Canadian Tire Service - Centre Auto, Montreal Reviews (1)
I had three of my vehicules seviced there for battery replacements, engine misfires, oil changes and minor suspension problems by a couple of different mechanics. The only one good mechanic was a man called MOHAMED he was quick, coutious, respectful and new what he was doing.
At the counter I was served by 2 different guys one was the manager Giovanni who at first seemed like a good guy and went a little out of his way "according to him" on a electrical problem I had on my jeep cherokee. I WAS TOLD by him TO REPLACE THE PART WHICH WOULD HAVE SET ME BACK A COUPLE OF HUNRED DOLLARS. |I then asked him to repair the part instead since I new a better inexpensive way of doing so, He did so but replied "I DON'T USSUALLY DO THIS FOR CUSTOMERS" like as if he's doing me a favour!! Talk about being professional, but i still thanked him only to be respectful. The next day I took my honda civic(fathers car) to have my battery replaced which I purchased there. Mr. Attitude( the manager Giovanni)wanted to charge me $37 to $51 bucks to install for two simple screws which I did on my own in less than 5 minutes. Okay he's following procedure but I then noticed my radio needed a code to function so I called him and asked: "how can I get the code"? He replies with attitude of course: "thats why we charge $37 plus...know you need to go to a dealer to get the code. The so called manager could have been honest & courtious by just directing me to the vehicules manual which has the code and by simply entering the digits to the radio itself. Getting back to that so called favor he did, the mechanic James who repaired that problem took him over an 1 1/2hrs for a 30 minute job which i was charged an hour which was fair enough I just wanted to get the **ck out of there.
The second service guy Hugo on the other hand is a dfferent story. This guy is a true proffesional, honest, courtious and goes pretty much out of his way to service you in the best way possible. This guy should be the "MANAGER" he sure could teach a thing or two to the present manager who in my opinion should return to being a mechanic. Do yourself a favor and deal with HUGO
