A COVID Wedding 06/10/2020
Like many, we were engaged mid 2019, shopped venues and confidently secured September 19th, 2020 at Chateau Le Jardin in Woodbridge. Little did anyone know what 2020 had in store.
In March we remained confident that the pandemic would pass/there would be cure well before our date, but as we started closing in on mid June, it was pretty clear this was not going anywhere and we needed to adapt to the conditions set our by our government and maintain public responsibility for our friends and family. The reality of having our ideal wedding at Chateau Le Jardin became unrealistic.
We held on for as long as we could, but a decision needed to be made if we were going to go forward in any capacity. We met again with Eugene regarding what options we had, and unless we wanted to move the date or have 50 people socially distanced inside their venue, it was not going to happen. Fortunately, our backyard, though in Pickering could act as a great option for a small crowd, but what about all the bells and whistles we want for our day???
We posed the question to Eugene who brought in Jennifer, Chateau Le Jardin’s Director of Special Events. It goes with out saying, but she took the ball and ran with it! We cannot express how happy we were that not only they would support us, but it was clear they would make this event one of there own.
Jennifer and Chateau Le Jardin’s President Julian came to our house for a site visit and frankly were more enthusiastic then we were. We mapped out the setting, different food options based on the ambiance of our yard, Julian even recommended that our late-night meal be cooked on the charcoal grill we have because why not!!! I cannot tell you how happy Daniella, my wife was after that meeting. Jennifer promptly followed up with a detailed rendering of the layout and off we went planning accordingly with the full support of our original venue, who frankly did not need to step up the way they did.
The set-up was seamless and extremely professional on the 18th. After our ceremony we arrived to Julian and his team in full stride. Not missing a beat at the bar, antipastos and making sure Daniella, my self and our family were well taken care of. The main course followed and was delicious. As the night progressed, they were on point with every planned component of the evening; from keeping everything clean, reacting to requests and making critical game time suggestions to add as much value as possible to our evening.
In conclusion, we could not have asked for a better, more professional group to work with for the most important day of our lives’! Our family and guests feel the same.

Thank you very much Julian, Jennifer and team. I do not know what we have done with out you!

Sincerely,

Brian and Daniella Glen

Wedding of our dreams!

We have been long time friends with the staff at Le Jardin, always doing functions there so I was not worried at all when it came to booking our wedding with them. Even though I knew what to expect, they some how were able to blow me away with the delicious food, amazing service and AMAZING staff through out the entire process!

Leading up to this day we dealt with many of the staff, some mentions are Eugene as our sales rep - he was always willing to do what we requested and made it very easy to deal with, MaryLou as our coordinator - she was very attentive, answered any question I had, at any time of the day! The set up staff was amazing, especially Myer! I left everything in his hands the day off, and was not disappointed! Our Maitre D for the night was amazing, making sure both me and my husband always had food and wine at our tables. The bartenders were amazing - made all the guests feel comfortable, special mention to Safi. We used the in-house DJ, Daniel from DJ Emporium - who did not disappoint, the dance floor was full until the lights came on at the end of the night. Max looked over the entire day and made sure everything was perfect. Overall the staff of Le Jardin went over and above any expectation I had to make my day perfect!!!

I used some outside vendors to make the hall look a little more bright and vibrant - I used Right Choice Linens for the drapes and the linens for the night, Event Grafitti for the vinyl white floor, White Oaks Flower for the beautiful flowers and credit to Mango Studios for the photos!

We used the front 3 halls (facing Highway 27) - considering having almost 400 guests, the hall was extremely spacious and did not feel tight at all.

The food was delicious - the guests are still talking about the food to this day, especially the deluxe anti pasto and deluxe seafood bar.

Overall - our day was perfect, all thanks to all the staff at Le Jardin and the amazing vendors!!

I highly recommend this hall for any functions, especially a wedding!

Our wedding was held July/13 at Le Jardin. While I will admit my decorator and planners made sure the venue was made to look gorgeous, we all knew deep down it was fake. All of it. The sales people, the waiter's, the event staff, all of them. Biggest fakers out there. It's taken me over a year to write one single review of this place because my memories are so tainted with disappointment. Also I had way more important things to take care of but someone asked me about them and this is what I said: I wish I could take it back. I wish I never called them at all. Wished mine and my family's hard earned money went to people who actually care. I wish our wedding could have been any where else but there, but I digress, we booked and paid A LOT of money for this venue. More than usual. Ripped off is putting it mildly. Their own staff (who I will not rat out because they're still unfortunately employed there) told us to our face we were ripped off. They provided A LOT of empty promises. Pro (our would be sales person turned"sales scam artist") was gone by the time our day came along, which never really mattered, he could care less about the customer's or the venue at all actually. We over paid by a long shot. The owner couldn't even figure out how & why we were quoted/paid differed so much. STILL have NEVER received a correct bill. My father in law just paid to be done with it and them. My staff made their venue look gorgeous. My planner cleaned the brides room before I got there and aired it out from whatever seemingly died in there the night before. You cannot take pictures in that room - it is, simply put - disgusting. Can't even fix a "waterfall" or glue down wall paper properly. Can't fix the air-conditioning. Paid a hairstylist over $600 for myself and my girls; stepped one step into the venue, hair gone. SO humid it was disgusting. We had half the food catered by THE HOST - and THANK GOODNESS. Venue food = gross. Host food - AMAZING (highly recommend). We literally threw out the take home container's and it was all Le Jardin food we took home. During the planning process, it took over 3 mths for "Pro" to agree to a food tasting, made us come for Sunday brunch to taste food that wasn't even going to be served at our wedding!! Rubbed in my face how much money it cost him to allow that to happen! The 2nd most important aspect of the day and the very 1st item on our request list (still have it saved so I know I'm not crazy) is that there was NOT to be pineapple what-so-ever at our wedding. The BRIDE is deathly allergic. It's written on every single piece of paper in the year-long meetings we had with them, not to mention the two-week meeting prior to the wedding - in bold black marker!! (I feel I should mention that my fiancee suffered a stroke 2 weeks prior to the wedding and NOT ONCE was a well wish or a good word put in). In fact, I was told my wedding was fast approaching and there were "more important" details to iron out, because G-D forbid we not figure out where to put the damn podium!! That's how much they care. That's how important they make you feel. Book a wedding planner for these types of phone calls. I digress...Fast forward to said wedding day....I'm hot and bothered (not in a good way), they didn't put the right amount of chairs out and made my guests stand for my ceremony - which delayed everything as well, LIED about the amount of ppl we could get in the foyer, LIED about how many could fit outside, did not have the room set up as to the guidelines of their own fancy template, food sucks, staff is curt and out-right rude to my 80 year old Grandma (who never ate a G-D thing because they LIED about her special mean being available), but what appears on my dessert table?? PINEAPPLE !!!!! What didn't come out of anyone's mouth (including the "head waiter") - an apology. Not even a small attempt it make it right. Not even one single offer of anything to make it right. Not once. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Even as I walked away from the table in tears afraid to even take pictures near the table. WE were made to feel badly that all that food would be wasted - which it wasn't. "Can't you just eat around it" was the question asked...Never a care or concern for the Bride and Groom for the entire process. I could have died but hey - the cheque cleared! Food was never touched by the Bride and Groom. Our own wedding - no dessert. Oh, cannot forget how we were followed out by a staff member, obviously looking for an additional tip - one I refused to pay since "Pro" made us pay it in advance!! But thanks for making sure we left! I would never ever recommend this venue. In fact, I have advised heavily against it several times over the last year or so. I just never wrote it down. I try and look back and remember the friends, my handsome hubby, our families together, and completely disregard Le Jardin from my mind, just like how they made us feel. Marrying my husband was the best decision I have ever made in my life - choosing Le Jardin as our venue for our day was the worst decision I have ever made. Don't make the same mistake - your day is far more special than Le Jardin will ever make you feel. (P.S. They make you pick a star, so I picked one).

What a beautiful place to bring family and friends. We have been here a few times over the years on Mother's Day. Every year the staff remain sincerely friendly, accommodating and efficient with providing great service with a smile. Seriously, you can only experience by eating here. The food is gorgeous! I recommend Le Jardin to all my friends and people I meet who are looking for a place to hold their wedding or even a corporate function. We've watched Le Jardin expand over the years and they just keep getting better! Thanks for making our family time a memorable experience Chateau Le Jardin!

I recently attended a company weekend party at this place. I and my friends were quite impressed by the venue and the service provided. It is a beautiful corporate space with a large centre room and high ceilings. There were many small rooms which were to be used in private. The main room was to be used for partying, having food, to dance etc. There were separate rooms for coffee and dessert, table games, seafood etc. What was in particular was that each room had its own bars. Anyone can never go wrong with lejardin’s corporate venue which had so many flexibility features. We definitely had an awesome time.

My company has been running annual events for last 4 consecutive years, each time for 2 days for 700 people. I have been to different venue but haven't seen any place like Chateau Le Jardin. The difference any place makes from it to another is the service, starting from the director, Sandro, who is always on top of everything with immediate response, event coordinator, Marylou, who emails me even after her working hours, manager, Max, who manages great team including Dino and Maria, and a gentleman at a coat check. Dino was quick with actions and responses, whenever I contact him, he showed up in person so fast. He always does his best to accommodate every need we had. We are confirmed to return to Le Jardin next year!! :D

We had our daughter's wedding at Chateau Le jardin this past weekend. We booked the Kosher Caterer. Everything was perfect. The room was spotless, the service impeccable and the food delicious. The bartenders were excellent and made wonderful martinis. The event co-ordinator and the sales person were both wonderful to work with. Our guests loved everything. We had our wedding rehearsal there and they catered a dinner there for the wedding party where we also had excellent food and service. I would highly recommend Chateau Le Jardin for any first class function.

This hall looks amazing, It's a real shame how they run. If you have any special dietary concerns, whether it be food allergies or types of food you do not want to served for religious reasons... I attended a wedding where the bride and groom put it in writing about not serving certain foods due to allergies. Despite this, the staff still managed to serve the foods that were taken off the menu in writing. When we contacted management about this that response was that they allow their kitchen staff to serve whatever they feel like during cocktail hours.

Room was too stuffed, didn't get the dessert we signed on the contract, didn't have access to the courtyard as my guests were jammed up against the doors, and some other upsetting small things. The staff was very kind and easy to work with. The room was beautiful and the waiters were very kind.

My daughter and her husband had their wedding reception at your wonderful and beautiful chateau. We were very happy with the hall and the decorations as well as the food that was served. Everything was top notch as we expected when my daughter and her husband signed the contract. I have nothing to say but kind and wonderful words for the service that was provided. However I do have one stigma that realy hit me very hard. When we discussed the issue of the remaining food with Gabriela, the Organizer at the time, we were told that all the food including the Salad bar, main course, sweet table, remaining wedding cake as well as the cheese and meat table would be packed for us to take with us home after the reception. We were mystified when only an handful of pastries, to be exact 23 of them and a couple of pieces of lemon cake were all that we got from the sweet table. From the Salad bar or the cheese and meat table we got nothing. The remaing wedding cake disppeared too. As for the main course we did get some steaks (8)and a few lobster tails (4). We also got some risoto and penne ala Vodka. No vegitables were given either. When I went to pay the remaing balance I put forward my concern and I was told that this would be given attention and that management would be aware of it. My daughter and her husband were very upset that the remaining wedding cake was not given to them. They only tasted it when they cut the cake and they expected that the remainder of the cake would be given to them. Both families showed their concern about the remaining food especially the wedding cake andthe sweet table.
I hope that his will not fall on deaf ears and an explanation will be given to us.

Yours truly
Joseph Farrugia

We had our dad's 65th birthday/retirement party June 9, 2012. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about the venue. The food was amazing, the service was exceptional, the price was very reasonable. This was our 2nd time hosting an event at Le Jardin. We were so happy with the 1st one that we went a 2nd time, and it's our top choice for future celebrations. We had no complaints whatsoever from our guests, which is gratifying.
