Bo Bebe Crowfoot, Calgary Reviews (14)
Started shopping at Market Mall location. great Knowledgable staff. Excellent service
Couldn't agree more with all these negative comments regarding Bo Bebe! Go to E- Children!
I just found out that Bo bebe Crowfoot is closing and was very dissapointed to hear this. We are about to have our first baby, and have made many to trip to this location, as well as many other baby stores throughout the city. In the end we ended up buying our Peg Perago car seat and our Naturpedic crib mattress through Bo bebe Crowfoot. The amount of time their staff was willing to spend with us was amazing. One sunday when we were in there the owner actually gathered groups of people together that were browsing to give them little tutorials on what to look for in Car seats, mattresses, cribs, and strollers. We didn't feel pressure to buy anything and left with a ton of information, and then went back to buy a couple of the items the following week. I really am shocked at some of the comments on here about bad service from this store. Everytime i've been in there has been a really good experience.
On a side note, I'm all for shopping around to other baby stores as well, Bo bebe is pricey in general, but the quality is top notch, the question is; do you REALLY need to spend 700 bucks or more to get a good crib, answer = no you don't. He was even upfront with us about this, and explained why its better to spend more on a great quality mattress rather than a pricey crib, even though all he carries are pricey cribs. So you need to compare and do your own homework. E children is where we found a crib to buy, only due to price. They're service is decent, but not nearly the knowledge offered nor the attention we got at Bo bebe crowfoot. And Kacz kids in the deerfoot outlet mall was another place with fantastic costumer service, but now they're closing as well...grrrr.
I hope that the owners of the Crowfoot Bo-bebe location are able to find another spot to reopen their store!

We purchased a crib and a mattress from bo bebe Southcentre on Dec 26. Our experience in the store was awesome, lots of product knowledge and suggestions, and I figured I would be shopping there a lot.
I didn't realize at the time that the bo bebe chain was a franchise, otherwise I wouldn't have had such high expectations of the Westhills location... however... I special ordered a bedding set at Westhills shortly after that, only to be directed by a friend to the Health Canada website, which informs parents not to use bumper pads because they are believed to cause SIDS. When I went to return the bedding set, I was told I couldn't return it because it was a special order. I asked why they didn't feel the need to inform me of the warnings at the time of purchase so I could make an informed choice, and I was told by the store manager that "they assumed I knew what I was doing because I knew which style I wanted". I think it's fair to say you can't assume anything about anyone... but I'm over it. At the end of the day I have a $300 bedding set, of which I will only use half of the contents. And that's the last time I'll be shopping at bo bebe Westhills.
So, back to the Southcentre location -- the crib came in a couple of weeks ago, within the 8-12 week window we were given. When we went to put the crib together, it was missing the hardware. So, we are in touch with bo bebe and they are trying to have the hardware sent to us.
The mattress we ordered apparently was caught up at the border, and we are waiting for it to clear customs. The mattress is about a week late (given the 12 week window).
So, at the Southcentre location, the products we ordered are showing up either defective or late, but at the same time, bo bebe has been pretty good about keeping in contact. The salespeople do return phone calls and seem to be doing the best they can. You can chalk it up to "a bit of bad luck" with the products we ordered, but at the same time, I am curious to see if bo bebe gives us some incentive to shop there again -- without it I do not think we will "risk" it, despite how nice the sales people have been. I guess there are some issues they need to sort out with their suppliers, but that's not our problem, it's theirs.
As an aside, we ordered our stroller and car seat from e children, and we had a great experience there -- the stroller was in stock and the carseat came in early, and the same great product knowldege and recommendations, so we have already gone back there to spend more money.
Good luck to all the future Moms and Dads sorting through all this stuff! It's not easy!

I was immediately drawn to Bo Bebe for their commitment and the quality in which they prided themselves on. Unfortunately my experience with them was not what I expected. It began with the baby furniture I ordered. When I ordered the furniture I was told it would arrive in 6-8weeks (which was perfect because I was due in 8 weeks so a couple weeks using a basinet, if I had to, was fine). It had been 8 weeks and I hadn't heard from them so I called Bo Bebe to follow up on the status of my order. At that time I was told that they never are able to receive orders in 6-8weeks, and that it was always 10-12 weeks. When I explained to the lady that I was told 6-8 weeks, she rudely told me that no one would ever tell me that (as if I was a liar). I was very disappointed as I was about to have my baby any day and it was going to be at least another month or so before I got my furniture. As it turns out the furniture took 14 weeks to arrive (because it was supposibly on 'back order' for so long). I was incredibly disappointed. When I asked for some sort of compensation (or compassion for that matter) I was given nothing and was treated very rudely! It's very unfortunate but I definitely would NOT recommend Bo Bebe to anyone.
Contacted Leah and Husband over 25 times to pay vendor invoices overdue one and a half years (18 months).
Six invoices were finally paid and three were never paid.

I am amazed how easy it is to bash somebody in the internet, I am curious if there are any possibilities of this type of posting (regarding personal financial details, whether true or not, I have no idea)...and whether this can constitute slander or breach of anything? Of course, if it is NOT true at all, then by having a person's personal name added to this business post makes it both acontrary to business and a personal, slanderous post.
Is that not grounds for a lawsuit?
Just curious.

Just go to Kacz's Kids. The owners are always there and know EVERYTHING about every product they sell. Competitive prices on quality items, and guaranteed service. They are there to SERVICE their customers and make them happy. I wouldn't bother going elsewhere.
We have bought several big ticket items from Bo Baby and were very pleased. We were helped with our first baby items by the owner who proved very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. We were very pleased. When a recall was issued many months later for one of our items, they were waiting with a replacement for us. We recently purchased another big ticket item (crib) for our second child and were also very pleased with the service and product knowledge.
I look for a store with very good products, good service and knowledgeable staff (both about their products, other products) so they are able to help me with what best suits my needs - we found all of this at this store. I don't want to spend lots of time shopping around at every store in the province, and they have a very good selection of good products.
My only poor experience with this store was during the BPA recalls for plastic bottles a few years ago, when this store was one of the only stores to refuse to allow returns to the manufacturer. This was very disappointing, especially when the person I spoke to insisted that the BPA danger was unproven. Many many other stores (including Toys R Us, Walmart, etc) allowed returns without any problems. This is why I cannot give this store a 5 star rating - in this circumstance good customer service should have included some kind of response to this issue. Otherwise our experience has been outstanding.

I went to bo bebe at crowfoot location in Calgary to buy a bed for my baby. I saw a bed that advertised as firm and soft. My wife ordered one. When we recieved it and open and test it, both side felt firm. I was expecting something like soft and foaming on one side and the other firm, but both side felt firm. We got it exchange for another one that would give us a soft and firm side, but when we got it, it was the same firmness on both side, but this time it has a sticker on one side that said firm on it. To me both side felt the same. We switched to a higher price to get a different soft and firm bed, but got the same firmness as the other one with a higher price tag. I felt that we got ripped off. I would not shop at this store again. The manager said we can not get a refund because it was opened. What a disappointment.
My wife and I had a terrible experience with bo bebe. Nice products, but their customer service is beyond ridiculous. They demonstrated extremely poor communication between staff members as our furniture order was mishandled. They said the error was made on the part of the manufacturer, but one of their staff made the mistake of telling us that other customers who ordered after us would be receiving their furniture first (we were told this twice by someone high up in the company, but then they denied it). They offered a gift certificate without conditions to compensate us, but after we complained about their service, they told us since they delivered the furniture (five months after we ordered), they would not give us the gift certificate.
A very troubling experience all around. Please be careful shopping at bo bebe.

I cannot be the only one to notice that the first two reviews are almost IDENTICAL (cut and paste much?)??? They are so OBVIOUSLY written by an owner or manager of bobebe! How stupid do these people think we are? I think it is brutal to slam two other good stores in order to try to save their own crappy reputation. Nice try bobebe.
I will delete the identical non -member review.. it is clearly a duplicate.

our experience at bo bebe has always been amazing! The product knowledge is unbeatable in Calgary. In fact, we visited several competing stores (e-children, mom store (who looks like is out of business at Chinook, thank god we didn't buy our stroller from them!) and we were ultra impressed with bo bebe. At e-children they could not collapse or show us the valco stroller properly, the staff member clumsily faked her way through it. At Mommy Store, they had 3 strollers to choose from, zero staff approached us and they even let us fumble along trying to figure out a bumbleride while they watched from behind their computer!
bo bebe walked us through all the styles of strollers that would suit us, showed us every aspect of each one and helped us buy the valco..which we LOVE! We had to wait an extra 2 weeks due to a back order but they offered us a free loaner if we were desparate..now that is good service!!
We also needed cotton diapers, and after our own research and talking to other moms, bo bebe was the only store in town that carried the bum genius with all the needed accessories to go with them, they explained the importance of good detergent, what covers and liners to use and how to care for the diapers, we probably spent 45 minutes going over it all and by the end, there were 2 other couples listening in and we all left super impressed with the level of knowledge and help.
thank you bo bebe, we will be back for the summer valco accessories this weekend and you were right about the wool cover pant for night time diapering, it saves changing my sheets every morning!
keep up the awesome job- we tell all our friends to shop ONLY your stores!

First paragraph is identical to next review. You are ridiculous.
I relied on Bo Bebe in Crowfoot Calgary for both of my babies rooms and have been sorely disappointed both times when trying to order goods from this store. In both cases (two years apart) they failed to process my orders for crib sets and I had been left either scrambling to get the set in time for my baby's arrival or in the latest case, I am left without my order. After 8 weeks (the time they'd said it would take to receive my order) I went into the store to inquire about its whereabouts, they informed me that it had not even been ordered! This despite having taken a deposit at the time of purchase. They were barely apologetic and after I asked for a refund on my deposit, they inadvertantly processed my refund as a purchase! I don't know how this store is still in business. If it weren't for all the yuppie moms who want quality baby goods and few retailers available, this store would be out of business.
Buyer beware at Bo bebe. I purchased a large ticket item at Bo Bebe earlier this year. I can only describe my experience with them and their staff as rude, unpleasant, unaccomodating, and apparently unaware of their own policy shortcommings. I purchased a major item from the people at Bo bebe. Some months later, the item came in. I happily came in to pick it up, paid for the item, and went home. Once it was out of the package, I discovered that the product was defective. I called on several occassions to report the defective product, and was met with repeated promises of "a call back"; which were never met with a return call. I decided to purchase the same product at a similar price at another Calgary based retailer, and was going to return the product back to Bo bebe for refund. To my surprise, the person told me that they would not accept a return, nor would they offer a credit towards any other purchases (I had only paid for this a few days earlier). After several rude comments were directed towards me by the person on the phone, I decided this was a conversation for which no resolution was to be had, so I decided to investigate on my own. Apparently, they've decided to impliment a policy of no return for the item, regardless of product difficiencies, in what I can only assume is an attempt to protect Bo Bebe's core values - their bottom line profit margins. Interestingly, I as I studied the sales invoices and reciepts, I discovered that Bo Bebe has failed to document this policy anywhere on my reciept. I questioned this, and was told that thats just the way it is. It was by far the worst purchasing experience I've encountered, during a time which is supposed to be an exciting and joyous time.
Needless to say, I will never purchase anything from them again.
