Tradex Supply Ltd

My wife and I purchased a barbecue from Barbecues Galore, a sub company of Tradex. We had a problem getting a part that was damaged when they put it together. The part was not ordered, under warranty, until three months after our original request. They forgot to get the serial number from our unit in order to get the part under warranty (no follow up). We called the regional manager (Tradex Supply Ltd.) and he was very apologetic and said he would find out what went wrong. He sounded like he was very customer satisfaction oriented. In November we purchased a free standing fire place from the same people. We had a few problems with setting the installation date and getting the unit ordered. When we finally had the unit installed there were parts missing (they still are). The installation went very well, we were very happy with the installer. Then when we did the "burn off" of the unit there was a lot of smoke from the unit. We were told that there would be very little if any smoke. We called the regional manager and told him of the problem with the smoke, which filled our house, even with all the windows open and we were told that this was normal. Well if it was so normal why did they not tell us that in the first place. The missing parts do not prevent use of the unit, but it is incomplete and given the problems we had with the barbeque we decided to wait for the parts to be installed befor paying for the unit. We have had no calls from the regional manager or anyone from the store with regards to the problems we have had, not a single call to see if everything is OK or if the unit is still running or if we are having any more problems. Well we are having a major problem with the regional manager and his lack of concern for his customers. Yesterday we got the invoice in the mail with the statement saying the bill has been paid in full. They charged my credit card, that was used for the deposit, without even a call to ensure that everything was OK. Well it is not OK and we would not recommend buying anything from Barbecues Galore or anything from any company owned and operated by Tradex Supply Ltd.
