 3 days with promised to provide the car with a small mileage. He even offered to pick us from home if we need a lift on that date. Mr. Ma's service had left us with great trust. When we came for the new car, it was delivered as was promised with less than 30km on the car. This is the best car we ever own with the friendly service we have experience at this dealership. We would recommend Mr. Ma for anyone who are interested in purchasing cars as we all need great service and would love making our money worthwhile.

I suggest being wary and getting a second opinion on expensive repair estimates at this dealership! Instead of spending $1600 as estimated by Downtown Toyota service experts, our car only needed a $150 repair to correct the situation.

The Facts:
My son's 2003 Corolla failed emissions test Jan 2012 with high NOX. I chose the factory-trained experts at Downtown Toyota (in my son's home area - to start a dealership service relationship for him for future needs) to diagnose the problem.

My money (diagnostic fee ~$118 tax in) and my time ended up wasted; after having the car for 2 hours Toyota emissions specialist Technician said it needed a new Catalytic converter (~$1600 parts & labour). I investigated further before having the repair done, and the proper fix required ONLY a new oxygen sensor (~$150; installed by myself). The car subsequently passed emissions retest with great results!

Downtown Toyota’s only remedy to my complaint about this faulty diagnosis & overly expensive estimate was to offer a 20% discount on future parts and service expenditures - not leaving me or my son as satisfied customers!

I took my 2009 Matrix here for the 32,000 km service which was satisfactory and at a reasonable price. However my ederly neighbour had a different experience which has made me think twice about going back here for service.

She recently paid $2400 for servicing her 2006 Toyota Matrix with 50,000 km on the odometer which is a bit high, in my opinion. I know this for a fact as I had a chance to quickly review the bill. 2 new front tires and front rotors; a new water pump - they said the old one had a hole in it, according to my neighbour; $20 labour to change the air conditioning filter - should take about 5 minutes max; they also changed the automatic transmission fluid even when they told her it didn't need changing but she agreed to have it changed anyway - these are a few of the items on that repair bill. Based on this I would advise anyone dealing with the service department to be very careful about getting any work done here and demand to see any parts that were replaced. I certianly wouldn't let my mother go here unless I came with her!
