Dufferin Queen Animal Hospital

I came to the Dufferin Queen Animal hospital with one of my dogs who was not eating. My dogs never ever skip a meal. I therefore knew that there was something drastically wrong with him. When I came in the staff could see that I was very anxious and were very supportive. The doctor, Dr. Thind, did a thorough exam and determined that firstly Fred was dehydrated and then recommended some preliminary lab work. She ordered the results asap and later that day she called to let me know that some of his values were over the top out of line. Long story short, she helped me and Fred through a very difficult and unusual gall bladder issue.
I have been seeing Dr. Thind with all my dogs ever since. She has managed one of my other dog's heart murmur and taken care of all their general medical care including regular dentals for the past several years. Not only are the doctor and staff very professional, they are very caring and I feel that they are always there for me and my dogs should I need them. The atmosphere is welcoming and my dogs actually like the staff and their vet, something that I have not experienced in the past.
A couple of years ago I needed to bring Andre, another one of my dogs, into the clinic for the same type of reason, not eating. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with pancreatits and subsequently lymphoma. Dr. Thind helped me and my husband through a very difficult time as we made the decision of what should be done to help Andre. We did not wish to see him suffer and yet we wanted him to be as comfortable as possible so that we could have a little more time with him. She was instrumental in guiding us through the disease, letting us know what signs to look for which would indicate when he was no longer being effectively managed by his medication. Thanks to her guidance, we got to spend an extra 5 weeks with him and prepare ourselves for his passing without Andre suffering. Though definitely an emotionally trying and difficult time, she provided us with much kindness and support. Saddened as I am today thinking about my Andre and still missing him, I am grateful to have had such a warm and caring vet assist me and my husband through this difficult ordeal.

I would and frequently do recommend Dr. Thind and her staff to friends and acquaintances. Though I don't live in the neighbourhood, I consider the drive well worth it. If you are looking for a caring and very well qualified vet, I would encourage you to consider Dr. Thind at Dufferin Queen Animal Hospital.

Dr Thind and Dr Gill walked me into a huge costing procedure into the thousands. My Animal had to put down. Horrible people including the manager Alexandra stating she informed me of things which she did not on discharge, Unfair treatment. They do not deserve a half star but had no choice to hit half star to post this. Go to any other clinic but this one.
