I went to lunch at Duc de Lorraine with friends. There was no menu posted at the door. Upon entering, we were greeted by very amenable waiters who didn't present us with a menu but chose to explain what was offered ORALLY . . . without giving prices. I occasionally frequented this establishment so expected the prices to be in line with the lunches I usually took there. Lo and behold, the total cost of 1 soup, 1 small salmon dish, 1 pastry and 1 coffee came up to over $40.00 - hardly what you would expect from a lunch café. A TOTAL RIP-OFF in consideration for what I got as a meal.

Service Execellent.

Mmm yummy, tasty, delicious....everything you can say about the best quality pastry and sandwiches. I absolutely adore the almond croissants and their fruit tarts. Every morning I can not start without grabbing one of these and my latte of course! Thank you, boys!

Very tasty croissants and extremely well prepared coffee. I don't know exactly what they do there at Duc de Lorraine but their pastry keeps getting better, along with service. Guys greet me every time I come like if I am the first time visitor. Also love the cote-des-neiges cheese cake.

Prices for coffees might be a bit steep... $4 for a black coffee but it's totally worth it! One the best tastes in town! Amazing selection of pastries and the room has a fun bustling cafe vibe most times. The salads are a highlight and it's a great place to grab a table and have lunch (there is table service) or grab something to go

I work near that place and every time I have a minute for a coffee and a croissant, thats where I go. So much love for Duc de Lorraine. Everything is just perfect(maybe for me), you have to try it to compare to others. It is something different in that boring Montreal.

My favorite place to take a little break and to drink some good coffee, Duc de Lorraine. People are scared to try something different in Montreal. I recommend it (by the numbers of times I tried it), nice people, good prices, fresh food.

Tried similar places to this one, and didn’t appreciate them as much as Duc de Lorraine. Wonderful place to spend some time with your friends. Great staff, quality service, nice location (near metro). The best one so far.
