From Feb. 23rd until Mar. 1st, I had 4 appointments at Speedvale Dental. What first drew my attention to this wonderful clinic was the initial meeting with Dr. Fox at the Wellness Fair last December at Dublin United Church. We had chatted about my age old mercury fillings, old root canals & crowns & chipped teeth over the last few years, & I felt understood & listened to for the first time in a long time. I made a mental note.
My first appointment on the 23rd was the result of an already chipped molar of a large, older filling (mercury replaced already) when the filling became dislodged during flossing! Naturally, the tooth was now super sensitive, & that started our story at the clinic. They juggled the appointments to fit me in! My first appointment had the tooth temporarily protected, the super work done by one of his assistants, Nicole. The entire visit echoed the warmth & down to earth feeling I had with Dr. Fox back in December. The next day Dr Fox & another friendly assistant completely rebuilt that entire tooth. Once again the warmth, caring & wicked humour experienced the previous day ran rampant! I was actually on a bit of a high after leaving the appointment! I recall looking in the mirror right away thinking that I had not seen what must have been my original tooth prior to any fillings since I was a teen! The following appointment, during which Dr Fox was dressed as the tooth fairy ( LOL), had him using the SAFEST possible protocols removing a very large, old mercury filling in what was left of a chipped tooth then rebuilding that tooth & the adjacent chipped one. Once again, when I looked in the mirror, I could not believe what looked as if my original teeth were restored! This was better than I could even imagine considering that I cannot afford proper crowns at the moment!
My last appointment was for a long overdue teeth cleaning because I haven't fully trusted going elsewhere for 2 decades or more? What also impressed me is how holistically the clinic is run.Speedvale Dental has never used mercury fillings!
Kudos to the entire team at Speedvale Dental! The entire office staff echoes Dr. Fox's warmth, genuine down to earth approach & humour (so appealing), so I feel right at ease. During all 4 appointments, I heard laughter quite frequently coming from other rooms. A happy staff makes relaxed, happy patients!
I have found my new dental home! ♥
