Don't let them fool you; they talk a good talk however the only thing this Clinic is interested in is your MONEY!

I took my cat there for years however in time of need when my cat was sick when I called to make an emergency appt the only thing the receptionist and manager were concerned with was the schedule suggesting I wait until the next day to bring her in. My cat was suffering, now. And after convincing them to squeeze me in they would not waive the emergency fee after having recently spent over $1,000 for care. Yes, they knew how sick she was; I finally went to another clinic for euthanasia.

This is a BUSINESS not a caring animal clinic that it claims to be. At least the other animal clinics in the city do not profess to be more than they are.

East York Animal Clinic has turned out to be a very big disappointment after all of these years. Having a dying cat is difficult enough without having to deal with cold-hearted administrative staff.

I will never go back to this clinic.

I called this clinic in search of an alternative to mainstream veterinarian care. When I went for the check up with Dr
McCutcheon he took 10 min to tell us about nutrition and then our appointment was finished. The only thing he did was check her teeth and weigh her....which is all fine if I wasn't charged $130 for the appt. We never had any shots done or received any medication, treatment etc...for $130n! When I asked why it was so high they told me that it's because it is an initial appt. How is that possible when I was quoted $63 over the phone. At least if the appt was very informative and took an hour then that would be fine. I didn't learn anything new, my puppy now has an infection the vet failed to notice and I virtually wasted my time and paid for nothing.

You do not want your beloved pet euthanized at this clinic.
This procedure is only performed at the first or last appointment of the day. I guess East York clinic believes their care is so good that pets will never die and more importantly nobody will see it happen.
Our cat was put to sleep in a very barbaric manner, not by a vet, but a animal technician who after numerous painful tries finally found a blood vessel.
We have had several cats over the years who have passed on. Every time they were given a sedative to knock them out and then painlessly put to sleep. This procedure can take up to one hour.
At East York they want it done fast to get you out if there. God help them if the next patient sees a dead animal or a loving owner in tears.

Took my cat to see Dr. Anya, after a stressful event at a previous vet clinic. I was worried my kitty would respond like he did at the other place, hissing and growling. But he was fine! Dr. Anya and the assistant Anne were so gentle and soothing with him. They took time to listen to all his symptoms and take a proper history. I can tell they sincerely care about his wellbeing. I am so grateful to have found this place.

Dr. McCutcheon and Dr. Kneebone provide cutting-edge holistic care for pets. I'd never dream of taking my exotic Bengal cats anywhere else. They take the time to listen and provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment services that are second to none.

For anyone that truly cares about the health and wellbeing of their pet, I would strongly recommend making East York Animal clinic your primary vet, even if you have to travel a long distance to get there. It is well worth it, not just for cost, but the treatment and advice you will receive from the staff.
