After some 40 odd years with an Auto Repair Company, service was ok until owner retired and son took over, then my problems and I do mean problems started ...Thank goodness I was referred to York Mills Automotive to repair a major recurring problem. Took the car in, spoke to Paul, Manager... repairs were done efficiently and now feel relaxed when I drive instead of constantly worrying when the problem will recur. Extremely pleasant repair manager and very courteous. Then two months ago, was rear ended, which slammed my car into the car ahead of me, causing damaged to both front and rear of my car. Was referred to York Mills, listing them as No. 1 in automotive repair, they certainly are! Repairs were done perfectly.,., had a bit of a problem was paint peeling on passenger side due to poor workmanship by another company. Car looked amazing when I picked it up and it’s not until a couple days later that a friend of mine asked if I had fixed the paint peel. Could not believe my eyes, this was covered over and my car (was even washed) looked brand new even though it’s 22 years old. Could not believe that they would have even bothered with this. York Mills Automotive’s repair and service are top of the line and the personnel are extremely personable. Have been referring to friends, family and even strangers.

CAN'T BLEND PEARL WHITE.

NEVER TAKE YOUR PAINT JOB TO THESE GUYS.

Seeing is believing. Check out my video of their shotty work:
https://youtu.be/hirU6kqLFpU

Lexus CT200h was painted 2 times and could not get a match. Showed the owner and he yelled at me. Literally said "I'm fed up with you". Son was no better. Said they are "not a factory". "Pearl can not be matched perfectly".

First time they painted the bumper and didn't paint up to the edge. Left a wide band of popcorn pattern white/gray at the edge. Are you kidding? You thought no one could see this?

Second time they did the right thing and blended the new bumper paint into the quarter panels. Except you can see a speckled pattern now in the quarters because they don't know how to blend the white.

Showed them and they gave me all kinds of excuses. Owner's son wouldn't even look at it. Just yelled at me.

Caveat Emptor...My opinion, long story, short...As a recommended State Farm collision facility, they failed to repair my auto as documented. Given a second attempt, they failed again. The third attempt went to a competitor who stated and displayed to State Farm and myself, that YORK MILLS AUTOMOTIVE deceptively, fraudulently, and intentionally failed to repair and disclose the truth concerning damaged interior bumper components. Subsequently, Mr. Goren in a recorded phone message, forbid myself and my family from returning to the shop, blaming me for their indiscretions.

Very unprofessional no customer service skills. I would never have any work completed again with this company.

Took my older car here 8 months ago as I was having trouble with the steering. After charging me over 100 dollars to look at it they came back with an estimate of $1900.00 to fix the problem. Since the car was hardly worth that I told them i'd have to think about doing such a large repair. I a few days later took it to another garage for second opinion. Here I was told they were going to lubricate the steering system. They charged me 25 dollars, and fixed the problem. That was 8 months ago and been fine ever since. I am just so thankful I didnt go ahead with York Mill autos advice. Beware of that place as either trying to make an easy buck or have machanics that have no idea of what they are doing.

I took my car to York Mills Automotive and asked them to check the cooling system, replace the brakes and do an oil change. What a surprise, they said there was nothing wrong with my brakes and no need to do anything. The cooling system only needed a new thermostat. I doubt there are many garages where if you tell them to replace the brakes, they are honest enough to tell you it's not needed. Honesty and integrity. I'll be back. The service was courteous and professional too.

I was initially happy with my car until I realized the paint job was poorly finished...I brought my car back and was told "no problem" and that they would get me a rental. Until it was time for the mistake to be rectified.....they took my car after telling me it's fine, there's nothing wrong with it, and that I'm being unreasonable...and left me with no rental car! Furthurmore they told me never to come back and I was not welcome! I will make sure that everyone I know that goes there is aware of their lack of customer service!!!

No impressed, in a day where customer service means a lot that failed miserably!

My warranty expired and so I decided to take my 2011 Subaru here as my husband had dealt with this company for years. I have found them to be extrmemely honest and trustworthy. When I think work needs to be done, they have told me no, I can wait, thereby saving me money. I also had some body work done here and it was amazing; the car looked brand new. I would recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I have been using the body shop for 10 years and 5 cars. We have always had geat service and Hike goes the extra mile to explain what they will be doing.

This is unique among auto shops! Helpful, friendly, honest! As a senior I am a good target (and have been!) since I need to trust what I am told. These people have saved me hundreds after others recommended needless repairs - which is why I switched! They have often checked and/or fixed some minor concern at no charge. The premises are neat, friendly and businesslike.
Recommended by my insurance company. All the awards, recognitions and personal notes of appreciation pinned up for all to see tell the real story.
Methinks perhaps nasty competition in the area might be posting negative comments! Shameful.

I have asked for the job that they have done for $80 last year even first they said the same price but after 2 min they took the car and come back and asking for more than $200.
after I asked for owner or Manager there was nobody answering me properly. nobody responsible there.
so I decided to get my car out with no repair just waste some money and time as I don't trust this place

Incompetent employees that do a horrible job of the repair and an irascible and illiterate owner that seems not to care what kind of job his employees do as long as he gets money from the insurance company. I've recently had the pleasure of getting coerced into going to them by my non-partisan insurance adjuster, which is now clear to me that she is getting something in return for recommending them. The issues regarding their work are poor quality paint finish, incomplete paint job on interior surface where they thought it might go unseen, missing clips to hold down molding and utter contempt for any customer who comes back to have the problems rectified. At first when I went to speak to the employee that was in charge of the initial repair he out right denied they had touched the molding even before being I explained to him where and how extensive the damage occurred. When I showed him on the itemized invoice that they had charged for removal and re-installation of it, he quickly changed his story to we had manhandled it and subsequently malfunctioned due to it. The owner then who had been in the vicinity came what the issue was and after talking to him he admitted that the job was done poorly because they could not acquire the clips to hold down the molding without purchasing the whole molding assembly again. This was clearly their fault for not removing the molding properly and storing the clips to reattach it; it seems that they misplaced them and stuck it on with only molding tape. I could not believe the owners response in admitting it was done poorly, so I asked him again at which time he because irate and began to shout at me... I won't even get into the issue about the poor quality paint job. It seems that they are too busy to care about doing a good job or even adequate one, my suggestion is go somewhere else... anywhere else would probably be better than here.

I've been there a few times in the past few years and I have to say I've recieved exceptional service from the staff there. I'm actually shocked at some of the reviews because that is completly not the way my experiences there have been. The price may slightly be higher then other body shops , however, you pay for what you get and that is quality!

I would definetly recommend this facility to friends and family

You must make over $75k-$80k per year.Us poorer folk can't afford this place.Wait till you have a problem
you'll be treated poorly no customer service.Maybe you just had oil and tires done.If they crack a tire rim on the machine they'll say "your rims are defective they broke"

Basically you pay for work they have not done. I paid $750 for some fixes only to find out from another mechanic that nothing was completed.

My phone calls to York Mills were not returned, when I confronted I got told "Sorry" but offered no recompense

Stay Away!!!!
