Very efficient with setting us up. Units are clean and well lit. Loading dock outside needs more lighting. I found it to be very dark when we came after sunset.
Diane provides truly exceptional customer service. From the moment we walked in, she offered a warm welcome that made us feel instantly comfortable and valued. She was incredibly patient with us, taking the time to thoroughly answer every single question we had, ensuring we understood all the details.
Diane expertly explained the entire rental process in a clear, easy-to-understand manner, which significantly reduced any stress. Her professionalism, combined with her friendly demeanour and attention to detail, made the experience seamless. It was also apparent that she and her team take great pride in their work, as the facility was notably clean and well-maintained.
Diane is an outstanding employee who consistently goes above and beyond to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Highly recommended!

I have had a storage unit here for several years - very convenient, extremely friendly staff (Diana was amazing to deal with). Clean units, carts are always available!
Diana was super helpful and efficient from start to finish. She made the whole process easy and stress-free, and her customer service was excellent. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of quickly.
Ronny was amazing! Super helpful and kind. Answered all my questions and more. I definitely recommend this location especially if Ronny is working that day. He was busy but showed me around the units I was interested in.

Very clean and organized storage units. We are thankful to Catherine who gave us a very detailed and informative tour of the units we were interested in. All questions were answered and we were able begin bringing our boxes in that same day. Thank you Catherine for all of your hard work. We appreciate all you did in making this process smooth and seamless :)
The manager Catherine was a great representative of an exceptional company. She showed us around the facility, showed us 2 different storage units and made understanding of the process of having a storage unit easy. She reviewed all payments, procedures and was very nice. I highly recommend shopping with SmartShop and would refer them to a friend.
Since they deleted my last 3 star review- AVOID THIS SMART STOP if Catherine is still managing this facility. They do Not honour their promotions. I was supposed to have 6 months 50% off, they charged me regular price in month 4 THEN try to charge me 300 after moving my items. Note that this is my latest complaint and altercation. Catherine has constantly messed up my account several times in a span of 6 months. Store your stuff at a different location.
I signed up on the promotional rate in August - 1st month free and 6 months 50% off.
I called in and spoke with the manager, Catherine, in January because they were charging me a regular rate of $282.90, Catherine assured me my promotional rate had concluded, so I paid. After checking my account, I noticed January would have been the 5th month.
After speaking with a kind and knowledgeable employee, Diane- she had the amount sent off to her manager's manager to have the rate corrected.
However, calling back to pay my account, Catherine told me to pay the balance, and they would give me a credit- WHY WOULD I DO THAT WHEN YOU OWE ME $198 before taxes Catherine then tells me they are NOT going to honour the 6th month of 50% off.
After waking up to a payment of $282 and calling in to dispute it- and her telling me to pay the account and then receive a credit, then claiming that I misunderstood her and what she meant was she will only be charging me the amount due on the account. Ok ma'am, what's that amount? Still the wrong amount Catherine, and this is the manager? So I had to call customer service and request the District Manager.
They do not honour the Aboriginal tax exempt. But please continue to profit on our land without honoring the Canadian Government's Treaty
I really hope I do not need to hire legal counsel to get my belongings since I notified them prior to my bill's due date.
Catherine has had me drive 30 minutes there and back to come and settle their payment error, only to be turned away with her remark 'Well sorry to wasted the drive and was given incorrect information."
Catherine called me to come and switch my lock around because it was facing the wrong way.
As a manager, there is no excuse for poor customer service.
Note there is always broken glass, broken furniture and endless coffee cups at the loading docks and never any garbage outside of the restrooms. The service elevator in the 4 months I've stored my belongings here was always out of service (broken).

Excellent customer service. Very clean units and temperature controlled. Great location right off the highway. Highly recommended and would definitely use again. Catherine is so helpful and her customer service is beyond and up above expectations.
We have been using Smart Stop for a while now and they have been amazing! No issues ever, I especially love the communication from the moment you reserve to renting. In terms of the storages it is so easy to use and secured. The service is amazing, thank you Catherine and Diana for making everything so easy for us. Smart Stop Granite Court 5/5! 😊

Diana and Catherine were amazing! Very professional and friendly. They helped us pick the right storage unit and showed us around so that we are ready to move our stuff in. My first experience in renting a storage was the best because of these two beautiful ladies. Thank you!
Catherine was an absolutely pleasure to deal with. Units are clean and the service is terrific. I would absolutely recommend this location for anyone looking for a short/long term rental unit.
I walked in without an appointment and dealt with Catherine. She was wonderful to deal with. Very friendly and welcoming and didn't rush me while I was there. I went to the SmartStop Storage in Pickering and it's Diana's first day and I have to tell you she did an awesome job at making me feel so relaxed and welcome. I got my unit and I feel so completely happy. I am homeless but my things will have a home
